This thread was started before the dawn of time by Amazons who needed to compare their stats with other Amazons. Over time it grew into a community of incredible women who try to keep their spirits in the clouds and their feet on the ground, moving toward health. Most of us start at 5'7 and go up from there, from young singles to wise and lively elders of the tribe. We welcome newcomers who are willing to be kind and share a bit of their lives.

GM Cats! I don't know about you, but this week seems to be flying by. I had a blue dot yesterday, which feels good this morning. I feel more in control when within that zone. Martha it sounds like you are doing well on your classes. Good for you! I have some things to do this am, so I will be back to see if anyone else is up and stopping by.

Morning!, This was supposed to be the week I caught up on all things and got myself in gear while MM is at the beach. Hasn't happened. Work has been crazy and I've been eating my fatigue and stress. Things sound so easy but never are. What the heck is a blue dot? It's been so long I've nearly forgotten.
So good to see everyone here the last couple of days. I need to feel connected to my village!
Congrats on the testing Martha! You will be safely at the finish line soon!
I love seeing Shari in the south! But I'm jealous of all the car knitting. At least I do get a bit of that these days as I never did before.
Sending good TM vibes Lynne. I envy that in control feeling and vow to experience it today!
Colleen, the one thing I remember about my trips to CR is the aroma. Like no other! And seeing the line of trucks rolling to the plant in the morning. And the miles of cornfields as my plane landed. Wait, that's more than one thing! So happy you said YTTD!
MCat, I always get energy from your posts! I try to suck it in to pump me up.
Thinking of you and the conference Anne, and T deep in vacation planning mode!
Exciting news about the NPO pKate. I know a thing or two about running them after 20+ years! Holler if I can help in any way.
Need to run and get ready to go. Fingers crossed for a calmer day today!

Gosh, it's good to see more of us wandering in. I am trying to absorb some energy from y'all.
My eating has been stress-driven and off the rails. The elusive blue dot still calls to me, though.
OMG, I just saw the clock. Got to go. But it was good to read the posts and touch base.

Aloha, Long and Lovelies!!!
Can I crow for just a second? DS got a "Master's Level" on his STAAR testing (TX mandatory testing)!!!!!!! I am soooooo proud of him! He worked for it too! He mentioned that he was commended last year, and wanted to get it on both Math and Reading this year, and he did it in spades!!!! I am so very, very, very VERY proud of him!!! And quite, frankly, what a timely "F*** You" to XH. Take that!!! DS and I are going to figure out a way to celebrate this afternoon when he gets back from school. There is a new ice cream place called Sub Zero here (apparently they use cryogenics to personally make your ice cream) that I think would be a cool treat. Particularly since DS said the other day that he wants to be a scientist.
Frieda, hop back on that TM today! Get back on the track! You know you feel better now - keep going! I always think it is harder to stay OP once you get going, no matter how much momentum you initially have. The work is in the journey itself. I hope all other things are progressing as well.
Susan, I'm so glad I can give you energy! Here is some more!!!! I have been trying really, really hard to stay positive at work and only make positive statements, despite continually getting frustrated. I feel like I say the same things over and over.....that never works well for me. But, I will keep trying. I hope you can find one thing you can do TODAY to not eat your fatigue and stress. Is it one reminder to yourself before you grab something? Is it sitting down instead of standing? You know what works for you....
T!!! I am the Blue Dot! Come to the Blue Dot! On a side note, I have to tell you that I find it amusing that DS is starting to get in to that game "Portal." Do you remember when he first played that at your house? Such fond memories....
Shari, how did the dinner party go?
Colleen, it sounds like you are really liking Orange Theory. There is one opening here near us....do you ever work with the coaches/trainers there? I ask because I know they are looking for people.
Martha, good for you on the quizzes! Is the final soon? I hope your DMom's move results in faster recovery. Hugs!
Okay, thinking of our other CATs who are posting or lingering. Let's keep the momentum going! Hugs!!!

Hi All! Feeling the MCat cheering section here in SC today. Hi to everyone from sunny, warm land. We got caught in pouring rain yesterday when shopping (found 2 dresses at Belk for graduation, recital) but I didn't mind. Having fun. Dinner was good, good company as well. Congrats to DS, MCat! Super! Have to go - my turn for shower. Waving....

What?? Two posts in One Week from me? I do back read and keep up with what is happening - just don't get here everyday.
Colleen - When I was a grade schooler we lived 2 blocks south of Center Point Rd. As a 7 year old I walked 8 blocks to school by myself crossing Center Point and Oakland Rd. It was "safe" I guess, back in the day. Good for you and S seeing lower numbers.
Come On, Susan!!! Let's right this ship! Text me! Do you have travel plans anytime soon?
Hooray for a Blue-Dot day, Freida. You sound like you have more confidence and strength when you earn the dot. How are your girls doing?
Martha - It sounds like the classes are going very well! Good luck with the final. Will this be a new career path for you? I wish your DM a speedy recovery.
Time is marching on, Shari! It will be fun to set up your new apartment. Will you eventually look for a house? It's nice you will not have to fight the cold and snow - I do like the change in the seasons, but I wish our summer was a bit longer and our winters were a bit shorter.
T - You've been so busy of late. Was this expected with your new position?
Andrea - How far are you from Estes?
Nice weather this weekend will want me to start planting, pKate. But I will hold off as these northern climates will surely present another freeze. I find I am usually safe to put our seedlings by Memorial day.
MCat - You are always the Cheerleader! Although I have never met you I can "hear" you. You have every right to be a proud Momma (yes - take that XH)- I think with your parenting skills you more than make up for his. Sorry you are frustrated at work.
Was it MCat that asked if things have "normalized"? Answer - yes, however another protest will be popping up - I believe some of them moved on to NY pipeline? - I think it was. And there have been many odd requests at the counties in Montana and South Dakota indicating that as the Keystone gets rolling they will be back. I feel for any community that gets inundated - it will turn out to be an environmental disaster and a HUGE bill. The clean-up in Morton County was over $1.5 million. They are masters of Social Media manipulation - with 90% of it untrue, but it speaks to the hearts of many who wish to do good.
Better get a move on, here.

Night time check in. I got my TM time in (first time in a week) and onto earning a blue dot. You are right Karla, It does feel better to be in control. Don't you love the cat village check ins? Any trips for you this summer?
Susan, is there anything you can do to get back in the groove? Since MM is away, is it possible to get the TM time in at night if it won't work in the am? What day are you going to WW?
Shari, do you like your new digs? Have you connected with Susan yet? As you are the town over. Mick went with you on this trip?
T: Hello there! Keep popping by when you can.
Kate: you too, keep stopping by.
Martha, I'm glad you are doing well on your tests. I hope you have a loss this week too so you can finally get off that teeter totter.
BLUE DOT RECAP! Leading the pack is MARTHA with 5 dots. She also posted a 2 pound loss, followed by SAM with 5 dots also and a 2 pound loss. Next up is ANDREA and COLLEEN with 4 Blue Dots. Pulling up the rear is FRIEDA with 3 dots and SHARI with 1 dot. Both had small gains.
I know it's late in the week for a recap, but it's less than two weeks left to Susan's birthday and the END of our contest. Let's take whatever dots we have this week, and forgive, forget and move on. We will finish STRONG in our last week.
My personal goal is to finish out this contest with as many blue dots as possible. If I do that, I hope the weight will come down with every dot. I just want to weigh less than my starting weight at contest end, and right now I'm ABOVE it. The girls are not with me this weekend, so that will help for at least two days/nights of light eating. Have a good night, and see you all tomorrow.
