We are staying at an inn in Newberg OR. Itβs a very beautiful lush green area and many of the trees are turning colors. We have an appointment at one winery and dinner reservations at The Painted Lady, a tasting menu. Two friends who were on the old WW boards helped with suggestions. The week is passing quickly. Have a good day.

I will KOKO
I have decided NOT to play cards with friends. The three women that will be there have been fully vaccinated BUT one scares me with taking care of grandchildren going to school, socializing and interacting with extended family living nearby, etc. It is more potential for covid exposure than I want AND that woman would probably want a ride to and from cards. So, no cards for me for now.
My sister's hysterectomy is scheduled for the 15th at UC Davis and she will know whether benign or malignant cysts are the culprit. We are ALL hoping for benign!
I have a book review to write and more books to read. I will play in the closet for a bit and get on with the day. There is plenty to do!
JUNE: The government here is working to change things. There is much that needs to be done. The electricity situation for some is improving. The problem is that there is no real change in the situation as far as the people put into place to work in the cabinet or in the parliament so who knows what change will be possible.
ANN: I have laundry to do, too. Now...will I do it today or another day?
MJ: I am seeing Pippin as your husband's exercise pal and those few pounds disappearing quickly.
LADONNA: Hope you had a delicious OP day!
SUSI: Will Lily continue to grow nodules forever or will she eventually be "healed"? Hope you enjoy the concert...do you worry about attending?
AUDREY: How interesting that a customer at DIVE wanted to touch the ocean and had ridden a motorcycle cross country to do so!
Hope everyone sleeps well and has a wonderful Wednesday

Good morning, Audrey - Cathy - Ann - Becky - Bee - June - LaDonna - Susi - and AWL!!!
Prayers continue for you and your loved ones, and thank you for your prayers for me and mine...
Extra prayers for any in the path of fire and storm(s)... and for those who need extra helpings of divine intervention at this time... and a few extra for all students during the 2021-2022 year... and for those who mourn... and for peace in our nation.
And prayers for R's continued uneventful recovery... and Cathy's DSis' upcoming surgery...
Today is the Kressling's 16th birthday. I woke up thinking of meeting him for the first time in the hospital - so small - and so loved.
ππ΅ππ΅ππ΅ππ΅π
Yesterday's vet visit for Pippin was a good one. He met another staff vet and a final-year vet student and charmed them both. He gained 3# since his 9/13 initial visit. He got his 2nd dose of vaccines and has his appt for 3rd round plus another appt for his rabies shot, leading up to being boarded there for Thanksgiving. He got his tiny sharp stiletto nails trimmed. And I have his heartworm and flea/tick meds to give him here at home. I believe that he also expects me to buy him more of the lovely soft treats he got during his vaccination and nail trimming ππ€£
All that vet action plus the meds themselves tired him out and he spent much of the day snuggling (no problem here!). I did get in touch with Kessler rehab and made an appt for 3 PM today for their initial evaluation and review of the script - not at the place 1/2 mile away, but at the one that is 2 miles away.
The rest of today? Grocery run, for sure. Then there are always CinderElla/Fella tasks around here. It will be a cloudy day with temps only getting up to the low 70s.
Time for coffee... βοΈβοΈβοΈ... and morning prayer...
π·ππππ·ππππ·ππππ·ππππ· Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all! π·ππππ·ππππ·ππππ·ππππ·

Good morning ladies. Thanks for the start, Audrey. Have a wonderful time at the Painted Lady. Our leaves are slowly changing colors here as well. So beautiful. Cathy I don't blame you for not wanting to play cards. Better safe than sorry. Prayers continue for your DS. MJ so happy that Pippin's Vet visit was a good experience for him. LOL to getting him the 'soft treats' he was given while there. They are all alike in the food department Today shall be spent doing more fall cleaning. Changing drapes and such and curtains. What doesn't get accomplished today stays on 'the list' for tomorrow. In the meantime I shall continue to PTMH. Waving and wishing AWF a splendid OP day. Susi hope you enjoyed that concert

Good morning all. It seems like forever since I have been able to check in. I hope everyone is doing well.
Audrey It sounds like you have been having a good vacation.
Cathy I don't blame you for not wanting to play cards. I haven't been able to keep up on your WL journey lately so I hope all isgoing well there.
MJ I'm glad Pippin's vet visit was a good one. The vet we use only has the hard biscuits for treats and Scooter is used to the soft chewy treats so she turns her nose up on them. Nothing like a spoiled dog.
June I hope R is doing better.
Ann I hope all is going well with you.
My first party went well. I have another one tomorrow and I don't know how well her guests will buy but we will see. This will be my first party on my own. I already have another one booked for the 19th. When FB went down we were all scrambling since that is where we do all our work. Thank goodness it came up in time for the mega party they had planned. If I don't get a party next week I may try to get a Mary Kay party planned jonce I learn more about it. Yes it's a lot of work but I am loving all of it.
Continued prayers and hugs for all of you. I will check in as I can.

