This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
All are welcome here.

Good morning! Susie, thinking of you during your procedure today... and so glad the prep is in the past!! Janet, my daughter has a teaching degree, then took modules online (maybe 40 hours?? maybe 20 hours??), then shadowed for the required hours, then took an exam (state? I think?) She did that process in under 3 weeks, since she was doing it for sure to get a position. She worked at an ABA center in both homes and the center, then moved to a different center as an administrator/therapist. She LOVES it. She loves it so much she's also gone back to school online in the eve. to go to the next level. She really feels she is making a difference and loves working with the children. I am not sure if the requirements are different in different states. Lora, you spread such joy with your pictures. Thank you. Jana, how was your weekend with visiting family? RobinMD, I agree with Lora's statement about looking for a job while you have one. There is no pressure going through this process, and you'll know what's right when given your options. Today I am working on lesson plans then going to the gym. I am SO enjoying this 4 day weekend. It really came at a good time. Just when I think I am about to get overwhelmed, I get a break. Waving hi to all!

Good morning and Happy Monday to all!
Jill - thanks for starting us off, and for your sweet comment as well. I hope you get all of your work accomplished today, but find some YOU time as well.
Susie - I'm thinking of you today. I hope all goes well and you're feeling back to yourself in no time.
Well, last night DH got a text from the lady he was supposed to meet with at the new job saying that's she'd forgotten that they were all off today. Lol. So the paperwork and fingerprinting have been rescheduled for tomorrow, and he ended up being WFH today.
Not much else happening around here today. Just pretty much a run of the mill day. I was so glad that I woke up early though and got to see a colorful sunrise sky. My knees are feeling pretty good today, so I think I'll continue with the patella bands for walking and hiking. Having had knee problems my entire life, it's nice when something actually eases some pain. I can't believe I forgot about those darn things. Lol

Lora, I think it's great and a relief that you are enjoying the great outdoors even with the knee issues. It's nice you have those bands.

Hi everyone,
Jill, I hope you enjoyed your last day off and you can start your week refreshed!
Lora, I love to catch a good sunrise. I guess when daylight savings time starts, I'll be seeing them on my way to work everyday! I do hope those patella bands prevent any knee issues. So much better than going through recovery from problems.
Well, I just don't think this job would be worth leaving where I am working now. Not yet. I am thinking on it, but leaning towards not leaving. I didn't do much else today. I did stop by the farm stand on the way home and got some spinach, cucumber, a zucchini and some fresh eggs. I picked up a couple of things for my co-workers, too. They ask me every week now and I don't mind. I am going to pack up a nice salad for lunch tomorrow and see what I want for dinner tonight. I need to hard boil a couple of eggs, too. This has been a boring and gloomy weekend, and I am feeling the effects of lack of sunshine! I will probably go up early tonight and read a while. I sure hope everyone is having a good start to the week. I'll be back, but waving to all until then,
RobinMD

Hi Everyone, I didnt sleep well last night. When I woke up I felt all congested so took one of my Claritin's. When I dont sleep well, I usually feel really tired and not so great. I did do lunch with my friends. When I came home I took a nap which I hope wont affect my sleep tonight but I do feel better than this morning and afternoon. Back to Paradise tommorow. We have just 3 days though with the kids this week. Friday in the morning we have time to ourselves followed by a professional development training which will be from home. Next week is Parent Teacher Conferences which I need to work on and really only have 2 afternoons to do it as I have extended care tommorow. I have to start scheduling them as they will be in person this year. On the one hand it will give me an opportunity to meet some parents that I havent seen but in some ways wish it would be virtual again. Initially they said it would be virtual but glad that we dont have to go to their houses especially with Covid.
Susie, I hope things went well with your procedures..and that you had something nice to eat afterwards. Jill, thanks for letting me know about how your daughter got her ABA training. Maybe I can check with our Instruction Specialist to see if she knows of any trainings or thru this website for professional development that we access. Have a good night!

Hello Everyone....it's over...yeah...the colonoscopy was clear, thankfully (no diverticular disease, no neoplasia, no mucosal abnormality, etc). I will be looking all of these up tomorrow - lol. The endoscopy, however, showed "antral gastritis." The Dr said it is likely from long term aspirin use...but I have only taken the baby aspirin for 4 months. I used to take other NSAIDs... I guess that could be the culprit. Anyway, anyone know what "antral" means? All in all, I was happy not to have to go back for more tests, which was a possibility when I was sent for the colonoscopy. It had been 9 years anyway, so this was just a year earlier. He suggested I take 20 mg omeprazole as long as I need the aspirin....that sounds kind of over the top to me...any thoughts?
Jill - thanks for starting us...wonderful that you got to enjoy a 4-day weekend.
Lora - yeah for getting to see the lovely sunrise AND for those patella bands - I may have to check those out!
Robin - even though the job may not be right for now, it was good for you to go to the interview and discover that...like you said, it may still be an option in the future.
Janet - I am sure lunch with your friends was very enjoyable (and the nap too). I sure hope we both have a very good sleep tonight...last night was rough for me too.
On my way to bed now....night all...
