Tuesday October 12: 144.2 - down .2 No damage during my visit with my sister. Itβs amazing but her food choices are so not appetizing to me! Wow! What a mindset change!

luvvinlife, I am always shocked also when foods I USED to love no longer look appetizing. I'll know I've crossed over when pasta bread sausage meatballs pepperoni wine and dark chocolate lose their appeal LOL

ann1953, luvvinlife, I've found that if I'm full I don't want things. There was a time when there was always room for something sweet.

Also the giant ads on TV showing burgers and what not - I think "ew".
Tuesday, October 12: 125.4 - up 0.6 lb. Easy go, easy come.
I have a plethora of excuses, reasons, justifications, whatever. Power went out just as I was getting ready to cook dinner. DH went to the deli to get sandwiches. I know the calorie count of the one I get. I usually eat half, due to power being out, told myself I should eat the whole thing in case it went bad in the fridge overnight. I had the calories to accommodate the whole sandwich, however, Mr. Lani brought home a slice of carrot cake. He ate most of it. Feeling put upon with the power and also I've been experiencing sinus congestion/headache for a few days, I "rewarded" myself with what was left of the carrot cake. I estimate it was about 150 cals, putting me over my planned total.
On the plus side, I did marathon vacuuming, floor washing, dusting (prior to the power going out) in a vain attempt to tame the allergies. It must be from the outside world that is causing them.

lani, Sorry about your allergies. As for the food, I'm pretty sure my mind would have worked the same way. One year I stopped tracking altogether after we were out of power for about three days in March (still winter here). I just gave up because my routine was off. Took me months to get back to tracking.

bbbearsmom , yeah, at least I track everything, come what may. Oh, and I finally got my chicken and vegetables cooked. The chickie was supposed to marinate 8 hours. Instead it was 2 days. I bet it will still be good.

lani, When we marinate beef brisket we marinate it for at least two days. Always tastes great.

bbbearsmom, yes, the chicken was dandy. Wednesday, October 13: 124.4 - down 1 lb. 'Bout time. Enough with these 125s. I'm OK with that number occasionally, but it has been showing up more frequently than I like. I did have a perfectly on-plan day yesterday. Now to string together a few more.
