My biggest problem is not being willing to cut back and having portion creep. I'm in an okay weight range but I stress a bit about my weigh-in at the WW meeting each week. It comes down to sabotaging thoughts and needing to work with them.

My body wanting to hang onto the weight. I am following the program but this is a setpoint and my body wants to stay here. That said, I could exercise and it might help but probably will just tough it out.

What is your biggest problem/issue right now with losing weight/maintaining a weight loss?
My biggest problem right now is continuing to deal with a peripheral vestibular weakness in my right ear, migraine related, diagnosed at Mayo Clinic in 1994. A whole foods diet is so important for this issue. My doctor wants me to limit my time on the computer to see if this is contributing to the issue which means giving up some of my online support groups.

mac I feel for you ❤️ That must be difficult to manage. Even though I believe that I’m truly living the maintenance lifestyle I find that I’m still looking for the “reward” of lower numbers in the scale . I’m trying to change my focus to NSV’s and credits for my achievements. I haven’t found a roadmap for maintenance mindset.

I let sabotaging thoughts in too frequently and so find myself constantly on or off plan. I think lately sugar and carbs are my nemesis and I need to strengthen the No choice thought process because I suffer from decision fatigue. When I stick to an narrow lane of healthy choices I’m fine and enjoy success. mac ,I hope you can find some relief. luvvinlife , interesting comments what’s NSV?

luvvinlife, lizlor, Thanks for your support, that's why I love this thread! I believe we have to change our mindset to achieve many things in life including losing weight and maintaining goal. It's not about the food. I ordered the Shift, will read it and come back to explain his thoughts. Anyone else reading the book?

lizlor, Non-scale victory, like at change of season your clothes from last year still fit if you are maintaining. luvvinlife, It takes time to get a maintenance mind set. It took me awhile to give up the thrill of a weight loss and call goal. Your thrill now is having maintained when you get on the scale for you weekly weigh-in. A lot of the mind set doesn't change because you still have to do everything you were doing while losing to maintain your weight.

lizlor, Non-Scale-Victories : It’s the things we notice outside of the number on the scale, that have a direct correlation to our weight management efforts. Things like looser clothing, stronger muscles, being able to “shop” in your closet, saying “No” to food pushers, fitting into seats on airplanes or public conveyances, people noticing the change without you having to tell them what you’re doing, etc. mac, I purchased it with my rewards points yesterday. I’m thinking it’s sort of on the same line as Beck? I’ll let you know what I think as soon I get it in my hot little hands. I did enjoy the video of his book-signing.

Ironically, my ability to have quite a bit of empty-calorie foods without doing any damage - for a while. I have enough wiggle room to enjoy some treats, but I always seem to test to the point of gain. Like I say, this is my reality and I'm OK with that being my big challenge. Eventually I cut back and the gain stops.

luvvinlife, I got my book with rewards points as well, I got my book about five days after I ordered it. Do come back after you read it so we can discuss it. There are coaches who are discussing it on Connect. I'm thinking about spending more time on WW Connect as people are so positive on there about WW.

I keep falling off the tracking wagon which leads to unplanned eating. I was doing great for a month or two and then BAM!
