This thread is for all of us who have been on the weight loss merry-go-round quite a few times. We have banded together to make this our FINAL time. We offer support & motivation, WEIGHT LOSS TIPS, food ideas – whatever you need to make it your FINAL time. If you start the day’s thread, please copy and paste this paragraph, with the following 2021 Goals:
Carole: 1.) Journal Daily, thoughts, feelings, ideas 2.) Track daily, Good, Bad, Ugly, HONESTLY 3.) Move every day, 10-30 minutes, as able 4.) Limit/Reduce Alcohol, All of it! 5.) Be thankful for something - every day
Gabrielle 1. Wellness--take steps each day to address better wellness (moving, attention to my eating, getting sleep, etc. 2. Debt-- continue to take steps to eliminate debt (including the kids college debt that we are covering) so that I have no debt when I retire 3. Connectedness-- each month have a plan to stay connected to those who I care about (maybe dinner once/month after COVID, Zoom, phone calls, etc. 4. Creativity -- seek out projects that keep me using the creative side of my brain (knitting, paint parties?, etc.)
Sue: 1. Get moving - plan to utilize my Cubii 3-5 times per week at least 2. Moderation - limiting junk, snacks, wine and all things I know that sabotage my success 3. Daily Gratitude - continue our November daily gratitude. 4. Start a journal - my "Life & Apples" journal will arrive later in the week. 5. Be more "present" - in life, in my journey, with family & friends, in all aspects of my world
Jenny: 1) I'm moving to a clean eating plan like more veggie dishes and less red meat 2) I pulled out my Bob Harper from the Biggest Loser's " Yoga for weight loss DVD" and do that in the evening since it's pouring down rain here. 3) Cut way back on the wine at nights, they sell those tiny little bottles that have 5oz in them and limit myself to only 1-2 per day, that can work right? 4) Track everything even if I'm in the negatives and hold myself accountable
Christine: 1. Cardio exercise daily (walk, stationary bike) 2. FOLLOW Keto Plan using Honesty. 3. Daily gratitude - Say something NICE each morning
Karen: 1. Take one step at a time and be kind to myself 2. Move by getting my kayak as often as possible. 3. Keep on Noomin' it seems to be working for now. 4. Try to sleep reasonably.
Shelly: 1. Be more organized at work. Never leave with stuff on my desk 2. Be there for people when they need someone to lean on 3. Stick with WW plan!!! No matter what!!!! 4. Be a better influence on those around me.

Good Saturday morning, ladies!
Sorry to have somehow missed the week since our Zoom call. My week fell off the rails at work (Have I told you that my principal is not smart?? Yes, I have.) But my focus on taking care of my eating has continued in a positive way.
I did not get a call made to Margaret Rudd this week ... meetings are dumb... but it will happen this week! Promise!
I'll get us some quotes and we'll go from there. To book online they want a full week... and as much as I'd love to do a Saturday to Saturday it is not possible in March.
We've had a rainy week - but we needed it pretty bad around these parts. It has been so dry this summer and now into fall. Our temps are lows n the 60's and highs in the 80's... but it is looking more fall-ish at times with some leaves coming off. We really can't "do" our leaves here until Thanksgiving because they're falling up until then.

Good morning!
I think we are all still giddy from our rainy Thursday night---it was enough that things are still damp. It's a good thing as we have a high wind event coming early next week and power shutoffs are slated to occur (not in our area we hope). Yay for Saturday....meeting a couple of friends for our long run. I have a mani/pedi appt and then meeting DS27 and DM to watch the Weiner Dog Races at our local Oktoberfest. It all should be fun...and a nice day--cool but sunny.
Karen: Thanks so much for starting us off today--yes, we do remember a thing or two about your principal Thanks so much for taking those extra steps to follow up on the place, I don't know that any of us can take a whole week either. Hope that next week has less meetings for you too (just because I am sure that you have plenty to do beyond go to meetings).
Hello to all who follow. Looking forward to a work-work-less day! Tracking is still going well and feeling good about choices...could have done a bit better with the water yesterday though. Will maybe pop in later, kind of busy day though.

