Thanks for the start, Karen. I knew the avatar was for the Giants. I was just teasing. DB became a fan when he moved to Portland and then both boys went there. Our mild jalapeños didn’t do well this year either. How is your stomach today? I find that certain combinations of food upset my stomach. Dairy with anything is particularly upsetting but I can have it alone. That is wild about the key fobs. I never would have thought it. Did you get your booster?
Linda, congratulations on the loss and the smaller size. How is your stomach today? Did Micki get his walk last night?
Kathy, the rankings in football sometimes feel subjective to me, but what do I know. Congrats on the loss.
It was a Kroger day today. Last Tuesday morning the place was empty. This morning it was busy. Both times there was only one cashier and no packer. The cashier is at least 70, sweet as pie and slow as molasses. I have been doing the packing these past couple of weeks, so I could get out of there. I also did some housework and was excited as Karen was about hers.
Liz, Becky, Denise I hope you are all well.

Kroger, called Fry's here, is always short of checkout. It tends to have more aggressive mask avoiders too. So I seldom Go there.
Stomach is off and on.
Storm in wee hours with rain back postponing Micki walk this morning, a d a storm just arrived. Micki is funny. He stands at the edge of the patio looking at the sky. I think he thinks it is an unusually low airplane because we are under a landing flight plan for Sky Harbor.
just managed to get home before the storm. Got flowers ,but they had no tomatoes again. So I went to Lowe’s and all they have is small. Sigh. Got some cleaning supplies and more landscape lights to replace the aging ones. Then off to Chinese restaurant to pick up supper and won ton soup for lunch. Finally got to vet for dog food and insulin.

With the size of the avatars, Chele, I wasn't sure it was going to be apparent that it was the Giants. My original plan was to post their team photo, but that was way too small and would have looked like more than 50 dots with a scoreboard behind them. Maybe it was just a bad year for mild jalapenos. I suspect the red one that was hot may have been a mild that went beyond where I planted it. Stomach is doing a bit better. I just need to be really careful on the food. I looked back through my food diary and nothing seems out of the ordinary, so I'm wondering if it's the IBS again but it's just a bit different this time because of the things I've been doing to this point. I can't do dairy at all. I got my booster, but I can't say Walgreens was all that organized and it took a lot longer than I had expected. But it's done. Arm is a little stiff, but otherwise no symptoms yet. I think we've had our last hummer for the year. I'll probably take the feeder down tomorrow. Odd about the difference in customers at Kroger between today and last week. I usually pack my own groceries when I can because most people just throw things into a bag.
Linda, the key fob thing was really weird. Congrats on exchanging the tops for ones that fit so well. I saw on TWC that your area was expecting storms today. So I guess you're having Chinese for lunch and dinner. I'm not a huge fan of most wonton soup. Too greasy. Hope yours wasn't.
We watched the end of the Kentucky game, Kathy. Liked the outcome. I guess you saw that ND got beat by Cincinnati. I saw at the gym this morning that Texas A&M got beat by Mississippi State. That knocked them out of the rankings as well. Are the pumpkin patches there mostly for the kids or do they grow a lot of pumpkins? I don't think I realized pumpkins would grow well there do to the heat. Have you been getting rain? What we are getting today seems to be coming from the south. Are you sending it to us?
I found a tea recipe I am trying for my GI system. It has 1 tsp each of cumin seed, coriander seed, and fennel seed plus a piece of ginger in a qt of water. I had to get the coriander seed on Amazon because I checked 3 grocery stores and all they had was ground coriander. I wonder if that's something used more in seed form in other parts of the country. Despite GI problems (or maybe because of), I lost 1.2 lbs. Two steps forward, one step back. Gym wasn't bad. I was able to do everything I needed to and get to my booster appointment on time, not that it would have been a problem if I had been late.

Karen, thanks for the start. We must've sent our rain to you. We had some big clouds build up yesterday, but no rain. We could really use some at this point. They do grow pumpkins here, but I don't know how big of a crop we have. I think the pumpkin patches are more for the kids. The Seminole pumpkin is native to Florida, but I don't think I've ever seen one. I was glad to see Kentucky finally win against UF. They've come close so many times. Congrats on the loss! We had a crazy incident in the neighborhood yesterday. A young woman who was apparently very high or drunk hit several parked cars and took out some mailboxes. Her car was so damaged it wouldn't continue driving and police were called. They took her to the hospital due to her mental state, not due to injuries. Very lucky nobody was injured. Several neighbors came forward with security footage showing her hitting the cars. It wasn't near my house, but still scary to think people like that are driving around. Chele, I agree that the football rankings are subjective. A team that isn't usually ranked but has a good season is almost always ranked lower than the usual top ranked teams. Plus, the different polls don't even agree with each other. Does any other major sport go by rankings? I can't think of one! I figured you knew more about baseball than me.
Linda, that's frustrating when stores don't have enough checkout lanes open. Publix is usually quick to open enough lanes so you usually don't have to wait behind more than one or two people. Winn-Dixie is the worst around here.
