This week I take credit for getting to an in-person WW meeting, tracking, weighing and measuring, keeping the right food in the house, keeping up with my online support groups, exercising, and meditating. Grateful that my husband and I are still healthy.

Credit for weighing in at a WW center for September. Credit for being assertive with that center - not the one I usually go to - when they said I was required to have my etools account linked to WW and I said I didn't want to do that and it's not necessary, and then after some back and forth with them arguing with me about why it was necessary and me explaining why it's not, they were able to successfully enter my weight below goal, and then after addressing their accusation about how I could possibly have free etoools until July 2027 I was done and went on my way to work. Also credit for exercising 2/7 days.

susan092907, They should have known why you had e-tools that far out. They must be new since the voucher program ended. I would have been done too.

bbbearsmom, The leader has been around for a long time, I think. The receptionist may be new, though I'm not sure and she was the one who was asking, but the leader didn't say anything. I hadn't planned to stay for the meeting anyway - I had to go to work and just wanted to get my weigh-in done - and I haven't stayed for a meeting since pre-Covid shut down anyway. It did bother me for the rest of the day, and probably the next day too. I'd like to think I won't go back to that center again but it is more convenient than the other one I go to when I want to stop in for a monthly weigh-in on my way to work. I'm very grateful that I still have not only one, but a choice of centers to go to. But it sure doesn't sit well with me that I've been a WW customer for so many many years, and that I earned that free etools account, yet I had to start my work day (or any day for that matter) arguing with a WW leader and guide.

Have you accepted that you are a thinner person now?

Yes, I accept that I'm a thinner person now (lost 80 pounds) up to a point. I will sometimes look at thin/slender people and think they are "really" thin, I guess with me thinking I'm imitation thin, or I'll assume they are naturally thin and eat better than I do. The other day I caught my reflection in one of our sliding glass doors and thought: I really am small. I don't usually think of myself as small.

with me thinking I'm imitation thin, I think that way sometimes, too. So weird. Mostly I think of myself as a thin person, but sometimes - probably a lot - I think I'm not thin enough. I'm petite - only 5 ft 0 in. tall, and I often think that my overall appearance is not thin enough for my overall small size.

Wednesday, 09/22 Does the change of season affect your eating?

The change of season affects my eating. In the fall and winter I start to crave carbs more with it getting bad by January. I feel the change going into spring and summer, crave less carbs. I use to crave chocolate over the fall and winter and lose the craving in spring and summer. Now I don't crave chocolate anymore.

Thursday, 09/23 What foods/dishes do you look forward to in fall?

Seasonal eating - The change in seasons doesn't affect me too much except for fruits and vegetables. Growing up, lots of fruits and vegetables were very seasonal - stone fruits in the summer, apples in the fall, tomatoes in the summer, oranges in the winter for example. These days I still follow these seasonal changes, though a variety of fruits and vegetables are available year round now. Somehow I think that out of season fruits and vegetable are not as good, though that may or may not be true, and I usually don't buy them.
Food for the fall - apples - yay!. Also I'm more ready to have cooked meals - I'm reluctant to turn my oven on much, or cook over a hot stove, in the summer even though my house is well air-conditioned.
