Happy Day All!
Mar - sorry to hear about your fainting episode. My first thought was dehydration, but am certainly not a doctor or anywhere close. Just glad you're feeling better now.
Today we're going to get our flu shots. Hopefully IF we have sore arms, they'll be better before driving to FL on Sunday. Will also get the car washed, run by the post office, give Charlie a bath, and get a few groceries. Not in that order, of course!
My friend sent pictures of my new kitchen countertops and I love them! Haven't heard from the contractor if he got the sink installed last night and the water turned back on. Sure hope so. Because of our A/C system, no water equals no A/C. It's too early to call him, but will text in a bit. They're an hour behind us.
The soft wood trees are changing here, but not the hardwoods. We should be back before the leaves are at their peak. That's usually mid-November.
Oh - got a really short haircut yesterday. Probably a bit too much, but it will grow fairly quickly.
That's all I can think of this morning. Please have a good day and get in a few good laughs. Cheers!

Morning All!
I’ve decided there is something inherently wrong with having to take out the garbage in the dark – this morning at 6:30 am I was out there moving filled cans of stuff. I had cleaned out some closets and had 5 filled to the brim garbage bags as a result. Feeling proud of myself for getting rid of stuff is one thing, having to take those bags to the curb in the dark is another story all together. Lily couldn’t figure out what was going on – we never move in bed until the sun is up…..
The cleaning lady is here now and doing her thing so I will have more time to add to my day after she leaves. It’s supposed to be about 75 degrees here today and sunny (what happened?) so I think I will take my wagon out on the deck and empty the flower pots. Usually I don’t throw them away but compost them in the back behind the cyclone fence. It’s a good day to get that done. Lily will love the time out of doors as well.
Wishing all a pleasant day.
Dayle

I'm an early bird this morning too. Up about 7 and it wasn't quite light out yet but my phone was ringing so had to see who would dare call me at that time. Evidently I had somehow set an alarm for 7 a.m. Because I'm meeting friends this morning for breakfast and it's about a 45 min drive I decided I may as well get up. Only 46 here and windy but we did manage a short walk around the block so he could do his business. I'll probably need a nap this afternoon.
Dayle, I would definitely not like walking down my driveway in the dark. Because our garbage truck comes so early I always put the garbage/recycling out the night before.
Nothing else on my mind this morning. Have to leave in about 15 minutes so I can stop for gas and drop off a book at the library before I head to Perkins.

MAR, Hope all is well with the bruise, They do feel warm to touch and swell when they are a big one. but know you will feel better to have it looked at. Let us know. I would be more concerned about the fainting.
It is 75° and boy that sun has some heat to it. I did get my flu shots today. The regular strong flu shot and then the Pfizer Booster. Both arms. The regular flu shot burned a bit going in but just for a second. Nothing major. The pharmacist and I had a good chat. She is new and very friendly. Small pharmacy and she said steady for shots but no major rushes. They have rules to follow and people following them well.
I got a roast beef sandwich at Arby's and a Strawberry lemonade. Sure was thirsty. Not so much hungry. I just picked up at the window and came home. Had chocolates in the car from the local Candy shop. they were having a sale on my DGSs favorite turtles and since I am getting a box ready for them, I will include that and also some meltaways. Will send them out first of week when temps are to be lower. I send the box priority and that usually goes faster. Saw some cute things in the gift area for Christmas , may go back and get them next week just to be sure they will be available.
Penny glad you like the counter tops. Bet you are anxious to get down there and see them. What is the next project after the sink and water turned back on.??

What a morning
Had thyroid check blood test
Saw doctor about fall. Bruise isn’t infected. It’s big. Said to use heating pad a few times a day. Leg is ok it’s bruised. She said possibly of a spine compression fracture so had a lot of X-rays. Said fainting was from the bad diarrhea and not lower heart rate. Said I got up to fast. She was not concerned about resting heart rate and said not low enough to cause issues.
Hopefully will get X-rays results and blood test results quickly.

We still have snow in the yard! High of 36 today.
hb continues to decline. I think I've mentioned that his new doctor said that with his weight loss he will qualify for hospice. I think it's time to do that.
My helper hasn't been here this week. She had a miscarriage with complications. I feel so sorry for them with all the emotional and hormonal problems that accompany this situation.
Things are otherwise fine here.
We've had our boosters. This is one of the delta variant hot spots in this country, but I continue to be very cautious.

Sue, so sorry to hear that. Hope hospice goes well for him and for you.
My experience with miscarriages makes me feel really really bad for her. I hope dumb people don’t not say, oh you can try again, like this child was not real to her.
Dayle, I'm with Betty, our garbage goes out at night for early morning pick up. Wow on getting rid of five bags from closets. Way to go.
Penny, so happy countertops look good and hope the water and sink are ready for you. Is this the last of it..?
Ouch, Mar, that must ache. Arnica ointment is good for the ache and reducing the Bruise; found that out in Germany after DH got big chest bruise when a woman dragging her luggage tripped him in train station. Dr recommended it. Hope x Ray is good.
dH got his blood test done and is now on a normal lighter eating diet like mine. Phew. But we are having our October pumpkin pie. House smells good. So today we can eat outside at restaurant with cooler temps and Flemings closed their patio for two weeks.🥴. So it is late lunch / early supper at Mexican place .

Looks like my thyroid level might be totally in normal range. Got the 3 of the 5 results so far. TSH is on the low end but in normal range. Waiting for other 2. This is exciting.
Hoping X-rays results will come in today also.
Sue- hospice is wonderful help.
Lin- yay he can eat normal again.
