Good Morning Challengers
Yesterday I did all 6 of my main HHs, stayed in my š zone of pts.
My āKISSā HHs (Keep it Simple and Specific) - Avoid salted snacks: š - JGTB: š
1 microhabit: - āNo seconds with snackā: š
Yesterday we walked 2 mi to get groceries before breakfast, and I did 14 mins of my PT floor exercises at the last minute before dinner.
Beck tip of the day: Wednesday Sabotage: IĀ donātĀ want to work on healthy eating right now because I just donāt feel like thinking about it.Ā Response:āÆEither way,Ā IāmĀ going to think about it. WhenĀ IāmĀ off track, I spend time thinking about needing to get back on track and feeling guilty about my eating.Ā ThereāsĀ no such thing as not thinking about it.Ā
KELLY - GFY 2 mi, OP and tracking. Yes maybe I can get more PT in if I do smaller segments. Iām motivated right now because feeling twinges in my knees and worried about core strength, bone health, and balance. I stand on one leg while doing things in the kitchen.
Be well and take care, for ourselves, and for each other.

Beck tip of the day: Thursday Think Tip: If you think, āItās not really that important to go to bed on time,ā remind yourself, āIt really is that important. Staying up too late makes me overeat both at night and the next day, because I have less mental and physical energy. Staying on track is hard enough as it is ā itās worth doing everything I can to make it easier.āĀ
KELLY - Thanks for the encouragement. GFY with the OP, tracking and 2 mi indoors despite the rain.
Be well and take care, for ourselves, and for each other.

Good Morning!! I did a 2 mile WATP yesterday. Stayed OP and tracked. Fortunately the sun did shine yesterday afternoon but did not have a chance to walk outside due to work and having to go to the class the DH and I are attending at Church on Thursday nights on the Book of Acts.
Went got my Wellness Blood Work yesterday morning and everything is still good. Thank you Jesus.

Yesterday we walked 2.1 before breakfast.
Looks like they are finishing up in our alley and weāll be able to drive again š It was an interesting experiment to see how we could handle no vehicle access for a week and a half. The benefits of being in a city. Weāll need the cars next week. Made me grateful we can drive. Itās so difficult for people who canāt.
Beck tip of the day: Friday Weekend Warm-up: Weāve been asking this a lot lately, but weāll ask it again: what are you doing for FUN this weekend? We know that many of our old possibilities are not always an option anymore, but there is still fun to be had besides eating.Ā
KELLY - Yes Iām grateful for this recent consistency and trying to just focus on one day at a time. It always feels so good when Iām in the healthy habit groove. GFY OP, tracking and 2 mi WATP. The study group on the Book of Acts sounds interesting. So glad your blood work is good, Amen! Iām waiting to see how my special blood labs come back re the osteoporosis. My regular labs were good.
Be well and take care, for ourselves, and for each other.

TGIFRIDAY!
Just a quick check in to catch up. Our HS reunion is this weekend, so I'm pretty swamped, but it a good way:)
I went to water class Wed., Thurs., and today (6 miles), and I walked a mile at my volunteer gig Wednesday. I also stretched twice.
Have a super weekend everyone! I have actually worn a jacket the last couple of days!

My āKISSā HHs (Keep it Simple and Specific) - Avoid salted snacks: š - JGTB: š 1 microhabit: - āNo seconds with snackā: š Yesterday we walked 2.1 before breakfast and I did 20 mins floor Physical Therapy before dinner. This am I attended my virtual WW Workshop and it was great. The monthās theme is āOvercoming Obstaclesā and the weekās technique is on snacking. www.weightwatchers.com/us/m/cms/article/plan-ahead-stop-late-night-eatingThey took a poll in the group about snacking and the largest number had a problem with late night snacking compared to other snacking issues. Some people had problems like grazing or situational triggers like coming home after work. The coach emphasized how we can put guidelines in place around our snacking just as our parents put guidelines on our behaviors. Iāve been having good success by sticking with āNo seconds with snackā and JGTB. Also āno eating out of the container.ā One member said she empties the Pringles after buying it and puts the amount of pts she wants for her serving size into baggies. Her serving size is less than the serving size listed on the container - just the amount of points she wants. CAROL - GFY with the water class 3 days for 6 mi, stretching and 1 mi at volunteer work. Enjoy your reunion and weekend! Be well and take care, for ourselves, and for each other. Cait

SATURDAY!
CAIT -- the line about "just like our parents put guidelines around our behavior" is a keeper! Thanks for sharing. Good job with walking and PT.
Reunion Night #1 was fun! People made positive comments about my name tags (I think I made about 250 for classmates and guests), so that felt good. Night #2 is tonight, and a classmate who works on Broadway has put together quite a show, I guess. He isn't currently working, of course, so he had plenty of time. Good thing he is a buddy of mine and is extremely funny!
I went for a walk this afternoon (2).

Yesterday we walked 3 mi after breakfast, stopped at the Farmers Market at the park for some fruits and vegs, and walked to pickup takeout lunch. We spent a nice afternoon on the patio. I did 23 mins of my floor PT exercises before dinner.
CAROL - Glad you enjoyed the reunion night 1 and your work was appreciated š¤. Night 2 sounds like fun! How are you handling covid risks? Are these events indoors? GFY with the 2 mi walk. How did your back do?
Be well and take care, for ourselves, and for each other.

Hereās the WW Weekly technique article: āGet your squad involved - How to be on WWā¦even if your crew isnāt.ā www.weightwatchers.com/us/m/cms/article/how-be-wweven-if-your-crew-isntWeāve heard it before: Setting up your environment for success is seriously helpful. But our environment isnāt just limited to physical spacesāit also includes the people in our lives. Whether itās your mom, son, friend, or coworker, you being on WW can impact them and vice versa. Getting someone close to you involvedāwithout pressuring them to do exactly what youāre doingācan make it easier to stick with the program and give you support. While your hubby may want to help you cook a healthy meal, your son might only enjoy eating that meal...and thatās OK. āā And the recipe cards:

SUNDAY!
CAIT -- good job on 3-mile-walk, fresh produce, and floor PT! Yay!
Re: our Covid procedures. Our county has an indoor mask mandate unless eating or drinking. Over 95% of our cohort are fully vaccinated. Everyone entered the venue wearing a mask, but to be honest, most doffed their masks and grabbed something to drink or nibble on. On Friday night, our reunion was in a space that included a large outdoor patio, so many people spent most of the evening outside. Last night, we didn't have an outdoor space, but our venue was large and had recently had an upgrade to the ventilation system, so most people un-masked. The mask mandate is set to expire on 9/30, and our numbers have been improving.
I'm getting ready to head to the pool, so I'll go ahead and add those 2 miles now.

Good Morning!!
I added 7 miles over the weekend. Not the best weekend for eating and broke my tracking streak.
We had a very nice time at his daughter's home for her end of the summer party.
Cait: Great weekended for you. Good job on the walking and PT exercises.
Carol: Glad the reunion was a success. Great job on your pool workout. Hope your numbers do go up after the masking stops. Ours did in PA but we do not have anywhere near your vaccination rate. They do require in Medical facilities and schools. I have started wearing mine in the stores again.
Waving to all. Happy Walking!!
