Welcome to the Clutter Patrol, formerly CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Good morning,
Had a good day at work yesterday. One of the sales guys got promoted to the finance manager position (all finance guys are managers). I’m glad they choose to promote from within whenever possible. I was able to complete all of my daily tasks with time to spare.
You guys are all so great with organizing and getting rid of excess paperwork, I decided to start tackling mine today. I have paperwork from the work I’ve gad done just stuffed in a box, so I bought envelopes and will label and date them so I can access when needed.
Ruth - I was offered free tickets for Sabres games and didn’t take them, twice … I’m just not interested in them anymore. And I used to be a huge fan. I don’t think they’ll do any better this year, the fire that used to be in this team is almost out. I don’t know what they need to do, they’ve changed coaches too many time’s already. No consistency, no drive.
Enjoy your day, see ya tomorrow

Joyce, that is good that the company promotes from within. There are some companies that don’t do that. Even trying to keep paperwork organized can be quite a task. I try to file/put away things in a file drawer as they come. At the end of the year (actually usually in April) when we get back from Florida I take all the paperwork out and put it in a box with the year on the box and put it in my storage area. If we need something at least it is filed by year in the box.
Ruth, I hope the insurance company gives you an answer soon. That is such a problem with waiting for the insurance company sometimes. Right now we couldn’t even fill one bag with leaves that are down. Our trees are still green and very few leaves have fallen. I hope they start falling soon because we might be doing the leaves in the snow (that has happened before). Our housing market has slowed down, so we just hope to get our place on the market as soon as possible.
Martha, the End Alzheimer's walk at the zoo sounds like a nice way to spend a Saturday. Will you have anybody walking with you?
Still nothing new on the house. The builders agent sent our agent a text early afternoon yesterday and said she would have information in a few hours. We heard from our agent about 9 last night that the other agent never got back to her. UGH!!! I need to head to the store, need some things for lunch.

(((HUGS))) Got to flu shot clinic early & they let me in. Working on my to do list but wanted to come by to check in. There are 3 Alzheimer's walk, Eugene, Salem & Portland. Asked my friend (whose DM had Alz), gave her the 3 options but due to shortage of employees, she has to work. Bummed but still doing the walk. After the walk, we can go to the zoo free. Portland doesn't get snow often. But when it does, you know that drivers forget how to drive. Off to get ribs in slow cooker for dinner..... (((HUGS))) m

Good evening all. Got my massage today and that’s about it. I did stop and pick up a large Target order on my way home. Still no word from the pain clinic, so I’m guessing they haven’t heard from the insurance company yet. Maybe tomorrow! I do have a couple questions for the neurosurgeon and I need to send those in.
Joy, you now feel about hockey like I feel about football. The Vikings were ok, but we didn’t have season tickets anymore; we stopped having the tailgate parties (everyone had young children and it was too hard to host or get away after some worked and were away from their kids all week, etc.); so I kind of lost interest. Back in the mid to late 70’s I knew every player’s #; their position; I could name all 44 players! I had 2 different Vikings jerseys (#30 / Bill Brown; #59 / Matt Blair) and a Vikings winter coat. Stan and I have talked about if we will get Wild tickets or not this season. Right now we do not feel comfortable being inside the arena because they aren’t requiring masks or proof of vaccination or a negative test. Maybe someday, not today!
Paperwork was the bane of my existence when I worked and it still is!!! I HATE HATE HATE filing! At one point I had 5 years of filing at work (I just didn’t have time to do it and so it didn’t get done; but, if my boss needed something from a specific year, I could find it!). Eventually he hired part time help for me and their first duty was filing! Ok with me! And a couple years ago older DD helped me sort paperwork here into filing; shredding; recycling. I need her to help me again! And she would. I work on it every once in a while, but it’s a work in progress! I do have taxes in file folders; and I work at shredding/recycling one file a year as the new year’s go into the drawer.
Dottie, hopefully you’ll hear something tomorrow morning. Fingers and toes crossed! Thankfully we don’t have to rake here at home; so we go help DS. BTW, he thinks he may have a tentative date for surgery. He has a minor procedure on 11/3; and he said 4-6 weeks after that they will do surgery. Not sure what’s going to happen if it’s while we are in Hawaii. Can’t cancel for that. DIL may have to take vacation or find someone to help with Mara.
Martha, people in MN forget how to drive in snow. The first two or three snow storms there are hundreds of accidents because people drive like idiots!!! I try not to even be out on the roads and once it snows; I don’t drive until there’s no snow on the streets at all and it’s warm enough not to have black ice.
Ok, going to do a couple quick chores. Tomorrow I want to get downstairs. Have a good night all. More tomorrow!
