Good morning WW friends. Slept well and grateful. Last night we were able to sit in the screen room and enjoy your glass of Chianti. Felt so good to be out there. I know those days are numbered. We'll take advantage while we can.
Need to finish my online chores...Will CBL

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Sunday! We woke to warm temps (high 60's) and now there is a light rain falling that promises to continue until supper time when it switches to "scattered T'storms". Looks like I won't be walking this morning; but I did get out for a walk yesterday and it felt really good! Maybe this afternoon if it clears up?
Ann ~ So happy that you are sleeping well as that makes such a difference! I have also been sleeping well even though DH tells me I was talking a lot night before last. Glad that you got to enjoy the screen room last evening. We were able to open all the doors and windows until the sun went down and enjoy the fresh breeze blowing through the house.
We have a streak of great weather coming up, even with the scattered showers. Our highs are going to be in the low 70's and the overnight lows in the low 60's. I could absolutely KEEP this forever!!
We still don't have DH's truck back so he is driving my car, but I wasn't going anywhere anyway. I got everything done yesterday that I wanted to do. We are going out to meet DBIL for lunch later on. Hopefully then we will be picking up his truck and bringing it home as he needs it tomorrow.
BBL. Make a great day!!

Yes it surely does make or break a day...depending on how you sleep. So far, so good in the Zzz's department Sorry for your rain. We got a great hood walk in. Our community was bare so we walked and chatted among ourselves. Benjamin did his normal sniffing and marking his territory LOL. Such a character to watch! Funny you mention rain...when we were walking I can 'smell the rain' so will have to check the forecast. Hope DH gets his truck back. Enjoy lunch out with DBIL. We are now going to hit Hannaford's for mainly produce and a few odds and ends. Waving and shall try to pop in later on.

Back from Hannaford's. Unfortunately the turkeys didn't come in on time. The guy at the meat department said they are expecting them today and suggested we stop back after 5 p.m. Luckily it's just down the road from us so Carl will go back.
We scored everything else on the list.

Good morning and happy Sabbath! After a very late and disappointing LSU loss last night, I slept well, but not long enough. I managed to get to Mass on time anyway, but there is definitely a nap in my future. Breakfast was eggs scrambled with onion, sausage and cheese, grits and a slice of toasted Dave's. I am hoping that will hold me until dinner which will be bbq ribs, potato salad, cole slaw and smothered Okra and tomatoes. We had picked up boiled crabs for our dinner last night, but they were so hot with red pepper I couldn't eat them. DH likes spicy foods and tolerates the heat much better than I, but he also found them hot. Oh well! I wasn't terribly hungry anyway, so just had some toast and cheese and a sf ice cream sandwich. Yesterday I got up early and made it to the car shop before 7:30 when they supposedly opened. There were 7 people ahead of me! It was nearly 10:00 am before I got my oil change and tire rotation done. I made a quick stop at Walmart for 3 items, only to find they had no skim or even 1% milk. I found a gallon at Super1 and headed home. I worked in the garden some, pulling the dead weeds that I sprayed with weed killer a few days ago. It is a huge job and I had to keep reminding myself of the old adage about how to eat an elephant. Once I get enough of a spot cleared, I will till it and plant garlic for my sweet DH. It's also almost time to harvest our crop of sweet potatoes. And...the pecans are starting to fall. It's a good thing DH's hyperbaric tx is coming to an end. I will need lots more time at home to get all this accomplished, since I only have the stamina to work for a couple of hours at a time. It's still quite warm, with highs in the mid-80's so I have to be careful not to dehydrate. Debbie and I walked yesterday after the rain showers passed through. I carried an umbrella and was glad I did, because it started raining again at the end of our walk and I would have been quite soggy without it. We plan to walk again this evening. I was down .8 at official WI Friday, but posted gains every day since, so I need to keep moving. Ann - I know what you mean about "smelling" the rain. There's a distinct odor to incoming showers that I have noticed since childhood. I was glad to hear Jean is getting out some and spending time with good friends. How nice that you got to enjoy wine and the screened room! Sue - You have been very conscientious with your exercise, so I am sure a DOR won't matter. Hope your DH gets his ride back all fixed up. What make and model is your new vehicle? Judy - It's good that you are able to settle into a good routine in your new temporary digs. I hope your DH is able to rest up from all his labors, too, and that D & D adjust.

