WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (thereforeacknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going.

1766 calories 1211 exercise calories 94g protein 39g fiber
I gave myself permission to eat a little more if needed yesterday and had a Premier Protein shake at around 10:30. I was surprised and happy that I didn’t need more food after 2 lower calorie days. Thank goodness my stomach felt fine all day. I went for a detoxifying foot soak. Gross, gross, gross. In theory, it releases toxins that have built up in your body. The water turns a disgusting dark brownish color with bubbles and other fun things. It’s not proven that it does anything at all, but my feet didn’t ache like they usually do this morning.
I got stung while I was eating lunch yesterday. I think it was one of those small sweat bees. I decided to wait it out and not immediately use the epipen because of the side effects and the necessary follow up visit to the ER. No allergic reaction at all, with the exception of a little itchiness.
Nancy, the prednisone explains your insomnia; I don’t know why I didn’t make the connection. At least you have an explanation now.
Lori, we really do know our bodies best, don’t we? Your dinner sounds delicious!
Meg, welcome home!

Day 234. I am SO grateful that the scale only went up 0.6 lbs from a week ago! That's unheard of (in my life).
Nancy: Sorry you're having tech issues. I hope you don't lose all your thousands of posts.
Jan (and others): Can I ask about the protein shakes you guys mention? Name, where to buy, AND - do they have sugar? I make my own but would love to have a quick and easy option.
Waving to everyone!

I've been eating more than usual. Yesterday was 1518 calories and the day before 1429 yet my weight went down 1/2 lb after each day. Strange. Last night I slept right through the night so no snacking and feeling great today.
I can't sign in and there's no where I can find to contact technical support via phone or email. So I can't start threads and must remain a guest. I tried every user name and password for proboards on my password document and nothing works. Canasta tonight. Yeah! The weather is gorgeous today.
Jan - Now a bee sting. You are due for a break.
Meg - They are "Premier Protein" shakes. They are yummy. I keep mine in the fridge and drink them right from the bottle. They have 30 grams protein - 1 gram sugar but no added sugar, 5 gm carbs. Each one is 11 ounces. My favorites are vanilla, peach and caffe Latte but they come in many other flavors. I get them in the supermarket. They're usually somewhere near the pharmacy Dept. Each is 2 points and 160 calories.

Nancy, Enjoy the pain free as long as it last! And wonderful to hear you had a good nights sleep! It’s always nice to see the scale going down....
Meg, Great job while being away and traveling!! Yeah for scale victory!! Great motivation to continue your healthy habits!!! Meg, I buy the premier shakes by the case at BJs, Costco carriers them also (they sometimes have coupons) - caramel is my favorite, I use it in place of milk in my coffee. You can also get the 4 packs at pharmacy’s, rite-aid, cvs etc...
Jan, so glad stomach is feeling fine, weird for sure...interesting regarding foot detox, don’t think we have any place around here that offers that...also interesting not all bee stings are the same....learning so much!!!..lol

Thanks for the info on the shakes. I'll check them out!
Birthday dinner tomorrow night: I may pack some of my own dinner, since we're having some kind of noodles and egg rolls! But I'm planning in a serving of lemon bar cake!
Peace to all.
