This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
All are welcome here.

Good morning, Jana, so nice you spent time with friends on your birthday. It sounds like a fun time. Goodness, I hope the monitoring of the phone for DGD is consistent. It's nice she had a birthday party; it's nice to feel special. OH GOODNESS, three weeks without a fridge, honestly, you are soooo patient! Lora, maybe CC should fill out a preference form for TV genres. He is such a fun little guy!!! I am enjoying Ted Lasso, but it's almost over for the season. That burrito bowl sounds amazing. That's my favorite type of food, I think. Susie, I just love that you tap dance! I might have to find something like that for me. A few years ago I saw some clogging acts on America's Got Talent... that's what I am picturing you doing. Wow, that IS interesting about Mrs. Lincoln. Who would have thought that? It makes me wonder what will truly be remembered and known about modern times/people. RobinMD, how's your back holding up? Doggie smell? That's normal here... it's the smell of a happy home, lol. Janet, I hope you are having a good week. Yesterday the sub wasn't able to come in, but she'll be in today and tomorrow, phew!!! Thursday is the end of the quarter, so I have been busy with finalizing grades and such this week. Today after school there is a staff meeting, so glad I've been on top of the grades. Tonight I do not want to bring any work home with me. I did get to the gym yesterday, but it was a little later than I usually go. Gosh, it's a different crowd after 5PM. Waving hi to everyone!

Good morning! So finally we have a repair date on our fridge. They will be there on Friday to repair. Oh and the home warranty is sending us a check for $200 to cover our frustrations with dealing with them. We decided to get the current fridge repaired since it is basically not costing us anything. We are still going to get a new fridge at some point but we are still concentrating on trying to payoff all the credit card debt from the house remodel. The timing for purchasing a new fridge was not ideal (but when is it, really?). I think in a month or 2 we will go back and get the new one. We are also want to get a new stove - and looking at having it run off our propane - I would prefer natural gas but it is not an option where we live at the moment. Once we get our finances in the right place we will probably replace both at the same time. I got so much work done yesterday in the office. It feels good to be progressing and seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. Today I need to leave a little early because my Pop has a follow up appointment at the VA for the eye surgery he had awhile back. He also had some tests run that we are waiting to get the results back from. Susie you sound as busy as ever. I think I would love the history classes you attend. That is very interesting about Mary Lincoln. Jill I am not really a patient person - I have been so grumpy about the fridge and a bit snarky too with DH. I am glad there is an end in sight. You sound super busy with school right now. I am hoping over the next few weeks things will be calming down for me and life will be normalizing some. I am looking forward to normal I am waving to everyone. I hope you all have a great day.

Good Morning (yes, I am barely able to say MORNING)...hope all are well. I got to my gym class and next is mah jongg. I have nothing scheduled today after that, so I am trying a recipe for chicken marsala...we will see how it turns out.
Jill - yes, it is definitely a different group of people who hit the gym at different times. I really like my morning class. I hope the new configuration of dues/whatever they are proposing at my gym does not mean we have to find a different one...especially with the personal training DH takes there.
Jana - I have EVERYTHING crossed I can cross that they are able to FIX your fridge !!!
OK...gotta run, but I will be back later

Hello friends!
Jill - thanks so much for starting us off this morning. I know you'll appreciate having the sub for today and tomorrow. Yay!! I hope the staff meeting isn't stressful and that it doesn't run too late.
Jana - Oh gosh, I'm crossing everything that Friday is the end of this refrigerator nightmare for you. I certainly understand waiting a bit to replace the current appliances. That was the original plan here as well. Of course my awful appliances seem to be going to last forever. Haha
Susie - sending good thoughts regarding the gym changes. I would hate for DH to have to try to find a new gym and new trainer, when he's been with this one for so long. Fingers crossed!
Janet - I hope you're having a good week.
Robin - Sending good thoughts for your work week as well, and I hope that your back is holding up and not giving you any pain.
Well what a weird weather day. It keeps switching between sunshine and deluge type thunderstorms. I ran out to the pharmacy to pick up a couple of Rx refills for Mark and popped in to DG to look around first. When I walked into DG it was bright and sunny. When I headed for the door a few minutes later it was a total down pour. I got soaked just getting to the truck. By the time I stopped at the pharmacy and headed back home we were back to clear skies and sunshine. There was another brief thunderstorm after I got home and now we're back to sunshine again. Also, all of this back and forth has made it impossibly humid. It's not too hot but goodness, the air feels so thick and heavy.
Keeping it super simple for supper tonight with a breakfast bake. Clean ingredient breakfast sausage, cheese, eggs with a splash of cream and some jalapenos for Mark. Mine is just the sausage and eggs/cream mixture since I'm still abstaining from cheese for now. I'm baking them in 2 different medium size casserole dishes to keep everything simple and easy.
It's hard to believe we're closing in on another weekend.
