Good Morning Challengers
Yesterday I did all 6 of my main HHs, stayed in my đź’š zone of pts.
My “KISS” HHs (Keep it Simple and Specific) - Avoid salted snacks: 💚 - JGTB: 💚
1 microhabit: - “No seconds with snack”: 💚
Yesterday we walked 3.5 mi to breakfast. Later we walked .5 mi to pick up a pizza for DH’s lunch. I had the other half of my Saturday takeout. So 4 mi for the day. It was a good week with 18.4 mi.
We had a nice long phone chat with DHs Sis in NJ. We hadn’t talked since March!
It was cool here in low 70’s and overcast so no patio time yesterday, but it was fine for eating outdoors at our breakfast place.
Beck tip of the day: Monday Motivation: Even professional tennis players miss balls. You don’t have to be “perfect” on your eating plan (because no one is perfect!) to achieve your goals. You CAN and WILL make mistakes, but just pick up the very next ball and get right back in the game.

hi all I am enjoying meals on wheels. I eat 6 vans whole grain waffles and 3/4 cup of maple syrup with my meal each day. today I had spaghetti and meat sauce. tomorrow beef stroganoff with noodles .honey glazed carrots warm spinach pears and a small piece of Carl's cake. Vanessa mic are worker is coming 8 to 10am wf and every other Saturday. Bobbie comes tomorrow. Both Bobby and Vanessa put my total gym together. I am getting a DVD player Wednesday to play the dvd to see how I do it. I really want to strenghten my muscles and need. physical therapist to help me I find that I am enjoying life but my knees hurt. I get injection s to build cartilage in each knee October 7. Sam the physical therapist I want to come to my home to work with the fitness nation bike and total gym. I paid off both. I am getting 3 more pill double boxes so Scott and a worker and I can put the medication for a week in. I have 2 days know. It is a double day. I take medication 5 days a week so I need 8 days filled a week. the extra 3 come Wednesday. I don't yet know what my rent will be in December. I am going to be okay because my trust can put 12 months rent in Stable starting this December. And I can use there taxi account to go to medical appointments and show that isn't going to raise my rent as April will give me a statement each year. I shop Wednesday with Scott and Vanessa. One the weekend I WILL EAT 12 WFFLES AND 1.5 CUPS OF SUGAR FREE MAPLE SYRUP. I don't get meals on wheels on weekends or holidays. I have told them I cant eat pork , mushroomsor red green or yellow peppers or mayonnaise,. I got a doctors note. The doctorfaxed me a statement that I faxed to meals on wheels. They will take the mushrooms out tomorrow. I eat breakfast 2 waffles in the morning with 1.4 cup syrup before I eat at 11 with meals on wheels.my ombudsman came back from vacation and read the Judges decision. She called me and I thanked her for helping me to get meals on wheels.

Yesterday we walked 2.1 mi before breakfast.
Went to the dentist for cleaning and did some errands.
Beck tip of the day: Tuesday Reality Check: When you impulsively eat standing up, you’re telling yourself that it doesn’t really matter and that there won’t be any consequences – but there always are because you’re strengthening your giving-in muscle. Besides, even if you’re “only” eating vegetables standing up today, tomorrow it might be chocolate. Â
This Beck tip is a good reminder for me since I ate standing up last night - “seconds” of fruit that turned into thirds and fourths - a “better than” choice than salted snacks, but JGTB instead would be much “better than”! I did finally JGTB before my 11 pm deadline. Baby step progress, not perfection.
AMY - Glad you’re enjoying MOW. Glad you have the help from so many people and your family.
KELLY - GFY OP. Your 2 mi walk outside sounds lovely. Our Fall in SoCal is not as colorful. We usually have some nice Fall color up North.

I am going back to vegetarian meals Thursday. I go to weigh in at WW Friday I am bring a coupon to pay since I did not go in September. I am goin to call Weight Watchers to tell them not to charge me Friday because I am bringi9ng a coupon to the workshop. But I will stay Saturday and weighing and gp in a taxi roundtrip because I HVE A WORKER COMING AT 8an Friday I am leaving 750am . I will tell her tomorrow when we go shop[ing I will e coming back right away Friday. I hope theydont charge me I can't afford that.

Scott is going with me and Vanessa tomorrow. he will get the cart or something to bring up the groceries the we get home. I am being called Thursday by a clients right examiner to tell her I want unperson meeting my community support program. Because they say I am independent and that is not so.. They Cantrell o9n a 5 minute cll that Iam okay. This is because I have medication from Vs.

Beck tip of the day: Wednesday Sabotage: I don’t want to stick to my restaurant plan right now; I’m too hungry. Response: Even if I think I’m really hungry and won’t be satisfied, that’s not true! I’m always satisfied when I leave a restaurant.

Beck tip of the day: Thursday Think Tip: For most people, all-or-nothing simply doesn’t work. When people are all-or-nothing about their eating plan – believing they are either totally perfect or totally off of it – it makes it much more likely that one mistake will spiral into more. When they are all-or-nothing about food – believing that there are some foods they should cut out entirely when they’re “being good” – it makes it much more likely that once they start eating a “bad” food, they won’t be able to stop, because they’ll have the thought, “I don’t know when I’ll allow myself to eat this food again, so I better eat as much of it as I can right now.”Â
I did my end of month WI at WW this am and my weight was down 3.4 lbs from last month to 145.2. It’s interesting to see what a month of being mostly OP can do. I’d like to see where my weight ends up stabilizing if I can stay OP one day at a time, “For Life,” in more ways than one.

THURSDAY! Bye-bye September!
Just checking in quickly to finish our September. Hard to believe!
AMY -- I'm glad the Meals-on-Wheels is working out for you!
CAIT -- Good job with your HHs and successful WI and walking!
KELLY -- The Health Department extended our county's indoor mask mandate for another month (ending just before Halloween, maybe), and we are diligent about wearing ours when we are indoors unless we are seated and eating. Good job continuing to walk even though you are busy!
I had more beans to can today! I'm pulling those plants out of the ground and "gifting" them to the compost! Oh, we got our flu shots yesterday, and I just made an appointment to get my Covid booster next week. Then, hopefully, I'll be all caught up!
I have been to water class 3x this week, and I have stretched twice.
242/250 miles--SO CLOSE! 78/75 stretching -- GOAL MET! Stretching: 2018:141;2019:192; 2020:182 2021: Jan.15; February:13; March16; April:17; May:16; June:16; July:14; Aug:17; Sept:15

AMY - I hope you get the services you need. Glad the MOW meals will be acceptable. I hope the WW situation works out.
CAROL - GFY water class 3 x and stretching twice. Wow you did a great job on the miles despite the back problems! We need to get our flu shots. No boosters for Moderna as yet.
KELLY - Great work with 3 mi per day Tues and Wed! Have a great weekend!
