WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (thereforeacknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.

C120D8, 1239 calories, 15 purple points, all nutritional values met except 4 grams low on fiber.
The cool night aide just picked up Saturday and Sunday days!!! So for the time being we are covered 7 day shifts and 7 night shifts each week. Will wonders never cease!

OMG it's 5 AM and I'm still up after reading some followed by the second half of two movies, Terms of Endearment and Something's Gotta Give. I guess it's Jack Nicholson night. Two eating sessions - (1) a plain slice of 647 with 2 social tees and (2) a pack of WW Mac n Cheese potato sticks with 2 more social tees. So now I'm at 1429 calories and 21 purple points. I think I'll do my back and foot exercises now so that I can change my alarm from 8 to 9 hoping that I can sleep from 6-9. Hope I can make it thru line dancing. Well I will of course. Will this ever stop?

For the second night in a row I woke up and threw up. My upset stomach kept me up for a bit after that. I started feeling a little nauseous during my 5:30 class and didn’t have much of an appetite in the evening. The good news is I’m hungry this morning. I’m actually thinking about eating something before my run.
Lori, 48 oz isn’t a ton of water, you’re right. My SIL was drinking upwards of 2 gallons.
Nancy, so sorry about your insomnia. Your comment “well I will of course” made me smile. It’s true, isn’t it? A lost night of sleep is usually ok for me, but when they start to add up it gets hard. I wish for you an easy day.
Louise, I also prefer fruit to veggies. I no longer stress about my lack of vegetables.

I never got back to sleep but accomplished a lot. Our aide called in sick. We always take a break from line dancing since it's an hour and a half class. So today we skipped the break and stopped after an hour bringing me home in time to start his routine only a half hour late.
Jan - DH had a suggestion so I looked up prednasone side effects "difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep." Bingo! Sorry about your nausea. I swear if it isn't one thing it's another for all of us.

Nancy, Glad you figured out the cause of your sleepless nights - how much longer will you be on them? The side effects of meds can be horrible. My Mom had to stop her cholesterol meds due to liver levels elevated on her blood test. Now going for a liver scan. You really need to watch those meds....I was so glad to hear you had full coverage then read your latest post...like you said, always something. At least you fit in line dancing!!
Jan, Really strange about your stomach issue. Hope today went well and your felling better. So yesterday, I had a little less water and woke up with leg cramps last night. Not listening to that doctor.....
Louise, your skating sounds like a wonderful way to get in your exercise and great for your balance! Even better that you enjoy it so much!!
Looking forward to tonight’s dinner - chicken teriyaki with grilled pineapple, baked potato and roasted green beans. Nothing too special, just a good healthy meal!

Today was day 233. I just stopped the count while I was gone (since I wasn't tracking) and picked it up today. Did pretty well today. Long work day and it's not over yet, but grateful to be home safe and healthy.
Report on my time traveling and in Maryland: I was pretty pleased with how I did! Controlled eating, almost no sugar, very little snacking. I did have one afternoon where I ate several things I didn't need, and I had some airport trail mix that I'm sure was very high in calories, but it could have been so much worse! So I'm calling it a win. Of course I haven't stepped on the scale yet. I'm dreading that. I work SO hard to get a couple pounds off, and they come back on so easily - you know the drill. I will adjust my attitude and weigh myself in the morning. It is what it is.

Lori - One pill tomorrow and one and Friday, then I'm done. It's so cool to be pain free - everywhere. I realize, of course, it won't last.
Meg - Kudos for staying in control under a challenging situation. Who knows? Maybe the scale will surprise you.

Proboards no longer recognizes me and I can't start the thread. Does anyone have a suggestion? It happened because I had to reset google to the defaults.
