Hello Everyone
Ginny - Hope you can figure out the sizes of the masks so you can get them done. I'm glad you've had a few contractor quotes, it has to be so difficult to pick the best one. Hope you don't get much rain before they can get things fixed for you.
Ruth - Sounds like you are making several pretty projects, hope you get them done so you can get them mailed.
Phyl - Sorry to hear you had to go to the hospital, but I'm glad you are feeling better. The guild banquet sounds nice and you have some fun quilting times coming up.
Sue - Hope the weather there is nice and you are doing well.
It's a bit cooler here today - in the 80s. Maybe we're done with 90 degree weather for the season.
I finished making the quilt top this morning where I used up those extra half square triangles from another quilt. It finished at 44x44 and is a nice tabletop size. It was just fun to use up those leftovers.
I also pulled out an old quilt top I made probably 15 or more years ago. It was from a Block of the Month I did at a Virginia quilt shop. I had thought about adding another border to it, but I'm going to leave it at 69x89. I'm really not happy with the sashing I used on it - the size and the fabric. I would never have made those choices now. It's funny to see how much my style and likes have changes, along with getting more experience.
I actually thought about ripping the whole top apart since when I look at it all I see is the sashing, but I think once it is quilted that will help tone it down some. It definitely needs to be done on a long arm with a nice overall edge to edge pattern.
The tote that I had been storing this top in had a bunch of other odds and ends in it, so I'm going to through them tomorrow morning and figure out what to do with them. It looks like they are mostly leftovers from old projects.
I have several totes in my sewing room separated by project types - embroidery, English Paper Piecing, patterns, kits, pre-cuts, a Farm Girl Vintage one, and hand piecing. I think I will go through these over the next few months and get them better organized. Maybe I'll find some fun projects in them that I forgot about
Hope you are all having a good day and get to do some crafting. Take care
