We are walkers, joggers, bicyclists, and some do other exercise. We set goals and keep track by miles. You can set your goal for any amount, count your miles any way you wish. The goal is consistency with exercise.
We started Jan. 20, 2003 on the WW Challenge Central Board as "250 Miles by June 1" & we've done 44 five-month walking challenges, including the one we finished Oct 1. You can find us on wwmessageboard.freeforums.net at wwmessageboard.freeforums.net/board/12/challenges
The group challenge is to average about 2 miles a day, 13 miles a week, or 50 miles a month; if you do it, in 5 months you will have walked 250 miles, and if you have stuck with the challenge and a healthy eating program for that 5 months, you will see wonderful changes in your health, fitness, and size!
Some people will finish well before the target date and will go for more or another 250 miles, but others will go at a slower pace, and new members will join along the way, so each member is welcome to set her/his own personal goal and target date. The new group challenge which started Oct 1, 2021, is "250 Miles by March 1, 2022."
You are welcome to join us at any time.

Good Morning Dimers
Yesterday I did all 6 of my main HHs, stayed in my 💚 zone of pts.
My “KISS” HHs (Keep it Simple and Specific) - Avoid salted snacks: 💚 - JGTB: 💚
1 microhabit: - “No seconds with snack”: 💚
Yesterday we walked 2.1 mi before breakfast. I finished the challenge with 331 miles - my best in a while, I think. Also finished Sept with 73.5 mi - a good number for me.
Beck tip of the day: Friday Weekend Warm-up: Reaching our goals does entail turning down some food some of the time, but not all food all the time! This weekend, focus on the food that you WILL be eating, not on the food you won’t.
KELLY - Thanks for the start! I forgot this was the end of the previous challenge! GFY with the 3 mi and OP. Hope your visit with Sis is a nice one. 💕🙏 Yay for your booster shot today. No boosters yet for Moderna. Yes I had a good month of Sept - so grateful. One day at a time.
AMY - Sorry to hear about your trip and the foot hurting. I hope it’s not serious, and RICE (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation) helps.
Be well and take care, for ourselves, and for each other.

TGIFRIDAY! A new challenge! Thanks for getting us started, KELLY! KELLY -- good job walking and staying OP. I hope you have a nice visit with your sis. AMY -- gosh! I'm sorry you tripped and that your foot hurts. Take it easy! CAIT -- you had a super month and great challenge total! WTG! I went to water class this morning (2). I stretched some in the water, and I just finished a 20-minute "standing stretch." I'm trying to find a few that I like before we leave on our trip. This was a pretty good one, and of course YouTube had other suggestions for me 2/250 miles 1/75 stretching Stretching: 2018:141;2019:192; 2020:182 2021: Jan.15; February:13; March16; April:17; May:16; June:16; July:14; Aug:17; Sept:15; Oct: 1/31

CAROL - a WW person who travels frequently posts on WW Connect about her travel kit - it includes a yoga/exercise mat. GFY with the water exercise and stretching and trying out new video options. I’ve forgotten when your next trip is and where - Yellowstone?

This am I attended my WW Virtual workshop and enjoyed it. I even stayed for the “breakout room” small group and enjoyed that too. Topic was getting support from those around you - pointing out that “our environment” is more than the food in the house and the other things we set up to support our goals - it includes the people we spend time with. I’m fortunate to have DH. He makes our walk a priority and does so much - most of the shopping and dinners. Checking in with Dimers and 250 miles group is a big help, and I enjoy the posts on WW Connect..
Be well and take care, for ourselves, and for each other.

SATURDAY!
CAIT -- GFY with your HHs and morning walk! Fred also does most of the shopping and dinners; he got in the habit after he retired and I was still working. He stepped it up during Covid, so now I really depend on him! One problem is that he is rail-thin! When he dishes up dinner, he tries very hard to split things evenly, even though I've asked him not to! Anyway, in the end I know it's my responsibility not to put so much in my mouth.
Our next trip is to the beach! We're driving, and my sister & BIL are flying. We'll spend several days in a condo on the beach, near our older sister. We'll see not only our older sister but also 3 of her children. I'll get to meet a couple more great-nieces, as a bonus!
I've often thought about taking my yoga mat, but it's just unwieldy. I almost always take the strap, and I sometimes take the stretchy bands, too. I just need to find a couple of videos I can switch between.
I walked 2 miles today with my poles, and I just finished stretching. That really helps!

Yesterday we walked 2.7 mi after breakfast, got some fruit and veg at the Farmers Market at the park, and picked up takeout lunch. Before dinner we walked another 1 mi to the Neighborhood Assn block party, for 3.7 mi for the day.
I forgot to mention that Friday I did my floor PT exercises for 21 mins. The week was so busy with work that I never made time to do them until Friday before dinner. Planning to do the other 20 mins or so today so I have one full set for the week.
CAROL - Where’s the beach for Nebraska?!? 😂 It sounds like fun. I get it - my DH also tries to make everything equal size servings, but I dish out my serving from the big dish and leave more for him. 😄 GFY with the walk and stretching. I noticed the twinges in my knee lessened after doing my floor PT Friday, which includes stretching.
AMY - I think all the WW studios have fewer workshops and many have closed since covid. I enjoy the virtual workshops more anyway. I track and record my weight in the app. I do try to go to the studio to weigh once a month when we are here in SoCal where they have lots of studios, but reduced hours. Re Moderna booster - I read that a woman who has suppressed immune system due to cancer treatment got a 3rd Moderna shot as a booster. I guess it was just the same as the first two. I think this was recommended by her Dr.
Be well and take care, for ourselves, and for each other.
