Good morning friends. Slept well, long and most grateful.
Today the only thing on the agenda is to stop by my hair salon and pick up mousse that Sherry ordered for me.
Other than that it'll be a day with as little drama as possible.
Chicken, French style green beans with mushrooms and a Rhodes French Roll are on the menu for supper. These past few days I've been eating richer foods and my tummy is rebelling.....
Waving and shall CBL

Took a great hood walk earlier, picked up the mousse from the hair salon and did a load of laundry. Now I'm going to land for a bit. Will CBL to see who pops in

Hey all!
It's a crisp and sunny fall day. Just lovely but a bit nippy. I wore my lightweight puffy jacket today. I am glad I picked it up from the Cape yesterday.
The inspection went very well. I really liked the guy and he was impressed with so many aspects of the house from the solid construction to the choices of furnaces, whole house dehumidifier, appliances, A/C, etc. All the important things as well as a stamp of high approval on construction and foundation, etc. It was worth the money to have him - it was quite spendy but compared to the cost of a new home, well worth the peace of mind since no one has ever lived in it. The main flaw he noted has to do with the inserts on the Anderson windows. He said they are not fitting right - no fault of the builder but it should be made right by Anderson. We paid a small fortune for all the windows. DH wanted extra big ones and many of them. We love them and want the mullions or whatever they are called to fit right. I had not even noticed it but it jumped right out to the inspector. He spent three hours going top to bottom - he was a funny - good humor - guy, too who is from Australia originally. Lives very close by. DH was so happy to hear all of it and we found out there is no Radon - another plus.
Friday, we will be moving stuff into the house - bedroom furniture, dining table and all we decide we want to keep plus the new living room furniture is arriving. DH and I both decided we want a new dining room set - just the table and chairs not a china cabinet. I have an antique one I love. I am just not sure yet where we will place things since it is all open. The rugs will be in place Friday, too.
I am getting a little anxious about my job. I hope I can work just one day in the office; otherwise, I am not sure I will stay. It's too much of a commute at 1.5 hours away! But, I promised my boss I would not up and quit abruptly. He needs me around a bit. We are also having big troubles filling jobs here as they are everywhere. I don't really get it. How are young people surviving without jobs? So many are choosing to just stay home. Once unemployment runs out in December, I think there will be a big shift back to work. I hope so. But, I am not convinced that is the whole reason for the shortage.
Ann, when will you get the Lyme Disease results? Thinking of you, and of Sue's friends with Covid. Our DGS in NJ is getting sicker with RSV so we are very worried about him. He is wheezing now. Ugh...poor baby. He's only 3 months. DDIL bought an infant pulse-oximeter so she keeps good tabs on him.
I'll pop in soon to check in with everyone again. Have a good one. Oh- I need a new book. I started a couple mysteries recommended by a colleague and they were too scary for me...real thriller types that I used to like. I've changed and I don't like the ones where women are abducted or kids are involved. I do love my mysteries so will stick to Elly Griffiths and such. Any recommendations?

Judy so happy to read about all the good things that are happening. sorry about the windows. I've only heard wonderful things about Anderson Windows so I'm sure they will do good by you. I am drawing a blank on mystery authors but will try to jolt my memory LOL...y'all know how that goes. 1.5 hr travel time is a bit much but I hear you on liking your boss and not wanting to leave him high and dry. I believe that the reason for so many not working are all the perks given to keep them home. Just my two cents worth for what it's worth. Have nothing to back it up! The gal that took my blood said that the Lyme test takes a good week....so I just 'sit and wait' it out. The rest of the blood work will be available in a day or so. Someone from the office will call with results. I'm not one of those that feels the need to know 'numbers'....all I want to hear is that all is well and I'm good Yes it was nippy early this morning on our walk, but I was dressed for it so it didn't bother me. I found it much cooler on Monday as we had wind along with the sun being in and out. Having a nice relaxing day. Will try to pop in later on. Waving

Good Afternoon, WW Friends ~
Happy Hump Day!! We have very cool weather and I also wore a puffy jacket today. I had a good day at work, then the principal asked me if I could sub until 4 (in the classroom I was already in) and I did.
We woke up early this morning and DH left bright and early, so I got out my Instant Pot and cooked some HB eggs and then some chicken breast tenders. I was glad I had supper started when I agreed to work late. I came home and lined a cookie sheet and filled it with butternut squash cubes and asparagus spears. I will roast them to have with chicken for supper.
I am planning to go to my class at the Fitness Studio tomorrow morning and then to school. I need to grocery shop, but haven't decided yet which day I will tackle that. May even wait until Friday?
Ann ~ I think a load of laundry and a walk and planning supper is plenty enough for one day <LOL>
Judy ~ How great to hear that your inspection went so well. I agree with Ann that I have heard good things about Andersen windows and I expect them to make good on your windows. My neighbor and I were just talking the other day about the horrible windows they put in our condos when they were built. She replaced hers shortly after she moved in; and we did ours too. We are ever so glad!
Pam ~ Thanks for the heads up on the "new WW program". I don't plan to get too excited about it either. I suspect it will automatically adjust online (as Ann said) and if not, I'm not worried about it. I think I'm just getting too old to deal with all that change.
I finally found the ad I've been watching for! Kroger is offering their holiday meals again this year. We bought our Thanksgiving dinner from them last year. Picked it up the afternoon before and then warmed what we needed. It serves 4-6 people so we had plenty of leftovers. Turkey, sweet potato souffle, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes & gravy, stuffing, rolls and pumpkin pie. We loved it last year so decided to go for it again this year. I am very excited!!
My GF texted me that she finished her monoclonal antibody infusion this afternoon and then was able to pick up her DH and bring him home. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers. I know she's delighted!!
BBL. Make a great day!!

Happy to hear good news regarding your friend.
Oh I bet it was fun to sub. I remember last time you weren't able to
Kudos on getting the all one and done turkey.
Yes walking and laundry did me in. Some days are like that.
Pam hope you and Debbie got your walk in.
Sweet dreams all.

Good evening!
Sue - That's great news about your friend and her DH! I'm sure they are thankful they were vaccinated.
Ann - I agree with Sue. We have plenty of chores/activities to fill our days and deserve our rest without guilt the remainder of the day.
Judy - Doing a happy dance for you and the house inspection! That was great news and I know a big relief to you and DH.
Debbie and I got a good, brisk walk in today. Tomorrow, she will be in NOLA caring for DGKs, so we will miss our walk. I am ready for a DOR anyway. Today, I messed around after our walk until it was too late to get my hospice visit in, so will do that Friday AM. I did go into town for groceries and DH's prescription. This afternoon, I did a little housework and made several batches of OO, as well as some apple crunch for tonight's dessert, which pleased DH. He does love his sweets, so I try to do some lf/sf desserts occasionally as a special treat. The rest of the day, I pretty much rested and read my book. My body said it was the thing to do and I listened, lol.
We face-timed with Madison and Leah this evening. M told me she will be getting a Covid shot on Sunday. Leah has the sniffles and had had a pre-bedtime dose of Benedryl, so didn't have much to say. We also received a card from Madison in the mail today and a copy of her school picture which was precious.
I'm going to read a bit and then turn in. DH has already gone to bed and I am jammified with a cup of bedtime tea at hand. Sweet dreams to all!
