Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well and having a good day Ruth - I always think about decorating too and then never do it, maybe this year we both will actually do it Ginny - I'm glad you were able to do some embroidery and enjoy a movie at the same time. I liked that movie that you watched and I saw a new one is coming out. I have loved all the Signed, Sealed, Delivered movies. Let us know if that movie is coming on that was filmed in your DD's home town - how interesting that must have been. I was able to make the squares of that Christmas Sudoku kit all from fat quarters that I had, so it was enjoyable to make. I finished up the 2 small pieces that I was making to use up extra half square triangles. One of them is just a largish block so I think I'll add it to my group of other orphan blocks. The other one is the jewel fabrics with black fabric and is a small table runner size. I think I will Big Stitch that quilt using the black Bold Hand Stitching thread I accidentally bought a few months back. I did get to some hand quilting today. I'm quilting a small heart shape into the alternating solid blocks of my nine-patch quilt. There are 24 blocks and I've finished 6 of them, so I hope to keep working on them. Take care everyone!

CJ, I bet you'll come up with a good plan to use those orphan blocks. And I'm glad to hear that you found a use for that black thread you bought by accident.
It's a beautiful fall day here. I do miss the fall colors that are back east. Almost all of our trees and bushes here just turn a gold color, no reds.
I've been working on that wrist wallet but in a different color since I left the other one downstairs and dh was sleeping. Of course I thought I could do it from memory but no, I messed up and had to go back a few rows.
Ginny, those movies you mention sound like they would be something I would like. I'll have to look them up.
One good thing about getting rid of DTV is that now we actually can get NBC on our antenna. I don't know why we couoldn't before but anyway now I can watch the Bill's game this evening while crocheting. I used to make hats while watching tv. Tonight I'll still be working on my wrist wallet probably otherwise I'll finish the hat I started last night.

Good evening. Ruth,, check out the Hallmark movies and mysteries Signed, sealed and Delivered series. Some have an overtly Christian sub plot. Yes they are romances also, but with a twist. I really enjoy them. I also like the series Chesapeake shore that CJ got me interested in. that is great that you will be able to watch the Bills game tonight. I know coming from Buffalo that you used to be fans. Hope the bills win. Yes, the fall colors here are quite something. I noticed this am that the announcements on the televisions in church all had lovely fall colored backgrounds. So pretty. We are not at peak colors here yet, but should be in a week or so. Its been cool and rainy here today….nice to be in my long pajamas and feel nice and warm.
CJ- you are making excellent progress on the hand stitching- quilting a heart shape into a 9 patch block. Sounds adorable, and I bet it looks good.it I. What a nice relaxing project to do on a cool fall day. How many more blocks did you get to hand quilt?
Got to make another ornament and the fabric cut and ironed for a few more. I struggled with which fabrics to put with each other and did want some sort of scheme so that the different fabrics can be showcased. Looking forward to getting to Joanns so I can get the buttons and the metallic thread to hand the ornaments.

Ginny, now that we don't have dtv we can't get the Hallmark Movies and Mysteries channel. I'll look and see if they have any of those movies on youtube. I know your ornaments are going to be beautiful. And what a hardship to have to go to Joann's . CJ, let me know if you decide to decorate this year and then maybe I will also I think I could use one of those quilt as you go video's that Ginny shared the link for to make a rectangle mat in Christmas fabric to go under my little Christmas tree. It's a small fiberoptic tree that has been resting for about 3 or 4 years now.
