Thanks for the start, Karen. How was the MG meeting last night? Did you vote on the Christmas gathering? I wouldn’t want to do it, since there will be food and drink and people taking masks off. I would love to see the cormorant. I am still waiting for the red bellied woodpeckers to come back. No headache from the wine yesterday. 😀. Mr Lemon is still outside. Iggy is upset because the birds are using it to wait their turn on the feeder. 🤣 Iggy’s prescription was finally ready yesterday. His muscle is much better so now he doesn’t need it. He suffered all last week without it. 😡 I saw the field littered after the IT game. Someone even threw a plastic mustard container, full sized. People have no control any longer.
Linda, I want to dump cable but Iggy won’t hear of it. The prices keep going up and Spectrum is less willing to wheel and deal than Time Warner. How are the sniffles today? I never knew that about woodpeckers. I wonder if there is a lot of theft by squirrels?
Kathy, too true about selling beer in cans. I saw a fistfight at a pro football game between two sets of fans. Come on, people. We are going backwards here and are no longer a civilized society.
I wasn’t feeling my best today (arthritis), so Iggy made one of my favorite plain meals-broiled cod, roasted cauliflower, roasted red pepper and sautéed onions. It was so good. I miss plain meals now that Iggy does most of the cooking. I need to get back to them, though, because the way he cooks inflames my joints and inflates the scale.

Linda, enjoy that fall weather. You're due some more seasonal weather. Do you have some energy today to work outside while the weather is conducive? I've never seen a tree with nuts like the one you posted. Like Chele, I also wondered about squirrel thefts.
UT got fined $250K over the melee on Saturday, Kathy. I thought they were supposed to be selling alcohol (including beer) only in cups, but they have apparently started selling it in cans as well (no bottles). In addition to the fine, the alcohol policy is under review. No cormorant today, but he was entertaining yesterday. We've seen him a couple of times in the past few days, so he may be back.
Chele, we already have a few red bellied woodpeckers. I don't know about your feeder, but they are the kings (and queens) here. When they fly in, everyone else vacates. It might not be good to bring in Mr. Lemon right now or you may have some feathered friends inadvertently admitted as well. Yay on the Rx. Of course it's available now that he no longer needs it. Are you going to pick it up in case there's a next time? What happened after the UT football game was uncalled for. You're right about our uncivilized society. Your lunch sounds tasty. Hopefullly it settled the joints down. The Chef needs to start appealing to the palate of his customer. I have to say that my joints have been doing better since I went totally whole foods plant-based. And I notice that I haven't had a rosacea flare in a couple of months, so it must be helping there as well. GI system is a work in progress but improving. MG meeting was not as well attended as I had anticipated, given the speaker we had being a perennial favorite. The Nominating Committee still has not located someone willing to slip into my current position, so I hope we will have someone by next month. It's not like I have a choice of staying around, even if I wanted to (which I don't).
Gym was a little crowded but I still got in and out in around an hour, which is the goal on Tuesdays. No stops on the way home, but plenty to do when I got here. Dale has pickleball class tonight, so I guess Arya and I will be watching baseball. Talked with BFF a little while ago and she sounds better. Her DH with melanoma is doing a lot better since they changed his treatment regimen.

Chele, that sounds like a nice lunch. I enjoy some fairly plain meals sometimes too. I cancelled Starz a few months ago after Outlander ended. My cable bill is now about the same as it was when I had Starz. It just creeps up and up each month, along with my internet and phone bill. I can only imagine the critters and bugs that would come along for the ride if I brought a tree inside here! I saw that picture of the mustard container on the field. It does seem like we're going backwards.
So frustrating on the Rx. I must've made 4 or 5 calls each to the pharmacy, insurance and doctor to get mine. I was shocked when my last call to the pharmacy resulting in them filling it. Of course, there had to be one final thing. The woman putting the order in said she couldn't get a 90 day supply to go in, so I'm going to have to refill it each month. Hope you're feeling better. Karen, I saw that about the UT fine and wondered what other actions they might take. Not selling beer in cans or water in bottles would be an easy first step. Sounds like they might have to ban condiment containers too. I saw where the cheerleaders and band left when they started getting pelted. That's pretty sad. Hope the cormorant returns. I never saw a tree with nuts or acorns like the one Linda posted either. It does seem like other critters would eat them. Glad your BFF and her DH are doing a bit better.
Waving to everyone. Have a good evening.

Glad you got the prescription.
Mid 70s today going to 89 Saturday which is norm. Dog is telling me his afternoon walk should happen!
One of those wake up a lot all night…including flashing lights on cable box with lots of abbreviations…turned up it was a firmware update for the box which usually has a cover over the light…unsettling. So not real energetic start.
Did get bed changed and actually washed the mattress pad too. Dried outside, then tumbled in drier to get out pollen. NOw I need to fight it into the container since I put another on the bed. Did two laundry loads.
Got some ambition and pulled all the pillows out of closets (not using Shams). Threw out seven really old inexpensive ones. Nice to have more room. Still have six, mostly feather and memory foam. If we have overnight company, need pillows for inflated bed. Then tackled the lower linen cabinet in the hall. Kept that stuff but rearranged it. You would not think in AZ we would have four sets of flannel sheets!
Yankee pot roast on stove smells good, just need to peel the carrots and potatoes to add.
