Good morning friends. I'd like to know how it got to be 10/20 so quickly? ? Next week we have our PCP wellness exams on the 25 and I have my cut/color on the 28. Time flies.
Not much on the agenda today. Depending on how my back feels will determine what chores I do. It was bothering me on and off all day yesterday and the pain is still with me this morning. Sometimes I'm able to 'walk it off' We shall see.
Pam that color sounds very pretty. I know what you mean by the great outdoors making you tired and I agree...it's a GOOD tired My supper was also 'pointy'.
Tonight we are having stuffed peppers. This time I picked up red ones as they were on sale
Waving and wishing all a peaceful and OP day. I shall CBL

Hi Ann and friends,
Back at work in the office today and getting lots of work done this morning. My alternate life from the hotel!
I bought a great sweater at TJ Maxx yesterday and was set to wear it today - had my outfit laid out - when I notice they left the security tag on it! Ugh! Now I have to go back to the store to have them remove it. I thought I heard a beep when I left the store, but didn't think it was me as there were others near me. Little stuff, but it's annoying.
We watched some of the Red Sox last night but it was lights out by 10. Good thing since they lost big time near the end. I read more of The Gentleman from Moscow. Enjoying it and I am reading it s-l-o-w-l-y. I don't know as much about Russian history and the Bolshevists so I stop and look things up along the way. So far, I am really liking the book. It's not a quick read. I think it's one of those books where if you skim anything, you miss all the nuances and insights.
Pam, you are right about nature wearing us out in a good way. I saw a news clip about stress and one of the key ways to lower stress levels is to be outdoors daily. You certainly accomplish that with your gardening (another stress reliever according to the clip.) Glad you traced the potato to its root! :-)
Ann, thanks for getting us going. Sorry you have back issues. Hope you feel better. Stuffed red peppers sound great. I can't wait to cook again.
The gas connections are all in - fireplace done, etc. The builder tells me all inspections will be completed by Oct. 28. Fingers crossed. I write to him daily asking for updates. I would rather write than talk at this point. I want to see things from him in writing. He gets too long winded with promises on the phone. This has been quite the experience.

How annoying to have to go back and have the security tag removed.
Happy you have a diversion from the hotel and are at work.
My back feels a little better. I took a walk a hot shower and Carl rubbed it down.
We are without electricity until 2:30 estimated time. Good thing I had my coffee and soup heated lol.
Waving.

Ann, what caused the power outage? Can't be weather related today! It's so beautiful out.
I have had a lot of bad news today about friends - one gentleman I am very close to and an alumnus of the college is hospitalized with a mass on his lungs. He is 88 and such a great man. He has become a good friend. He always calls to check up on our DD. We hadn't chatted in a while and I was just thinking of him and hoping all was okay. Then I heard about another colleague who left here for another job and is having substance abuse issues which just caused her to lose her very good job. Very sad - she has two little kids. I also learned that another co-worker's son died unexpectedly the other day at about 30 yrs old with a wife and children left. They say bad news comes in 3s and I guess that's true. No more sad news today, thank you.
I am off to have dinner with my former co-workers soon. Have a great rest of the day. Ann, hope your back is better and hope that power is restored soon.

So many stories flying through that I really don't know. Someone said that it was 'faulty' from the beginning due to a foul up with the wiring. National Grid has been here working on it all day long. It was on then it went off again and did that throughout the day.
Needless to say our stuffed peppers never happened. Those will wait until tomorrow.
Carl went to a local pizza joint here in town and that's what we had. It was tasty and fit the bill.
(((hugs))) Judy. So sorry to hear of all that sadness happening all at once. My grandmother always said things happen in 3's also. Prayers for all involved are being offered.
Now I am going to shut down and relax.
Sweet dreams all.
