How into technology are you?

I struggle with technology and resist it although I do have to admit that some of the things we now do are amazing, like my online support groups. I use computers, and have a cell phone. We have a smart TV but all I can do is change from one service to another, none of the maintenance and download business.

How into technology are you? * I can maintain my phone and tablet and usually don't have to ask for help. My youngest son went to Devry Technology, after he graduated he bought me a refurbished computer, told me not to go to class to learn how to use it, just get on and use the computer because he'd help me fix it if it broke, that's how I learned to use and maintain my computer!βΊοΈ

I do my best. If I can't do whatever needs to be done, my daughter will often walk me through it on WhatsApp or Skype. I can usually fix things especially after pandemic mode set in! Phone, computer, no TV and haven't watched video for a LONG time.

Wish I was more competent. I blame being childfree! We have to rope in young friends to help.

lani, Yes, I agree. Would be nice if we had a few young relatives around.

bbbearsmom, also I quit the workforce in 1996 when email was just becoming a thing, so I missed out on a lot of workplace tech know-how that others picked up.

lani, I quit the workforce in 1991 so I also missed out on a lot of what was going on with computers.

I'm fairly okay. It helps to have a husband who is a software engineer and electronics geek in the house.
