Good morning WW friends. Slept well and grateful. Today is another day of no agenda. I'm keeping 'the list' handy just the same. When I feel 'up to it' I shall continue. Until then it's a lot of little things to keep me busy.
Judy so happy that things are moving right along at your new Cape home. You'll be in there soon I hope. Always loved a good prime rib. Happy you got a good walk in the D&D and are enjoying your British mystery book. I agree with Pam. Contractors seem to work like heck at the beginning....then they flit from job to job. It's maddening! Pam keeping Debbie's DH in my prayers. Please keep us posted. Nice that you and Abby got to watch the Addams Family cartoon together. You are such a great gramma Sorry for the gain but your meals sounded very tasty. Happy you enjoyed and you WILL see it move in the right direction. Keeping your DH in my prayers as well. So nice of you to drop off goodies to Debbie while she is at the hospital.
Waving and wishing all a peaceful and OP Monday. I shall CBL

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Monday!! We have temps in the low 40's (more than a cool down) but it does promise to get back up to 60 this week. Our furnace is on and working.
I ordered a shirt for a gift, and used Pay Pal. Now I discover that they have charged my credit card TWICE! I am so annoyed! I only received one confirmation so I know only one shirt is coming. I sent an email to my Credit Union about it. Anyone have any other ideas?? I tried the company but it is all recordings. Shoot! I had hoped by using Pay Pal I could avoid problems with an unknown seller. Help!
I need to jump in the shower and get ready for school.
BBL. Make a great day!!

Sorry about that, Sue. Unfortunately I have no words of wisdom to share. We haven't used pay pal in awhile. I pray that you get it all straightened out. I know all too well how frustrating that can be. Hopefully your work day will be fun and drama free. Breakfast and one mug of coffee are done Our next door neighbors are having their roof done, so very noisy out there. Benjamin is not a happy camper. Will spend more 'cuddle time' with him and perhaps go for a buggy ride. That will keep him amused and a change of scenery is always a good thing. Foliage here is beautiful so we can enjoy that as well. Time to get a move on.

Ann ~ Good to hear you sounding so upbeat today! Sorry about the neighbor noise, but sounds like you have a good plan in place.
I have emailed an inquiry to my Credit Union as well as to the company that I bought the shirt from (sent a "reply" to their confirmation). I am not dwelling on it, because I do not intend to pay for it! The one I ordered was exorbitant enough, but at twice the price - no way!
DH has requested pizza and salad tonight, so I took the half pizza out of the freezer and he will make a salad when he gets home. This morning he left early because he had a dental appointment (cleaning).
I also hope for a drama-free day at school. BBL.

Hey all,
Thanks for the encouraging words on the house. We are nearly there. I think it is very true about builders moving onto other projects and then all of a sudden, yours take a back seat. He has to finish so that he can get his last payment. We like the home inspector we hired and he'll do an independent inspection on October 28th. Worth the money in our view.
Pam, so sorry about Debbie's husband. That sounds so serious. So glad he is in the hospital and I pray they get to the source and start healing him soon. Your not-so-busy day sounded exhausting to me. You are such a whirlwind of activity all the time. :-) I don't know how you do it all. How is your DH doing with his foot? Hope it is getting better, too. Jude sounds adorable - bailing out someone who was dropped at the last minute. He's a good guy- your grandson. I am sure he made her day. Good for Jude's friend for "brokering the deal."
Sue, I am sure your bank will hold up to the double charge on Paypal. They should credit you. I hate those snafus.
I am a bit drowsy today. I stayed up a bit too late reading my book. I wore a favorite blazer today and dressed in semi-darkness at the hotel. I noticed (too late) that it is covered in little pills! Ugh. I washed it last week. I tried picking them off by hand, but too tedious. I need to get one of those sweater shavers or a razor so I can wear it. It's chilly out, too!
TTFN...have a great day all. Lunch will be a chicken thigh, black beans, steamed spinach and a bit of rice. That's one of the menu items that sounded healthy to me here at the university.

