Morning All!
Betty you sound tired and worried. Wish I could be there for you – just a hand hold or maybe a hug. Please take care of you.
Marilyn why the “on the couch” kind of day for you yesterday? That’s not your style – usually you have plenty of things lined up to keep you busy. Were you feeling all right? How’s the lip?
Lin glad Miki is settling down to a normal sugar level. We do worry about our pets something terrible, don’t we? The Princess has some gunk like stuff building up in her eyes and I tried to get a vet appointment for her this week coming up. The first available time is the 23 of August – that’s not going to work. Left a message to have the vet call me instead. It’s not the normal discharge that dogs sometimes get – and I’m not fooling around with her eyes.
Today is supposed to be another beauty. Temps are down in the high 70s and the air is dry – maybe even some sun. Going to tend the plants on the deck and then work in my cubby.
Wishing all a pleasant Saturday!
Dayle

Good morning everyone
Today we are going to an inside mall that does not have mandatory mask wearing. It’s a different county. Then I can walk without worried about getting sun on lips. Not going in any stores. Will be crowded and not in a shopping mood. The walking will feel good. Might help with my energy level and my mood.
I do not feel good. No energy. Probably stress over all these health issues. Also having very mild pain in my thyroid area when pressing on it. This was going on prior to starting the lip medicine. Not sure if it’s my throat or thyroid. I still have post nasal drip and taking Claritin. I do not feel any lumps. No swelling. No pain until I press in that area. My blood tests were all in normal range except potassium which was slightly low. I have an appointment on Friday August 6 to have him check it out. Probably the post nasal drip. Seems somewhat better when I went back on Claritin. Seems like one Heath issue after another. Trying to not get depressed.
My lips have not started blistering yet. I am on day #4. It takes a while before kicking in. Feel like I am waiting to have head blown off. Lol lol. Phone appointment with dermatologist is on Wednesday so he can monitor the treatment. He wants photos emailed to him.
My burned and cut hand is doing great. Burn is totally healed with no scars. The cut is about 90% healed up. Glad this is history and off my worry list.
Definitely need to vacuum and dust the entire house this weekend. Hubby is doing a lot to help but I want to do it. Not good to just sit all day so need to try hard to keep moving.
Dayle- hope Lily eye is ok. How are hands feeling today?

Good afternoon everyone,
Sunny and a beautiful day in the 70's.
Went to WW Workshop and weighed in after being away for 2 weeks. I lost 1.8#. Really happy about this loss. I've been having swelling in my feet but it seems to have disappeared today.
Church tonight at 5pm. No other plans.
Have a great day!

Hello everyone
We had a wonderful walk at the beautiful inside mall about 20 minutes from our house. Was delightful to not wear a mask. Then hubby wanted to look at a new house area near the mall that is in phase 2. We could not find it. Then we got a late lunch from El Pollo Loco. Yum.
phyl,Phyl- you need to be diagnosed with IBS before following a IBS diet. You could have a gluten issue. Also you might have developed an egg sensitivity, milk or other sensitivities will also cause bloating. When I stopped eating egg yolks I felt better. I have egg white omelette when wanting eggs. I can eat eggs in bakery items. Just not a lot of whole eggs. No quiche. No Caesar salad dressing or any sauces with egg base. I also cannot eat ice cream, regular milk or regular yogurt. I drink almond milk. Eat yogurt made with almond milk. I can eat regular frozen yogurt ok. Cheese is fine for me.
My best advice is to keep a food log. List what food, time of day, amount and how you felt after. You will see a pattern of what you eat and not feel good. Sometimes the poor food choices won’t show symptoms until next day. That’s why a detailed log works. Also you can show the log to the doctor. Then the elimination process not eating the foods that make you feel ill.
The FODMAP is an elimination program. I stopped eating tons of food choices and then added them back in one at a time. Found out a lot that I thought was ok was actually causing problems. It’s a long process and hard to do it but I was so glad I now know exactly what I can and cannot eat.
Feel free to ask me any questions and hope I can help you.
The foods I know will make me not feel good I never eat. It’s not worth triggering a attack. It’s very challenging to discover exactly what to eat. We rarely get fast food and when we do it usually El Pollo Loco because healthy. We do dine in restaurants about once a week and I am careful what I choose to eat. Nothing fried. But once in a while I do eat a few French frys. Not often. It is very hard for me to eat at someone’s home. Between food issues and seafood allergy it’s hard. Most of my friends know what I can eat but once in a while I go to a party and have a hard time eating.