Hope ALL are doing good. Just seem to be shedding my skin to spend a lot of time on-line.
Sis has a stretching class this morning. After that we will travel to Center, Texas to go to a Super Walmart.
Milam, where I am, has a 4 corner stop --- a tiny restuarant on one corner, a church on another, and a Dollar down the way. They do have a sheriff and a post office.
So we travel far for most things.
Wemay have lunch out while there, or may not.
Other than that still working on stpe-climbing and descending. Legs are not happy at all! They will get ver it sooner or later.
Hope ALL have a great day

Good morning all, Another day of KOKO here. Leaves are falling like crazy, its raining and the humidity is still around. Will be glad when the temps match the leaf falling and all of the fall decorations that are out. Our little town is doing a cute little scare crow contest. Businesses and town folk are participating. For instance the little medical center has two scarecrows out front of their establishment dressed as a dr and a nurse...complete with masks and all LOL. On a certain day people can vote with canned goods at each crow and the most cans of course will be a winner. Its a way to have fun while collecting for a food drive. Audrey, your trip sounds so relaxing and peaceful. Cathy, praying the results will be benign - better to be safe. You'd probably not want to be around me as I'm vaccinated but always around people who are not. Been lucky so far. MJ, Pippin looks like a great snuggler - glad all went well. Becky, great to see you! Ann, you have been busy! I know it will all look nice when you are done. Can I hire you out? Bee, LOL on the legs getting over the exercises...good to hear from you. Susi, glad you got to go and enjoy the concert. June, hope all is going well with classes and R

Audrey - With all that traveling and stopping, I'm sure the time is flying by. Enjoy your tasting dinner at the Painted Lady. Cathy - Better to be safe than sorry. Prayers for a successful surgery for your sister. Given her history so far, it is likely that Lily will develop additional tumors. At this time, neither her vet nor her oncologist want to take a more aggressive stance as it can have the opposite effect. MJ - Glad Pippin did well. 2 miles isn't that far at least. Good luck with the evaluation. Ann - Glad you got so much accomplished yesterday and can just enjoy the day. Becky - What's important is that you are enjoying what you are doing. Yes, FB being down cause a lot of scrambling for people. Bee - Safe travels. Sounds like a very small town. Sorry about your legs. LaDonna - What a cute idea! The concert was great. She got in most of her hits plus a little new material. A pint of Guinness, tuna burger and shared Irish nachos and appetizers were probably not the wisest choice the night before my monthly WI, but I was still below goal which is all that matters to me.

Just lost my post. HATE when that happens. Here goes...............
Finished all we will do today. More tomorrow. I no longer feel the need to complete it all in one day. If never fails...whenever we do the closet switch the next day turns back into summer. Oh well..it WILL cool off. Just frustrating is all.
Bee enjoy lunch out if you go. I can understand your legs rebelling. KOKO.
LaDonna what an awesome idea to have doctor and nurse scarecrows complete with masks to invite a can drive. I bet it'll be a huge success.
Susi glad you enjoyed the concert. I always liked her. Yup, below goal works for me as well.
Now time to relax with a cup of coffee.
Waving!

Susi, sounds like a great night and you always do so good balancing out your indulgences.
Ann, that was just one example - there are lots of other types of crows..the bank has a money crow, the napa store which is owned by a biker has a "biker" scare crow. The ice cream shop has one holding an ice cream and sweet treats. The whole town is in the spirit and it is something fun to see. Warm and humid here as well...so ready for fall like weather and sweat shirts.
Got hamburger, rather deer burger, steaks cooking on the grill with peppers and onions.

Just got back from the big city. It was interesting. Ate at a place called The Catch. Had the lunch special --- fried catfish filets, fried okra and hush puppies. Some of the best fried catfish I have had in years. BUT, even though I hardly ever eat fried anything, I enjoyed it.. Just enough to not be overfull.
Dinner was a relish tray with cheeses ---Asiago cheese slices, swiss cheese, pepper jack cheese, martini onions, kalamata olives, pickled okra, marinated sweet peppers, bread and butter pickles and crackers. Bark thins for dessert. If the tin box climbs Friday --- I'll know why. LOL
Hope ALL have a good one.
