Good morning everyone,
Sunny and currently 75; the high will be 84.
Our street is finished for now. Another team will come back at a later date to put cement on the holes but for now they are closed with asphalt. Looks ugly!
I have a few errands to do today. Can't wait to get in my car and go.
Hang in there Bettyj!
Hope everyone has a great day,

Morning All!
Betty special prayers for Dave – that poor guy, he’s had more than his share, that’s for sure. Hopefully he’ll get the jump on that clot, and they will let him home soon…. Take care of yourself please!
Marilyn to be honest, I never thought about the height of my glasses. I had to look and my eyebrows can be seen above mine. Isn’t it amazing that someone actually wrote an instructional article on the proper and most attractive size for your glasses? I think the most important point is do you like them? If you do, then buy those suckers, if you’re not sure, wait and try on some more. Glasses are really expensive these days, so it’s not a quick purchase, but don’t worry over it too much. There are so many other things in this life that are higher up on the scale of worry. It’s sort of like haircuts, eventually it will grow out, or you will need to buy new ones, so chill and enjoy the trying on experience……
Oh man – Tony Bennett is singing “Blue Velvet” on Alexa right now – I have a sway going on…. He can put me in the zone so quickly………
Went to the ortho yesterday and got shots in both hands. A bit Ouchy when it happens, but by last night relief was in sight. He basically told me that I might need surgery on my right hand, if relief from the injections is not long lasting. Sounds gross, but they go in and shave the bone. There’s extensive PT after to get full mobility back. This is a Scarlet O’Hara moment - I guess I’ll think about that tomorrow………
The storms that hit NJ were basically in the southern portion of the state – up here just a few short lived deluges – no thunder and lightning, thank goodness. The temps have dropped down into the 70s, so its going to be a really pleasant day. Time to play.
Everyone enjoy their day!

Good morning everyone
Betty- I hope Dave is doing better today
Emily- enjoy your car ride.
Peggy Sue- sounds like a relaxing day. Yay
Today I need to pick up an order from kohl’s. Then I think that’s the last time out of the house until lip treatment is over. Yesterday the heat from mask made lips hurt. I even use the plastic bracket and the mask does not touch my lips. Also last night could not be in front of open oven door to get pans out. So I need to keep away from heat.
Today is day #3 with the lip medicine. So far going ok. I can see a change happening but no blisters yet. Looking forward to normal lips.
Dayle- I am being careful because I will have it on my face for about 2-3 years. Also will cost around $900 with insurance coverage. Sticker shock for sure. They do seem big but not huge. The width is same as I have now. Just bigger from top to bottom. The styles for a few years have been bigger. A friend of mine told me to get them because I look younger. I took pictures in the eye office with it on. Probably look younger because they are in style.
Anyone else have eye glasses at eyebrows or above or below. Interesting poll. Lol

Mar - There you go again. Looking up on internet to see what kind of glasses to wear. Why would you care what 'They' say will make you look younger or up-to-date right now. Guess you will look older next year and no longer be up-to-date. You (looking in the mirror) and your DH are the only ones that are going to see them Daily. It's more important that you can SEE comfortably and that YOU like the way you look in them.
Like Dayle, I had to look in the mirror. Mine are just below the brows. Never thought about it. Bet you would not have thought about it either if you hadn't looked on the internet.

Peggy Sue- I looked on internet to see current styles. Then I saw the recommendation of being below eyebrows. Then I looked at a lot of eyeglasses photos and 95% are below eyebrows. It does look better. Mine now are below eyebrows. Since I went natural white hair and a updated style I want the right eyeglasses to complete the look.
When I am at parties and events I like to dress in style. I am age 68 and want to look my age and not 100. Lol lol. Stylish eye glasses will definitely be a good choice when I find the right one. I dress in style because I feel great when looking updated.
Part of the issue is my eyelids are droopy and eyebrows are a little lower than they should be. So they would be under eyebrows if my eyes were not droopy.
This frame is kinda in the center of my eyebrows. It’s a narrow titanium frame. There are tons of eyeglasses to choose from. I will look at them again when the black color comes in. This one is a light purple. Kinda like it.
Most of the people I know do not wear glasses. Either wear contacts or they had the surgery to not need them.

HI CALLERS, I did get the results, kinda hard to understand some medical terms and the word they use. looks like everything is ok in the insides.have not heard from the clinic yet, not sure if there will be a call or a letter.
I do feel and sound somewhat better, just can't get rid of the bloating and burping.
PENNY I am thinking about sending MARY JO A CARD. I will not go over, she refuse to get the vaccine.now I The hospital gave her one I DO NOT KNOW.
those who do not get the vaccine are the ones keeping the virus alive and spreading.
MAR, I AGREE GO WITH WHAT MAKES YOU FEEL GOOD. There is a surgery for droopy eyelids. my retried diabetic nurse had it done and she looks wonderful
my glasses come up to my eyebrows..some years back, when they came out with smaller frames And lenses I hated those.
hope BETTY is having a good visit with Dave.PHYL

Mar, the last time the effects of the shots lasted about 2 months. The Doc said that was a pretty good response. I tried to hold out, you hear rumors about how the cortisone ruins the cartilage. The Doc said that would be true if there was any cartilage left in there (guy has a wicked sense of humor). He would hold back if he was injecting a 20 or 50 year old. He said since my thumb is "pretty much trashed" and this was the way to go. I just couldn't stand the pain any more - no opening jars, dropping things left and right and the ultimate bummer - no playing with my minis. The pain is pretty much gone, except if I push too hard and it should improve over the next few days.
My glasses were expensive too - about $700 so I understand you trying to be careful. I just try to not look at myself very often, so I go for passable as opposed to something that looks really good. You are a different butterfly than I - more social, more out and about. Ms. Lily is basically the main person that sees my glasses!

My new glasses are just below the eyebrow, the top part of the frames are quite thin and wider at the sides. longer at top and shorter at bottom. Not sure what shape that is called but it looked the best on me. there were even some cat eye ones but neither the tech nor me liked them on me. I am also fussy as yes they are for me to see better but I want them to look good and be a good color for me. I don't wear necklaces much anymore except for my thin white gold chain and the little diamond in motion so to me they are a piece of jewelry as well. Helps with the dark circles and the little puffiness I have had there for years. Vain ? sure why not and I look on google for new styles of earrings, and jewelry. I still want to be "in style."
Betty gosh I am sorry about Dave. Kind of a round robin with blood thinner or blood clots giving problems. He can't win , can he. Scary.
Ouch shots in both hands. sounds painful, I thought a shot in my foot near the Achilles tendon was bad!! Never had a shot hurt like that one but never had one in hand and bet it is worse.
We didn't get the storms either, they actually went south of Pittsburgh and I am north of Pittsburgh. We had a some rain but more like a sprinkle . no major wind.
Guess your lips wouldn't like hot tea either!!! I am on an iced coffee kick right now, last time I got the blender out and made it in that. YUM and I don't like hot coffee much. These are envelopes of coffee and just add cold water and ice, or cold milk and ice. I am using the cold water and ice. Going to get some Reddi Whip for on top. or cool whip.
