Make sure that you check your privacy settings when you set up your account.
Click on profile, click on edit (on the top right), click on Privacy. Just a few items to adjust (email, birthday are the two important ones.)

Just a reminder this is an OPEN board, please be careful with what information you put out there. Especially with all the nut jobs searching the internet for personal information.
We value our members and don't want anyone to be a victim of identity theft or worse!

It appears to be spammer season! A huge shout out to itsrad for jumping on them before I'm even out of bed everyday. Don't forget ~ report report report, sometimes they get past us and we know how annoying seeing an ED post all day is ๐ just tap that button on the top right of the post and click "report post". Don't worry about giving a reason, we will know why. ๐ Also a gentle reminder, we are a public board. Please do not post any personal information. And if you see one and aren't sure if the person realizes this is an open board, please report it so Rad and I can deal with it. We all watch out for each other here. โค๏ธ It's a good idea to also remind friends and family that may be "internet challenged" that posting name, phone number, address, email, etc. on a public forum is never a good idea. โ๏ธ

Just to add on to what Deb is saying - never, ever, ever click on a link in a post. Many of the posts I'm deleting in the morning have links in them. Clicking on an unknown link is a surefire way to end up with a computer virus.
Just click on report. Don't assume someone else is reporting, it is okay to send multiple reports to Deb and I. The more the merrier, and it gets the spam all in one place so we can quickly deal with it.
