This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
All are welcome here.

Good morning, Jana, happy belated Birthday!!!! Yesterday I went to a Mexican restaurant and thought of your pop with the beans and rice. I always enjoy it, but I enjoyed it extra with a smile thinking of you all. Jana, I love our fridge that has the freezer on the bottom. I am sure it is the same size as the side by side, but I feel I can access the items easier, and put in larger items too. I hope you get just the right one and SOON. Lora, that is great that Mark will have a week off in between jobs. So nice you got to Longhorn… love that place!! Congratulations on your Keto Anniversary! That really is huge! Oh goodness, glad the car battery bit worked out. That could have gone nutso real fast. Oh Lora, I am so glad you got your red car cookie jar!! How nice of Mark. Your centerpiece looks lovely!!! Susie, that is so nice that you got to chat with former colleagues. They become so special in our lives. Texas Roadhouse is DH’s favorite.. I love it too. My favorite is the pulled pork. Oh goodness, glad the power restored at your place quickly! Any longer then you’d have fridge food issues too! Congrats on the Bocce Ball win! Janet, sounds like a grand time at the exhibit and refreshments afterwards. Sounds like a lovely idea. I hope the Zoom meeting worked out alright. How nice your friend could reach the phone earlier last week, that’s encouraging. RobinMD, oh goodness, I am sorry about your tight back. It must have been awful. Awww, how fun to have your grand pup. I bet it is fun for your pittie girl too. Sounds like great Fall weather for you up there. The other day I thought of you as I was driving to work seeing the fog on the fields. I remember you writing about your pretty fog drives. I have been really tired in the evenings. My assistant is in Texas for a few weeks, and she won't be back until mid-October, so it's crazy. That means, no lunch, running all over and well... she does a ton, so it's tricky to go solo. Yesterday DH and I enjoyed our favorite Mexican restaurant on our date. I also learned to temper chocolate yesterday. I didn't even know that was a thing, lol. But I made nutella/Oreo truffles for the boys... which seemed to work out. It was fun. I'd like to try a few more chocolate ideas, then be ready to make gifts for Christmas. This morning I have a class at church, then lesson plans. It's the last week of the first quarter, so there's a lot to finish up in the gradebook too. Waving hi to all!

Good Morning Everyone...the BBQ and Bluegrass was very enjoyable yesterday evening. We got to talk with neighbors and meet some new ones. DH has met a couple of guys the last two days that he had not met before - very nice for him. Nothing planned for today so far - yippee!
Jill - thanks for starting us. I love Mexican (but then, I love everything - lol - I really do). I cannot even imagine how difficult it is without your assistant - hang in there/one step at a time. Can you believe it is the end of the first quarter already? What is tempering chocolate? I may have to google that...
Janet - glad the exhibit was so enjoyable....sounds interesting that people were lying on the floor, etc. Enjoy today because tomorrow it is back to paradise...at least the new little girl is warming up to you...that can turn out to be very special.
Waving to everyone...

Hi Everyone,
Going over soon to my sister's to work on my plan. With my sister being there tho I know its going to be hard to concentrate again though. I do better without noise. Hopefully it wont take as long this time. I mainly have to revise but since my plans were virtual last year I will have to tweak certain things most likely.
After the zoom I have some errands to do as usual. Glad that I got my food shopping done though.
I think we have a Texas Roadhouse around here. It was a buffet I believe but with the Pandemic I think they changed it somehow but I havent been there since before the Pandemic. We do have the Texas Roadhouse here. I am guessing tho that you order now like you would at Longhorns at least from I see on the menu.
That is about it. Jana, Happy Belated Birthday! I may have wished you on fb before but not sure so will wish again. I hope you get a new refigerator asap..
Susie, no plans today. Take it easy and relax..glad that the bbq and bluegrass was nice. And you met new neighbors too. I like bluegrass music.
Jill, wow, a few weeks and I was stressing over 2 days..however this boy with the Autism was quite challenging the second day when I was by myself although luckily I had the help of the foster grandmother in our room that day. She was a real angel that day. When I went to the doctor later the assistant said my pressure was up and I said I was really stressed. Its normally ok. Have a great day!!

Good morning,
Jill, I'm with Susie...I LOVE Mexican food and restaurants! I haven't been in such a long time. I would like to know about tempering chocolate. The truffles sound like a great Christmas gift. I love to make lots of different goodies at Christmas and put together gift plates. I was thinking that I might make "Bailey's Irish Cream" this year. I also can make "Kahlua" but it is best if it sits for about 6 weeks, so if I do that I'll need to get it made soon. Oh, I love my bottom freezer refrigerator, too. The only problem I ever had was when I had a little hound dog for a month who was ALWAYS looking for food. He figured out how to open that freezer drawer and would take out whatever he wanted and eat it! I only found out when he left the empty box on the floor!
Susie, I hope you have a really relaxing day in this beautiful weather today. The evening sounds like it was really fun. I just love bluegrass music, too, so it would have been extra happy!
Janet, I'm glad you enjoy the exhibit and restaurant. What a nice day! I hope you get your plans done today and have some relaxing time, too.
I am going to run to the store this morning. YDD is supposed to be here around 3 to pick up the pup. Little Duchess is going to be sad to lose her playmate...they have been going at it this morning, too. If they aren't playing, they are on the deck soaking up the sunshine! No plans for me today. I have some cleanup to do and I still need to rearrange the pool house. Everything is just thrown in there, and I have some stuff in there that I should move to the garage. Otherwise, I'm going to enjoy the beautiful day, and see where it takes me. I hope everyone has a great day. I'll bbl. Waving to all,
RobinMD

Hello again,
I hope everyone has been having a nice Sunday. YDD picked up the grand-pup, so Duchess is a little bit bummed. She is pretty tired, though, so I expect she will pass out pretty soon! I didn't end up doing much today. I did get my trip to the store out of the way for the week. That is a help, because I don't like going after work during the week. I'm scheduled to get my booster tomorrow, so I'll get that out of the way. Otherwise, I am not planning on doing a lot tomorrow, either. When I get my mower back, I will have some catching up to do!
I am going to head to bed early tonight. I didn't sleep great last night, probably because I kept worrying about the grandpup needing to go out. He forgets there is a doggy door. About the time he remembers there is one and he can go in and out, it's time for him to go home. HA! Anyway, I can use a good rest and a little sleep in. I'll be back tomorrow. Have a great start to your week, everyone!

Heading to bed soon.
Janet - hope you were able to concentrate at your DS's and got to work on your plan.
RobinMD - Glad you got to enjoy the beautiful day today. My DS made Kahlua for me one year for Christmas.
Jill - well, I read a little about tempering chocolate, but I think I would have to have someone show me...it seemed a little tricky to get it just right. If you have a link or something that really explained it, please share.
Night all...
