GOOD MORNING!! Love, light, blessings, and good health.
I hope everyone is well. Carol is exploring a new trail. Jan is enjoying the wildlife in her yard. Sally is swimming in a salt water pool. Nat, hopefully, is working less.
Yes I did: Home abs. Treat myself to a long gorgeous walk. Weights at the gym. Law. I am finally digging into this new project. I made myself check the mail and got paid on two jobs! One of which I had written off. Last night I did some hand sewing for my friend and instead of reading my self help books designed to make me the best daughter on the planet -- I started a spooky British horror thing. It is called, "After Me Comes the Flood". I also bought way too many used cookbooks at the library used book sale yesterday afternoon and of course I dug into them as well. Yes I can: home abs, hit the bank! I have already started some wash, I will hang that out. Rain predicted for the rest of the week which is not good -- several days of outdoor events are predicted.
I will do home abs, hang out wash. Hit the bank! (hope that late check clears) Ooodles of law. Tonight: survive my toughest class (weights/toning) and reward myself with a swim. Self help book not horror. Or maybe both.
Love, light, blessings, and good health, janet

Hi Janet and Canners! Your day sounds full Janet! Are you working as much as you would like? It is a picture perfect day and same for the next week- both metro DC and at the Rehobeth Del beach. I am struggling with impulsive food choices and choosing the wrong options too often. I know they serve no purpose and are not really satisfying, maybe this counts as "off the rails"? Thinking about what I am seeking... I am looking forward to some days away- I know carol will be tracking my step totals:) what do you all have planned for this week? sending Monday strength to all-

Happy Turning the Page Monday.
Janet: Hello my name is Jan and I am a...Cookbook addict! I read them like a juicy novel, belong to Cooks Illustrated, Food Network etc etc... I am a foodie and a cook. No wonder I am diet challenged. You relate? I did find the perfect muffin frittata recipe for breakfasts. Make ahead, reheat in micro and my Sweetie, who doesn't love eggs like I do, thinks they are very good. Good for you protecting yourself with N95 mask. I can relate to exploding pants. HAHA. Back to Frugal Fat Farm soon.
Sally: Hope you are enjoying that brief get-away and salt water pool and Nora. Sending love to both you and Janet for dealing with family aging issues. Please give yourselves an extra dose of self-care now.
Nat: Surrounding you with light as you travel and navigate coming back to work.
Carol: After a few days of no bunny sightings, and worrying SweePea might be coyote or hawk food, I had a little visitor at the bunny dish yesterday morning. It's getting bigger, used to be tiny. Happy Monday to you.
Woke up this morning to some strange stuff dripping off the eaves...yes it was honest to goodness rain. Not a lot but more than the day we had thunder and lightning. So we are getting all our errands done today in preparation for my SIL's arrival tomorrow from San Francisco area. Dinners to plan and I have to make a whole bunch of cookies for a funeral of my Sweetie's Cousin's son who died of Covid. I won't be attending as it is not outside. With our usual sunny, weather how crazy is that? Will send cookies and prayers for the 2 children who are now fatherless.
Quote of the Day: "With food, you're very often wearing your pain"--Bob Greene
I don't know about pain, but I'm wearing an extra layer of stress on my hips and waist these days!

Good Morning!!! Love, light, blessings, and good health.
Sally thank you for asking. Right now I have more work than I like and am struggling with the hugely difficult decision to say no and potentially lose clients that I will really need later. Sending you "on the rails" energy.
Jan you sound terrific!! Great news. I also read cookbooks like books of poetry. Very calming but sometimes when I read them right before bed (when I read) they make me hungry. Happy to hear about rain and bunnies. Rain is predicted here -- unfortunately when so many huge outdoor events are set in the area in the next week. Very, very sad about the funeral. Difficult to understand why there are still folks that can be vaccinated but choose not be.
Yes I did: home abs, chores, toughest weight class, swim, walking breaks. Also found time for a lot of law in there. I realized last night that in the past year there have been three deaths on my street. I live on a tiny cul de sac with only four houses. I do not know that any of them were covid related and know for a fact that one was not except that the isolation has been horrible. Yes I can: home abs. Chores and law. Healthy shopping, deep breath -- OP-ness starts at the supermarket. My friend is pre-diabetic and I got a book at the library re-sale shop last night on diabetes. I need to ignore it when he asks me to fix him beef. I did not know that it was contraindicated for diabetes, did Y'all know that? Healthy whole grains are good in moderation. Moderation being the important word. Also exercise is very important. Lots of law. Tonight: weight class and swimming. I learned from the diabetes book that my diet, exercise, and lifestyle would be good for a diabetic person. Good information to have as there is so much of it in my family. Guess I could start with chores, mail, home abs . . . love, light, blessings, and good health, janet

