Woohoo, it's summertime! Here comes the sun! This summer how about joining in for our Summer Minds 3 month challenge? For the next 3 months, we're going to concentrate on clean and mindful eating. With the abundance of fresh, delicious produce and convenience of grilling outside, what a great time to work on clean eating. Of course, summer also brings a lot of tasty treats but there's nothing wrong with an occasional treat, that's where the mindfulness comes in. As well as eating cleanly most of the time, we'll be paying attention to our portions sizes and stopping when satisfied. let's enjoy our healthiest summer yet!
WELCOME EVERYONE anytime and yes you can walk/jog/run or combo, cycle, spin, swim, aerobic classes, elliptical machine, yoga, Pilates, strength train and core work too!
Each week you set and post your own attainable mileage/minutes goal and strive to achieve it. Saturday through Friday is our fitness week with Saturday morning weigh-ins(WI). WIs are encouraged but optional. There is no judgement here.
This challenge runs June 1 through September 1, 2021.

I start over today I wen t to ER last night because my left knee really hurt. My wheelchair had slid down a curve my caretaker's son and I got a little bruise but they said it was soft tissue Mu occupational therapist is coming over today. Today I paid 2 credit cards. One will be done by January 2022 and the other will be done by January 2023. Russ is taking Scott and I to the Credit Union today after work. both russ and I have to get a cashiers check for rent. I also want to take out money for food for the month. And get 2 rolls of quarters to do laundry. I m going to get an infusion for 15 minutes soon at a hospital. They have to call. I hope I don't get the see effect that people had in the trials. It is for osteoporosis. The side effect its flue symptoms. You take the infusion once a year for 3 years and it will protect my back and hips. I also am taking 6 Tums a day. And 100.000 milligrams of Vitamin D. a month 50,000 twice m month. I am so glad I have good doctors. I have a new nurse and case manager at my family Care program insurance. They are both named Jennifer. I have a good ombudsman who will come next week Wednesday for my hearing. My occupational therapist comes today at noon. I went shopping yesterday. I got enough apples for 4 a day for aw week. I am eating 4 meals a day oatmeal and apple for 4 meals. I hope that I can get Meals on wheels to supplement. I am going to ask for vegetarian. They do that well at noon. today I am going to ask Scott if he can do laundry for me. He also is going to finish putting a shower chair together and a walker that came that I hope to use Saturday to go to Weight Watchers. I did the start twice because I forgot to put my Weight in.

Good morning! Thanks for starting us Amy!
Amy, hope your knee is feeling better today. How's the broken leg coming along? Scott sounds like a good friend.
My exercise is coming along well. I am frustrated though, because I was just starting to go to the gym again and now the covid numbers are climbing in our county of upstate NY! I would SO love to be a able to smack all those un-vaccinated that are screwing it up for the rest of us! We're going to Ocean City in a month and my eldest son's fiancee, although fully vaccinnated, is immune compromised, so we're all masking up and limiting our movements at least until after our vacation. We were supposed to start reporting into the office at least once a week starting in August but I talked with my boss and he's okay with me holding off till I get back from vacay in September. I'm so lucky to have him for my boss -he's been my boss for a little over a year now and he's the best I've had.
Syracuse is home of the NY state fair which is last two weeks of August, so I will really be staying home then! We leave for the beach labor day weekend. My sister is going to house sit and cat sit for me while we're gone. She's great with the cats, they may not let me and SuSu back home, lol!

Hello Everyone Amy you are such a planner! I am so bad at that. I am glad you didnt break anything when you had to go to the ER Deb, I can work from home but I seem to move faster with projects when I am at work I made black bean chili It wasnt bad but needs more flavor. I think maybe cooking it longer might have helped to absorb the flavor

I walked out to a place called Repeat Boutique. I bought 3 blouses, 1 of which actually fits right now. But maybe in another month I also found a couple of maternity shirts/blouses for my DIL Carol.
I had a big NSV a bit ago. I really thought about having a beer while I was making dinner but then had a seltzer water instead. That is huge for me.
