I am a newbie on these boards but I am not new to WW. I have recently recommitted after having been off the plan for months. I've gained back about half of weight I'd lost. My total loss now is 18.4 but I was down 31 pounds. I am trying not to beat myself up but it is so frustrating because I've been trying for so long to reach goal. I have about 40 more pounds to go. I started out doing really good during the pandemic but I lost it in November and have not been able to get back 100% on track since then. In November I took an early retirement package from my work so my life changed then and also the stress from the pandemic. I thought it would be much easier after retirement but it seems to be harder to control my eating. I have managed to stay consistent with my exercise as I walk about 4 mornings a week and do videos a couple days. I attended a local virtual workshop on Friday and I have been back on track since. I am hoping to be able to get back to my in person meeting soon.
I am looking forward to getting to know you fellow WWers.
Have a great Sunday!

gettnfit!! Welcome, I love your name 🤗 What you wrote ^ could have been written (with a few minor changes of course) by 99% of the human race. 😉 Good for you for jumping back into the fray. The good news is we are here to support you and help you get back on track in addition to everything else you are doing. 🤗 Make sure to check us out on the general board and hop on in any threads you want, this forum is filled with amazing people. Once things calm down I can't wait to get back to in-person meetings and really looking forward to the new program coming out. Good luck!!

gettnfit - Welcome to these boards! I understand the frustration of regaining - I did it many many times myself before finally learning to get to goal and maintain. But no point in looking back at what you didn't do in the past. You're here now, back on track, and you went to a virtual meeting - way to go - you're doing great!

gettnfit, Welcome. The good thing about having lost 31 pounds is that you know you can do it. And, you still have a good loss. I am a lifetime member currently above goal and I went off the rails about the same time you did. I also did reasonably well during the early part of Covid but it fell part late last year. I think part of it was just the holidays coming and not much to do except eat. Wanting to be festive but with little opportunity to be festive. And, once I got off track finding it hard to get back on. I also just recommitted. I recognized that the past doesn't matter. What matters is what I do now. It is the same for you. Don't look back. Just focus on what you can do today.

I had a lot of medical + personal stuff going on so went on a hiatus, but I'm back now.
