Good Morning Challengers
Yesterday I did all 6 of my main HHs, stayed in my 💚 zone of pts.

Yesterday we walked 3.5 mi to breakfast and picked up takeout lunch for the family. We had such a nice time out on the patio.
Beck Tip of the day: Monday Motivation: To our friends up North: Happy Canadian Thanksgiving! If you’re celebrating today, think about how you want to feel when you go to bed tonight (pleasantly full and satisfied? Overly full and bloated?) Then, make a plan based on that!
My bro had a positive home antigen Covid test but he’s vaccinated and so far just really bad sinus congestion and bad cough. 🙏
KELLY - Great 8 mi this weekend! Oh those event goodies can be hard to pass up. At least they’re not in the house, one and done, enjoyed them and moved on.
CAROL - GFY going to water class and at least doing some stretching Unfortunately DD1 and fam will probably be moving a little farther away. Not a lot farther though, if they get the one they made an offer on. It takes about a half hour to get there. DD2 is about 45 mins away. But DH’s DDs are in PA so we’re fortunate to have the others here. Also my Bro & SIL and all 3 of his kids and his 7 grands - if we can ever get back together…..

Hi Cait. I aM SORRY YOUR BROTHER HAS BREAKTHROUGH SYSTEMS. I want the Moderna booster when it is approved hopefully this week or next. I have a list to a pc October 29 a welcome visit. I hope I get that vaccine then. I got a microwave rice cooker to cook brown rice. I put in 2 3/4 cups rice and 5.5 cups of water and it came out perfectly in 222 minutes. The brown rice was in expensive. I am eating it with frozen peas. Today I had spaghetti with mjetballs for meals on wheels with cooked broccoli. Tomorrow I have parmesan tilapia.sugar snap peas banana whole wheat bread cookie.

Yesterday we walked 2.1 mi before breakfast.
We’ve had wind advisories and gale warnings off the coast. The beach looks like it’s been brushed with a fine bristle broom. Very clear today on our walk.
My bro sounded better yesterday in his text msg - a little humor returning. His DW who is a nurse says if he’s stable or better today she thinks he’ll be OK.
DH and I have had our high dose flu shots. He had a sore arm but I didn’t. If a Moderna booster is approved and we’re eligible we will get it.
Beck Tip of the day: Tuesday Reality Check: You don’t “cure” emotional eating by removing all comfort foods. You do it by learning to comfort yourself without food. What are some ways you comfort yourself that don’t involve eating?
KELLY - Hope your DH can get that booster. GFY with the good Monday and 2 mi.
AMY - Sounds like you’re happy with the MOW and your own cooking. Getting to a stable healthy eating routine has been so helpful for me.

Yesterday we walked 2.1 mi before breakfast. Last night I had seconds” with snack but kept it to fruit, so “better than.”
My bro is recovering and making jokes in text so I know he’s better. It’s a big relief. He had very stuffy head congestion, headache and bad cough but much less now. Fully vaccinated and not sure how he got exposed.
Beck Tip of the day: Wednesday Sabotage: I can still eat like I used to and look the way I used to. Response: What’s the evidence for that? In the past, factors were likely different. I was younger, had more time to exercise, didn’t have kids, etc. I have to accept that now circumstances have changed and if I want results, I have to do things differently.
KELLY - GFY OP and 2 mi. Thanks for the encouragement. I’m trying to make it my new normal, and really feel good doing it consistently. Grateful. 🙏

Beck Tip of the day: Thursday Think Tip: If “healthy” eating feels very depriving to you, it may be that you actually ARE depriving yourself! If you think that being on track means never having desserts/carbs/alcohol, remember that being all-or-nothing about these things helps with weight loss but doesn’t help with long-term maintenance. Push back against your restrictive thinking and start figuring out where and when these foods have a place.

I did my floor PT exercises 23 mins. We had friends over for dinner last night. I made hummus and guacamole, and cut vegs, and put out chips to dip. For dessert I made fruit salad and bought an assortment of super rich pastries at a bakery. They enjoyed the pastries, and I and the other woman enjoyed the fruit salad. Amazingly and gratefully I haven’t had an urge to eat the chips or the pastries. This am I attended my WW Virtual meeting - the topic for the week is added sugar and techniques for reducing sugars.