Good Tuesday noon, positive peeps 🐣🐥!
Sally - hope you enjoy your relaxing time!
Nat - waving and sending a gentle breeze your way!
Janet - yay for healthy shopping and meal prep and thoughtfulness for needs of your friend. In general, everything I've read suggests plant based diet is healthier for nearly everyone. I did read something from Harvard School of Public Health that says the way meats are prepared can affect health as well. High heat methods (grilling, etc.) seem to be linked to increased risk of type II diabetes.
Jan - sad about sweetie's cousin. Glad you are making a good choice.
Yes I DID: --mostly enjoy my cello ensemble yesterday, though I was tired and had a lot of trouble sight-reading. I checked on Old House afterwards and encouraged lawn guy to actually finish lawn mowing and the little painting job I had prepaid for (I had to give him gas money for the mower....etc) --grueling grocery shopping run to 3 places...I guess I was just tired all day. May consider changing my shopping day as my Mondays are too busy now with all the driving back and forth. --finish getting my steps indoors, watching videos. Sunset is way too early now!
I slept well & just did another Gentle Stretching session after my Cardio Mix zoom this a.m. and I feel really good! The sun is shining and it's cool today, a good day for a nice long walk.
Be well! Carol

Good Morning!! Love, light, blessings, and good health.
Carol thanks for the pointer about grilling. I did not know it but I didn't look at entire book just stuff in bold. It sounds like you had a good and productive day. Gentle stretching and a nice long walk sound just lovely.
Yes I did: Get way too little law done. Way too little. But cooking, shopping, chores. An impromptu neighborhood meeting about the deaths on the cul de sac. Very sad. Then a toning class and a swim. Rain last night! Today being productive is my number one goal. Productive in my biz not my chores. My abs are sore enough that I am giving them a rest today. So law and walking breaks. Tonight spinning class and weather permitting outdoor concert. It will be lightly attended due to weather if it happens. Easy to distance that way but a disappointment to the parks department that puts it on. Yes I can: be productive!! Lots of law!! love, light, blessings, and good health, janet

Good Wednesday noon,positive peeps 🐥🐥!
Janet - yay for being productive anywhere, LOL. Hope you enjoy the concert.
Yes I DID: —enjoy a long walk at two adjacent nature preserves yesterday, saw many happy dogs walking their people. Lots of chipmunks 🐿. Robins frolicking in the creek. —chiropractic & eye exam appointments this morning. Eyes dilated so of course it’s a very bright sunny 😎 day, LOL! Sweetie is doing the driving today. —check on Old House. Lawn guy did a fine job on the front lawn but has not done the backyard (has had 5 days to do so since I gave him $ for gas....). Sigh...
Yes I can: —relax a bit. Already indulged in a diner breakfast to soothe myself, oh well. Will practice 🎻 once eyes are normal again. Can’t quite read those tiny notes yet.
Be well! Carol

Happy Wednesday. Oops! I lost a day...very good to see my SIL and had lots of catching up to do. Cooked bacon (that evil meat) in the air fryer this morning and it turned out great. Glad not to have the stove all greasy now, easy to clean fryer. Just finished a batch of homemade red pepper hummus for my friend who is coming for a walk and a chat tomorrow. Not much going on today, just a few errands and finish my library book that I hope to get back tomorrow afternoon. Janet and Carol Compared to your schedules I am a sloth! My energy is just not there right now, but it's ok. Sally: Always know that peace is being sent in your direction. Find some avenues to relieve the stress and then share them with us. I usually just go out and garden or do a jigsaw, cook a new recipe (can be a healthy one), read a trashy novel, talk or text with friends. And I am never too busy to hear from you! Nat: Sending Aloha spirit. I know you are doing what you need right now. Thought for the Day: Fear and worry are interest paid in advance on something you may never own. (Don't remember author) Jan