Good Morning Karen - Thanks for starting us off today. Sorry your week was so "off"... thanks for continuing to get our plans set. Not feeling a SUPER day ahead... but will certainly try! Zoë spent the night last night - even when Eden had to be taken home at 7:30 PM! She "thought" she was ready... but she had a melt down about being scared and missing Mommy and Sash (their cat) and Daddy... it wasn't worth the tears - so I took her home. Actually Jaclyn met me about half way - but it saddens me that she was so scared being away from her Mom & Dad - and cat! Anyway... Zoë still wanted to stay - she doesn't understand - she asked "HOW can Eden be scared here with us?" GOOD QUESTION!!! Anyway... Tracy will pick Eden up this morning and we will meet at the orchard for apple picking. 20% chance of rain... of course... so I actually (already) can't wait to get back home!
Meanwhile - need to refill my coffee and catch up here - before my sweet huggable Zoë comes down ♥
Gabrielle: WOO HOO to a water/rain soaked ground!! YAY for a good day for you Thursday too. You are getting back to your groove - Yes nice to know others DO see/appreciate all you do for them day-to-day! Oh a new space too?? That will be nice. I hope you still get a window!
LOL Yes, when I was on the AA site, I was thinking HOW COOL I can pick that seat!! It was first row - only 2 seats... hope it is still available when I actually book the flight! LOL We often pay SW for the Upgrade to Business Select, so the fact that I can choose my seat when I book, will save me that upgrade charge!
Oh Octoberfest sounds fun - we never do things like that around here. One of the corn mazes (40 minutes away) has a Friday night - Beer Maze. I'd kind of like to go - but by the time Ken gets out of work it just feels too late to head out. I feel so old these days!
I totally get your excitement over having the yard "done". I LOVE our new yard! I actually got out yesterday to get some leaves blown off it - so they don't KILL the beautiful new grass out there!! We have so many leaves... on the ground and still on the trees! Too early to have Jeff come - so I take my leaf blower out and get some out!! It feels like a lost cause - because I know today there will be more out there!

Karen: I'd love a full week - but probably not for a "girl's trip" - I'd feel guilty not bringing Ken along for a whole week vacation! LOL
Our colors are still very slow to come, and what's here is very dull/muted. I hear north of us it is beautiful - but her, eh' still so green! Oh we have plenty of fallen brown dead leaves too - but no color to speak of.
Gabrielle: Sounds like a great day ahead for you. Enjoy! Yikes, high wind event? Glad you got some rain - I haven't heard, was it enough rain to "help"?
So one of Ken's employees took a robo call yesterday - the power company threatening to shut off their power. UGH! He was at lunch - apparently she called the number, and just like dominos - the day went to hell-in-a-handbasket! He went back from lunch early - got all the info called them back - tried to clear it up - but they told him he HAD to pay - in cash - in Greenfield... I was working so I checked his account - one of the checks had cleared the account back in September... I got suspicious... I caught him before he left - and told him before giving ANYONE any money - ask more questions. I didn't even know the whole story... just something didn't feel right! I do know that it didn't seem right about where they had him going to pay cash... anyway - sure enough - SCAM! When he got to the store to pay... he asked a few questions and sure enough - they said, NO, sounds like a scam... UGH What a waste of his time! When he got back to the store - THAT'S when he found out it all started with a ROBO CALL! The employee panicked when they said they were slated to shut off the power at 3 PM! We are still not sure who gave who what information - but they did have a lot of info when Ken called them... anyway - Thank Goodness we figured it out before he handed over the cash! On his last call the guy asked if he had paid yet, and Ken said No I am waiting for the police - so they can witness the transaction... the guy hung up. We still don't know for sure if they have enough info to continue to take money... so the bank put a lock out on the account - and now he probably has to open a new account, order new checks, change all his ACH - just a mess - from one single phone call! UGH!
Anyway... now I will log on to the work PC and see if anything is happening with the account... he still has to write checks today, so we aren't sure how it will all end - but it sure is a mess! Yesterday he was thinking retirement in April can't come soon enough!!
♥hugs♥

Good Morning all
It's going to rain all weekend here and that's OK, I like it. Audrey came home last night and spent the night so we ordered pizza and just chilled out for the evening watching scary movies. Today she will do her laundry and tommorrow we go for our flu shots around 4:00pm. Our Pharmacy now makes us have an appointment to get flu shots which is OK I guess, we went to get them on Tuesday and that's when we found out about the appointments.
Audrey say's one of her roommates will sleep all day if you don't wake her up, I guess she slept all day yesterday, is that normal? I really don't think so, it just sounds so strange.
Today I need to go to Costco and get some more vitamins and a few things so that will be my outing for the day. Carole, yes it's so strange that one phone call can really screw up someone's day, Kerry got a email about spending 700.00 dollars on something so when we called them they wanted us to go to a computer so they could get more information from him and I said NO were not giving you more information and we called our bank and they said it was a Phishing scam, it's all so strange anymore what they can do to scare you into giving them more money. It really makes me mad as well, no wonder more senior citizens get taken advantage of cause they sound legitimate when your talking to them. Sorry about Eden not spending the night, something must be going on to make her so scared.
Gabrielle I hope your enjoying your rain as much as I am. My grass has finally came back and is green, tonight it's supposed to really rain so I'm going to go out and put some food on the grass so it will come all the way back and get green. I hope you enjoyed your run.
Karen sorry your principle being not to bright.
Ok need to run for now and get the chores done and then go to my meeting I will CBL
Jenny
