This thread was started before the dawn of time by Amazons who needed to compare their stats with other Amazons. Over time it grew into a community of incredible women who try to keep their spirits in the clouds and their feet on the ground, moving toward health. Most of us start at 5'7 and go up from there, from young singles to wise and lively elders of the tribe. We welcome newcomers who are willing to be kind and share a bit of their lives.

Good Afternoon Cats! How are you all today? I did my yoga class today. Which was nice. I suggested a walk with my GF and we are going at 4, but I totally forgot about scheduling TM time in. I'm so busy....doing nothing! Anyhow, I'm off to clean some bedrooms and listen to NPR. Hope you are all having a good day.
I'm looking forward to BLUE DOT RECAPS for week #3. Remember starting today is the beginning of week #4 with a WEIGH IN next Saturday! The results shall be revealed!!
I'll pop in again tomorrow.

Waving HI to all~
After a bad couple nights sleep, was dragging this morning. Skipped WW mtg altogether. Partly, because my leader texted me to say she was no longer working ww and the other was I didn't feel like it.
Mom was moved, as of 8pm last night, into a new care facility. I talked with her for a bit this afternoon. All of the changes are hard. I'll call her in a couple days.
I'll have to go thru my tracker journal to see how many blue dots I have. I doubt it will be a repeat of last week.

Quick hello to all. I'm just passing through. It's a very busy weekend. I am super tired, counting down to the end of the academic year! Martha, I'm so sorry your mom is not doing well. Hugs. Sheesh, Frieda. What an A. Probably trying to avoid paying the advisor through whom he is required to go. Enjoy your yoga time.

Hello my CAT friends! All quiet here on the Western front. Just got back from the grocery. I did do a yoga class this am at 8. About to head down to TM when I'm done checking in.
I'm really enjoying the yoga classes. Oh, the meditation class was interesting. We just meditated for an hour, split into two segments. For someone who is always running and thinking, it was difficult to stop. Overall, same reason I like yoga is I am forced to slow down, and chill for an hour. The second segment we used a mantra which helped bring me more focus. I would breathe in "I AM" and exhale "STRONG". I do need some more power words. I'm sort of stuck on the word strong.
They had a cookbook sale at my WW center and I bought one that had appealed to me last week. Several new recipes to try and I made a long list of things to make. Tonight will be bacon and swiss quiche. (made with phyllo). I bought myself an Emile Henry pie plate, because I needed one, and I'm tired of using crappy or no baking dishes.
It is glorious here! Finally the sun is out.
Looking forward to my other fellow BLUE DOTTERS for week #3 results. I won't actually need a weigh in until the FINAL weigh in next week. Just get me the number of blues dots. I need BD reports from Susan, T, Andrea and Shari. I have all your text numbers except Andrea.
So, as a reminder, we are on the 2nd day of our final pursuit of the finish line. Remember we are all winners, and the goal is to lose weight right? I thought that by focusing on the blue dots it would help with the pounds. BUT, as someone just texted me today, "This challenge is helping me realize I am eating a lot." I see it as a good thing. Maybe you aren't tracking and watching the BD's helps with that--it sure has helped me in getting me to track. OR the challenge has helped curb a possible gain. Take what you can and learn from this past month.

Grabbing the computer while DH is off.
Feeling much better this morning. I think my taking it easy yesterday and sleeping in this morning helped.
Finished the book studying that needed to be done for class. Will have DH help me with the clinical part - blood pressure, pulse. I borrowed a bp cuff & stethoscope from class.
No blue dots for me this wkend. I think wkends are harder as we are out of the regular routine.
Dinner tonight is freezer leftover Beef & bean chili with fresh cornbread. Think I'll eat only half a piece of cornbread.