We took a nice ride around and stopped at a cute country store. Unfortunately it was closed but we got out just the same and walked around. They had a nice picnic area so my guess is that they sell food in the country store. Will make a note of it and go back again at a later time. I wish they had hours posted but nothing. I tried to find the hours online but a dead end there as well. I will have to ask around to see if anyone can shed some light on it.
The roofers are still banging away. It was nice to get out for a bit.
Benjamin is covered in his blanket sleeping on his bed so I guess he's not too stressed by the noise.
Now to do a few more things online and then sit and read.
Judy I know what you mean by those little pills. I have a sweater shaver that works okay. If you have a name of a good one, please share.
Waving......

Good afternoon!
We are back from wound care and I am happy to report there was less drainage and the wound was smaller. We will go back on Thursday and if the drainage is still slight, he'll only change the cast once per week. One trip per week after so many weeks of daily trips sounds heavenly!
We stopped by the hospital and brought Debbie fresh home-brewed coffee. Her DH is doing a little better today. They are supposed to do a procedure today to check out his artificial heart valve to see if that is the problem. She was waiting to grill the cardiologist. It is so hard for nurses when a loved one is sick. They know every possible terrible diagnosis and it is SO scary. I have seen this in my DSIS and DSISIL's that are all nurses.
Before we left town this morning, we stopped by the town hall and inquired about getting a natural gas line run so that we can have a Generac whole-house generator installed. They told us how it works and put us on the list. Apparently, they are nearing capacity of the natural gas system and at some point, will have to deny requests for new hookups, so as not to overwhelm the system. The guy also directed us to a reputable local company for installation of the generator itself. We stopped there after DH's appointment and gave them information. The guy said someone would call to set up an on-site inspection and that has already happened. We are scheduled for 11/5, DH's birthday. Our recent foray into the possibility of solar power was a deadend, as we do not care to invest $120,000 in it, which was the quote we got. As hurricanes seem to be more frequent now, we just want to be able to remain at home with some source of power other than electricity.
I had Blueberry OO for breakfast and a slice of ham with leftover okra and sweet corn and half an acorn squash, which I love. That will hold me until dinner, which will be shrimp-stuffed zucchini and a salad. The scale was up again this morning and nearing the DANGER zone.
I have started laundry and cleaned up the breakfast/lunch dishes in the kitchen. I plan to spread Preen on the vegetable plants and do some light weeding. I don't want to get too hot and sweaty because I have Alzheimer's caregiver support group meeting at 4:00pm.
As I was typing this, I heard from Debbie that her DH's heart valve is fine and they are now suspecting an asymptomatic UTI like Bill Clinton had. I have suspected that this was my DH's problem in June, because they never cultured anything from his foot wound. Anyway, she is MUCH relieved! Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers!
Sue - I believe if you sign on to PayPal, there's a tab for "Dispute a Transaction". I would file with PayPal and with the credit card company. So annoying!
Ann - I love a country store! So much fun to visit, even if you don't buy anything. Hope your neighbors' roof is finished quickly.
Judy - Anna was teasing Jude that he didn't "have game" because he didn't dance much and didn't kiss his date goodnight. He replied that he must have "enough game", as the girl suggested another date real soon. Those two crack me up! Your lunch sounded both healthy and filling.
Time to reboot laundry!

Pam I am overjoyed to hear of DH wound and Debbie's DH. Prayers continue.
I don't hear any banging so I'm sure they are done....if not complete at least for today.
I'm already jammified so Carl and Benjamin will walk together lol.
I plan on cleaning up when they leave and read. It's a good trade off.
Sweet dreams and talk tomorrow.

Glad for all the good news I read on here today. Tired now and need to unwind before bedtime.
Pam ~ Thanks for the tip!!!
I have communicated with both my Credit Union, Pay Pal and Master Card. Pay Pal is communicating with the vendor I ordered from. The guy at Master Card couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. I feel much better now that I've done something. I will leave it in their very capable hands from this point on.
Nice evening and sweet dreams!! More tomorrow .....