Good Morning!!! Love light blessings and good health
Nat is in Hawaii? How cool is that, enjoy, enjoy, enjoy.
Carol, my experience with lawn guys are the reason I do my own yard. Sorry to hear about that. A long walk at the nature preserves and wildlife viewing sounds nice.
Jan, I love the thought for the day. It helped me when I was recovering from my surgery to realize that resting is doing something.
Yes I did: not enough law but more than what I have been doing. Hope to have a really productive day today and will then try to take some time off. I am really stressed and not sleeping enough or hardly at all. I did get an extension on a couple of deadlines and hope that helps. I have been making myself take walking breaks. Last night was spinning class and an outdoor concert. Concert was good but had a hard time turning off my "law brain". Yes I can: abs, walking breaks, weights, and some cardio tonight. Lots of law. I have started a load of sheets, chance of rain is less today than it will be later, fingers crossed they dry.
Love, light, blessings, and good health, janet

Good Thursday noon, positive peeps 🐣🐥🐣🐥!
Yes I did: —nice neighborhood walk late afternoon yesterday, beautiful sky: deep gray clouds in distance and low sun behind me 🌤 —Cardio Mix zoom and a Gentle Stretching zoom, my new routine for Tues & Thur a.m. —practice quite a bit, getting ready for lesson today (committed to improving so I keep up with the ensemble, LOL!)
Yes I can: —stay focused and joyful as the day unfolds
Be well! Carol

Happy Thursday Evening.
Yes, I did... --walk today for the first time in a long time. --have a nice healing chat with my artist pal. --have a neighbor bring me peaches from her tree. In exchange I gave her passion fruits from my garden. A win-win! No bunny sightings...sigh. Lots of doves and other birds.
Back Manana. Sweet dreams.

Good Morning!! love, light, blessings, and good health.
I hope both Sally and Nat are swimming in salt water!
Carol joyful walks with a beautiful sky. Lovely. Gentle stretching sounds so nice.
Jan healing walks, healing peaches, healing chats. God is good.
Yes I did: walks, home abs, toning class/rowing machine. Law. Rain here. Needed but the outdoor festival I was going to attend appears to have been cancelled. Other outdoor festivals not cancelled yet. But outdoor chalk drawing not an option in the rain. Perhaps other activities might still happen. Yes I can: this morning: abs, administrative work in my biz, spinning class, swimming (unless lightening which would close the pool). Law this afternoon. Love, light, blessings, and good health, janet

Good Friday noon, positive peeps 🐣🐣!
Jan - yay for walks with pals! I haven’t connected much with my pals lately, miss our hikes from seems like long, long ago!
Janet - enjoy your activities, sending 🌈 rainbows
Sally - your beach view looks awesome! Enjoy!
Yes I did : —check on Old House twice, because I accidentally left my phone there! —have a good 🎻 lesson —attend my 2 Tap classes this a.m., 1st (easy) was great, 2nd I was yucky. Maybe too tired. Oh well. Practice is good.
Yes I can: —get some chores done today, get outside for a walk later
Be well! Carol

Good Morning!! Love, light, blessings, and good health.
Carol I hate leaving my phone behind -- I am so glad you found it! I am glad you got chores done and got to tap dance. I hope you got in a nice walk.
Yes I did: abs, spin, swim, many walking breaks as it cleared up. It ended up being a gorgeous day so the event was cancelled for nothing creating many problems. I did get some work done. I hit one of the outdoor concerts/festivals when the day ended nice (it was close to the library). It was nice. I left while it was getting dark. My eating continues to be OP. Today I will do home abs, gym, library to work early while I can still find a spot to park. This afternoon -- walk and swim. Tonight Mass and then we will just see. Step one -- get dressed! I got new bathing suits in the mail yesterday -- I will try to those on. That definitely will inspire me to do FFF! My AP are creeping up. I might not look like Cristy Brinkley in a bathing suit but hopefully all those AP will help me sleep better.
Love, light, blessings, and good health, janet
