Good morning friends. Slept well and grateful.
Today will be another day of crossing off something from the list. Sunday is our DOR and Monday will roll around soon enough.
I plan on making a huge salad for supper. Have lots of fresh veggies that need to be used up along with feta cheese. That and a roll will be sufficient.
Pam so happy DH made out well at his doctor appointment. I bet it's a load off your minds. Prayers continue. I too find it very difficult to walk past the Halloween candy. so far, so good. Great job on your WI maintain!
Thank you for your prayers for Mindy. I am going to send her a card today.
Waving and wishing all a peaceful and OP day.

Seriously thinking of taking today off from 'chores'. My lower back is bothering me on and off. Sometimes I can walk it off, so we'll see how that goes.
The bulk of it is done so I can feel good about that.
Just finished breakfast now onto more coffee!

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Saturday! We still have mild temps, only the sky is grey (again!). Can't have everything, I guess.
Ann ~ Thanks for getting us up and running this morning. I think taking a day off is a great idea. We know best how our mind and body feel, and I think it prudent to pay attention and plan accordingly. Good for you for knowing that and for practicing it.
Judy ~ Your pictures were lovely! What a spectacular house! I can understand why you are so excited.
Pam ~ What great news that your DH's wound is finally healing! Prayers continue for his well-being.
I made Overnight Oats last night with some leftover fresh pineapple, and DH declared it the best one we have had <LOL> I also sliced a half banana on top of each one when I served it. I suspect he liked the sweetness of it, but that's okay too. My tummy is happily FULL! We plan to go to the Outback Steakhouse tonight because we have ample gift cards and they have a salad I just love!
I have started today's "chores" as the bathroom is cleaned and the floor is drying while I sit and type. Then I'll make the bed, and pick up the kitchen rugs and clean the kitchen floor. I would love to fit in a walk, and later I will shower and dress to go out tonight. (Later) I have taken up and shaken the kitchen rugs. I worked all morning yesterday and then had an attack of fatigue at mid day. Fortunately by the time I sat down and ate my lunch, it went away completely. I attribute it to the remaining effects of vaccines. Glad to see it be so temporary and hope it goes away totally SOON!
I thought about it this morning that my PCP had said that since either one of them could throw me off my game for a few days, I might as well get them both together and "get it over with". That made perfect sense at the time, and still does. I am sleeping well at night which is always a good thing. Yesterday everything got done that I had hoped. Neither one of my arms is sore any more.
I made a IP full of penne pasta with meat sauce yesterday and we had a bowl each for supper and I put a container in the fridge and one in the downstairs freezer. And so begins the "having food done ahead of time".
I need to go finish up the chores that are weighing on my mind.
BBL. Make a great day!

Sue praying that the tired feeling passes quickly. I hear you on making up meals in advance. We do the same. In fact, the antipasto isn't happening for supper tonight. Instead we will have a salad for lunch (and my soup of course) I totally forgot defrosting the rest of the beef stew yesterday while cleaning the big freezer, so that is in the small crock pot warming up. Also know about the 'chores' that weigh on your mind. Enjoy the Outback. Jean dropped off some still warm apple cider donuts. She and her sister went to the orchard and thought of us. I am NOT a donut fan, however I just LOVE These. I shall enjoy as soon as I hit SEND

Carl had excellent results on his eye exam. No glasses needed still can get by with cheaters and no glaucoma. She was very impressed. He's good for another year.

Ann ~ Congrats to Carl for the great check-up! DH and I both went for exams recently and were pleased to receive a great report! My DFIL had macular degeneration and DH was relieved beyond measure to hear that he had no signs whatsoever. Also, cheaters were sufficient; though the Dr. gave him a Rx for driving if and when he thought he needed them. He has yet to get them made; said he is fine. My Lasix surgery from almost 20 years ago is still sufficient correction for me. I use cheaters when the print is too small or the lighting is poor. But we both had good eye health.
We went out to the Outback Steakhouse for supper and it was magnificent! We had a server that we used to see all the time and it was good to see her smiling face (despite the mask) and enjoy her upbeat sense of humor! We also got a visit from the manager who we used to see in there all the time (pre-COVID) and it was great to see another familiar. She even recalled that last time she talked to us we were sitting at a high top table in the bar area, and that she sent dessert home with us (it was one of our Friday the 13th mock anniversaries). We left there feeling very appreciated. I had the Steakhouse Salad (candied pecans, blue cheese w/blue cheese vinaigrette dressing and topped with grilled sirloin. My favorite!! I also brought half of it home and will have it another day.
Wishing all of you a restful evening and sweet dreams!!

Your meal sounds luscious. It's so nice being greeted and remembered. So happy you enjoyed dining out.You are both blessed to have good vision.
I never had great vision. I've worn glasses since 3rd grade. Only time I really appreciated good eyesight was when I was able to wear contact lenses.
Macular degeneration is slowly taking my sight. However, so long as I can read my kindle and use phone and desktop I'm grateful.
I have to go twice a year for my eye exams.
Sweet dreams
