This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
All are welcome here.

Good morning friends! I hope everybody had a good weekend.
I guess I missed posting yesterday. It was fairly quiet around here. It rained off and on all day. Today was supposed to be the same, but I can see the sun and a bit of blue peeking through the clouds, so I guess that changed. For the moment it looks like rain for Tue, Wed and Thursday though, then back to sunshine and beautiful temps. I'm hoping for aome outside time at some point today.
No real plans for the day other than doing on some laundry and doing some work in my online groups.
I need to get that first load of laundry started. Have a beautiful day, my beautiful friends. I'll BBL.

Well, it looks like FB is experiencing some widespread outages impacting both desktop and mobile app access. I guess that change some of my plans for the day. Lol.
I've completed the laundry that I had on my list - some towels and some lenins. I remembered to get DDs bday card into the mailbox. and I have a small bottom round roast in the IP for supper. I'm cooking it with broth, a little butter and a splash of liquid smoke. I'm going to shred it up for burrito bowls. DH always tops his with shredded cheese, sour cream, guacamole and jalapenos. I'm not sure yet what all I will top my bowl with. I've been "cheese free" for a little over a month now as well as cutting back on some other specific dairy products and that seems to be helping me in a few ways, so I think I'll continue on with my cheese approach for a bit longer. So I might just stick with some guacamole only on mine. I've read a couple of articles that say that for many people that cheese can light up that "addiction center" in the brain. It's not like I tend to binge eat cheese, but it does seem to drive hunger for me even when I shouldn't be hungry. Anyway, enough of my musings. I'm off to find something else to get into. Haha

Hello Everyone...went to my gym class this morning, then to walk with DD and then off to LLI for 2 history classes. Next up is "Scattergories" at the club house and this evening I have a book club meeting. Yes, today is a very busy today and tomorrow is also. The rest of the week is OK, although I just found out that I have to have a covid test on Thursday due to a colonoscopy and endoscopy I am scheduled for on Monday.
Waving to everyone...gotta run...take it easy today Lora since FB is down.

Good afternoon, Lora, yum... the roast in the IP sounds delicious, especially with avocado!! Susie, Scattergories is such a fun game. UGH... colonoscopy, necessary, but so good when it's over. The school gave us a sub. today for our assistant that is out of town. We won't have her tomorrow, but she'll be back Wed. and Thurs.... so thankful. I have an online meeting tonight, but I think I'll go watch the British Baking Show for a bit and relax. Waving hi to all!

Hi everyone,
Lora, I have to agree that the roast sounds great. The burrito bowls sound even better!
Susie, I hope you get everything done that you had planned. Quite a busy day!
Jill, I hope the meeting goes quickly!
I haven't done a whole lot this weekend, just keeping my back relaxed. It hasn't been bothering me so I think I'm good for this little spell. I did vacuum the house today....boy, it gets real dusty, real fast around here. I also got some laundry done, mostly dog beds. It was smelling a little doggy to me, so it was time. HA! Now I'm going to get stuff out of the dryer and go get something for dinner and for lunch tomorrow. It is looking a little stormy outside, but it has been mostly sunny today. I hope everyone is having a good evening, and you all have a great day tomorrow. I'll be back at some point! Waving to all,
RobinMD