Hi all,
Greetings from our digs! We have been going to bed earlier and earlier since there’s not much on regular tv to watch and no real chores to do. I miss my Amazon and Netflix! I’ve been reading more than usual.
I had no adverse effects from my booster except a little tiredness and achy feeling.
We spent the day at the Cape house yesterday and delivered some wall tiles for the bath. We gave a tour to our next door neighbor, saw the builder briefly and then went to dinner at a favorite spot for clam chowder and clams. DH had swordfish. This morning we went to iHop for brunch and I think we’ll have a salad or sandwiches tonight. This place is not really conducive to cooking. But, I have deli meat and yogurts etc. cold stuff is fine and I have cereal, too. I picked up ready made chili at a local market.
Pam, sorry about your team. We’ll be watching our Patriots tonight as Tom Brady is in town. Lots of hype!
Ann, Hannafords is now our nearby store! I think of you.
Sue, keep sending this lovely weather our way!

Sue, what kind of Skechers do you like best? I need some comfy, supportive slip on shoes dressy enough for work. At the college, I can be pretty casual but not sneaker looking.

Pam kudos on having a weight loss at WW'ers. I would go if they still offered one here in town. To me it's not worth it to travel....so once my vouchers run out I guess I will keep on doing it on my own without the weight watcher app. I refuse to pay for it as I've been a weight watcher since the 60's and have more than paid my way LOL...... Like you, if I don't move I will see the scale tip up a bit. Only exercise that I do is walking. I have a gazillion exercise CD's but just don't think to put them in I guess I have a memory of convenience at times LOL. You surely DO a lot of work in the garden. I envy you as I wouldn't know where to begin. I bet fresh pecans are wonderful. LOL to knowing the 'smell of the rain'. I said that to someone the other day and they looked at me like I had two heads. Oh well....I'm happy that you are a rain sniffer as well. Now I don't feel so all alone. Judy LOL to Hannaford's being close to you. Do be sure to sign up for a 'reward member'. Once you do, all Hannaford products that you purchase you will earn 2% quarterly. All you need to do is put in your phone number at the register and it will print out on your receipt. I have the app downloaded so that once the 3 months are up, you simply add your savings to your account and it automatically comes off your bill. They also have coupons on the app and will also offer special saving coupons for those that are reward members. For instance, they will at times give you double points for a certain amount of time so you earn 4% instead of the 2 and will also take $$ off your entire bill if you spend over a certain amount. Today we saved 25.97 off our order. We especially love their produce and meats there. Also I get their frozen veggies for my soup and I also like to have can veggies on hand. Happy you didn't have any reaction to the booster or flu shot. I still am bruised around the booster shot and my arm is red where I had the flu shot and it's tender to the touch. I didn't feel it when she gave it to me, so I'm just going to wait it out and be grateful that they are both one and done. Yes lots of hype over the football game! I am really not a sports fan. Will watch it if invited to do so, but wouldn't turn it on here. Carl is also not a sport fan. He's more into cars/trucks than that. We took a truck ride with Benjamin to the Orange Airport and watched the jumpers landing. We see them here all the time but never that close up. There isn't enough $$$ on the planet to get me to do that...but fun to watch. I am NOT a daredevil at all! Going to sit and relax and read a bit. Doubt I'll get back into the cafe today so will see y'all tomorrow.

Ann - To be clear: I weigh at home daily, first thing in the morning. Fridays are "official" and what I post on the WW app, but I haven't been to a meeting since 2010.
Debbie and I walked (and sweat) but I ate my ribs and potato salad with a good conscience, lol.
I am reading Nickel Boys and hope to finish it tonight. It is very well-written, but such a sad topic! I have a much lighter book lined up for next.
Enjoy your evening!

Ann, thanks for the tip on the Hannaford’s deals. We’ll make sure to take advantage as I think there’s one near the Cape too.
We had salads tonight from Chipotle. I picked a Whole 30 one with only 450 calories. We’re going to try to be very mindful going forward. I truly hope we get into the house soon.
It really irks us that the builder won’t give us a date except to say soon. I know some things are unpredictable but we need to know more.
Watching the Patriots and hoping we win! I won’t be watching the whole game.
