Good morning friends. Slept well and grateful. I was not used to the pizza that we had last night and it 'spoke to me' during the night. I'm okay now and that's all that matters. It was all that cheese that got to me. Live and learn.
We did get to sit in the screen room last night. The full moon was absolutely beautiful. I nice ending to a rather hectic day.
Praying today will be back to my 'normal'
The stuffed peppers will happen tonight.
Waving and wishing all a wonderful peaceful and OP day.

Ann, it's so nice out, that's for sure. It tortures me to look out the windows to see students lounging on the lawns like the summer. I might walk over to the other building for a soft drink in a minute just to get out!
I had a nice dinner last night celebrating another friend's 65th birthday. We were at our usual haunt - the 99. I had a burger and salad and ate only half the bun. They brought out a big dessert with spoons to share. We had fun. We always do. Then, I was home in time to watch the dismal ending to the Red Sox game. I have a feeling their winning streak is over. We'll see and I am glad they got this far.
TTFN...

Hello friends!
I have good news to report: DH's foot had almost no discharge, so we are now scheduled for weekly cast changes. Only one trip per week as opposed to 5! I don't know what I'll do to fill all that free time, lol. We celebrated with lunch at our favorite Greek-Lebanese restaurant and I had enough leftovers for dinner tonight, plus hummus to snack on tomorrow.
Debbie and I walked early. Her DH was discharged and they came home, only to have issues with his PICC line this morning. They headed back to the hospital this afternoon and got it fixed and are home again. On my way back from our walk I stopped to visit with Dee for a bit, since she was sitting under her carport. She hasn't been feeling well due to seasonal sinus issues, something most, if not all of us can empathize with. Even so, after learning of Debbie and Pete's problems, she decided to cook gumbo and bring them some.
After DH's appointment, we picked up a prescription for him and a few groceries. DH decided to make crab and corn soup tomorrow night and we will share some with Debbie & her DH. He's the main cook in their household, so with him out of commission, we don't want them to starve, lol.
Once I got all the groceries put away, I paid a couple of bills and took them and little Leah's birthday card to the post office. On the way back, I stopped at the drive-thru car wash, since I still had an unused coupon. It only does a so-so job, but at least I have a clean windshield. I plan to get DGS to do a more thorough job later. He can always use gas money, now that he has his drivers' license.
I went to bible study last evening and we're watching The Chosen series. I missed the last 8 week session when they watched Season 1 and this time we're watching Season 2. I was so impressed with the quality of the writing, acting, etc. I came home and downloaded the free app and started watching Season 1. I watched 2 episodes last night, 1 this afternoon and 1 this evening while DH watched football on tv. Needless to say, I think it's a great depiction of Jesus and the disciples and I am most impressed that it is FREE.
Judy - So sorry to hear about your friends. I told DH this morning, it seems like all the news I get these days is of the sick, terminally ill and deceased. It gets downright depressing. Treasure those outings with friends!
Ann - I'm glad your power company got their issues resolved and you were able to enjoy your stuffed peppers. It's one of my favs.
Sue - I hear you on the dentists' scheming. So shady! And it seems nearly all do it. Our dentist for years probably saved us a lot of money, because he wasn't forever dreaming up new procedures. In fact, he would put in a temporary filling and tell me when it failed, I would have to get a crown and then leave them alone for years. My new dentist seems quite different, unfortunately.
Hope all is well and y'all have restful nights!
