Good morning WW friends. I slept very well and grateful. Today shall be another laid back day in the life.....
Will bundle up to walk unless it warms up. Right now temperature is holding steady at 27 it was 25 when I got up.
I'm sure it will take time to get used to the time change even though I started to alter my sleeping time.
Seems like fall brings on both tired and hungry feelings.....
Wishing all a wonderful peaceful and OP day.
Will CBL

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Sunday!! I also slept very well and woke feeling refreshed! We went to bed early despite the time change, and woke early this morning. That provided ample time for coffee and newspaper reading. The only day we get a paper print version is Sunday and my DH certainly does enjoy his newspaper. The other days he gets it digitally on his tablet, and still reads all he wants to. I love Sunday because he reads articles of interest to me aloud which I really enjoy!!
DH worked very late yesterday and was exhausted when he got home, but happy that he brought a big check home with him. That always has a way of cheering him up <LOL> I had grilled pork chops before he got home, as well as two turkey burgers and a package of beef brisket hot dogs. That enabled me to clean up the George Foreman and prep the sweet potatoes, green beans and NSA applesauce for supper. I packaged up the burgers and dogs for the refrigerator. I do like cooking several things on the George Foreman when I have it out; and frequently do the same thing with my Instant Pot. Saves time & energy!! Our supper was great! and we were both so full we didn't even have an ice cream treat in the evening. Plus all the clean-up was done before we ate, which really pleased me after dinner.
Ann ~ Thanks again for the reminder about the ibuprofen. My hip is all back to normal today. I did use the Homedics massager on it several times yesterday, and did some stretching. You are a lifesaver! I am so glad I thought to mention my hip pain to you, as you were a huge help!
I changed most of our clocks last evening before bedtime, so that we wouldn't experience any "sticker shock" when we woke up. It always surprises me how many clocks we have <LOL> But at least two of them (my iHome radio in my den and my under-the-counter radio in the kitchen) have a DST switch so all I have to do is push the button. Those are easy ......
We both enjoyed the Breakfast Casserole very much this morning! We didn't make it all summer, so we've missed it. So far I have packaged up the four remaining meals and have them ready to go in the freezer. I have done one load of laundry which is in the dryer and I will take the freezer stuff down when I go.
I have some free time this morning and then we will go to meet DBIL for lunch early afternoon.
BBL. Make a great day!!

Back from a 3 mile walk. It's wonderful walking weather. The sky is so pretty and the leaves that have fallen look wonderful on the ground. Just love the crisp smell of the air. I was a very happy camper walking around. Luckily not many people were out and about in the hood so we had the entire view to ourselves Win win. So happy you and DH enjoyed the breakfast casserole and your morning newspaper. Wonderful that DH reads articles out loud that he knows you'll enjoy. LOL to the big paycheck. I'm sure that really 'sweetens up the pot' not to mention the wallet LOL. And above all...no hip pain. Awesome that you are now back to your ol' self Enjoy lunch out with DBIL. We picked up PF Chang chicken fried rice along with Hannaford's crab Rangoons and also have some battered chicken tenders...that will make a good Chinese feast for supper. I have mine with the hot mustard sauce and Carl prefers duck sauce. Either way, we will both enjoy it I did one load of laundry and that's all the household chores that'll be done today. Waving...and will CBL

Just got back from yet another hood walk. It's just so beautiful out there that I wanted to take full advantage. Who knows how long this wonderful weather will last? Now, time to unwind and relax. If I don't make it back in the cafe will catch up tomorrow.

Hi All ~
We are back home as well. We met DBIL for lunch and another friend joined us as well, which was a surprise. We haven't seen him for a while, so when he heard that we meet there on Sunday he made a point to meet up with us. It was great to see him after a long six months absence.
Since we've been home DH has cleaned out the garage and put away all our front porch furniture for the season. We also packed up all of my wind chimes in a special box for next year. We have left the remainder of the patio furniture out in case we decide to use the fire pit. But DH prepared a place for the 2 chairs and 2 tables and fire pit. I may get a walk in while DH goes to Kroger, but we'll see.
Have a wonderful evening and sweet dreams ......

Hey all, We have just had three productive but exhausting days. We are in the house, the beds are in and the new furniture arrived. I’ve spent hours and hours going through the boxes that have been stacked in the basement by the movers searching and unpacking. I started with my kitchen items and managed to find enough dishes and utensils to cook breakfast this morning! I’ve gone a little crazy searching for my Brevell toaster oven. It is nowhere to be found as far as I can see but there are so many boxes that I am sure I will find it somewhere. Baby steps. I need to keep that in mind because moving can be so overwhelming. I swear I never want to go through this again. DH has been working hard and has a lot of things to take to the dump. I think I unpacked about 20 or so boxes at least. I’ve lost track.
Our new rugs arrived and they’re just beautiful, but we’ve decided we need a bigger rug for our living room area. We are going to keep the smaller one and we have a larger one coming on Saturday. I also have a consultation with someone about what types of window treatments to put across the sliders and other windows. I thought I could save money and do it on my own and I may still do that but I’d like to get the ideas from the expert at the Shade store. I have a virtual consultation tomorrow. I swear that this is a full-time job getting this house in order. Yesterday I spent a couple hours and A bunch of money at Walmart just getting items we needed for cleaning some stuff along with lots of other items. I can’t even remember what they are now but I know that they were a few hundred dollars! Ha ha. We will get there. We both really love the house and DH is just thrilled. We had trouble getting the washing machine going because of some new code with larger shut off valves, but the electrician showed up yesterday and fixed that for us. We still need to have an adjustment made because there’s something wrong with the outlet by the washer.
The more I dig through those boxes the more I realize how much stuff as to go still. We just have too much. We did empty out one complete Connex storage unit so that’s good. There is still one more with all of my parents antiques. There just is not room in this house for all that stuff. I have chosen a few marble tables and small side tables that I love and I’ll take a closer look in the other storage unit as time goes on. Our goal is to clear that one out after the holidays.
I received good news for both of our kids and family from New Jersey will be here for Thanksgiving. Unfortunately our grandkids in California will be with her who shall not be named but DD is thrilled to be coming on her own. We are going to fly to California to spend the holidays with them. This is the year she will have them for Christmas and next year she will not so we feel we really want to go. I have to check flights tomorrow. It just too expensive for her to fly out with the kids and better that we go there. Besides, kids really like to be in their own home for Christmas. They will be up in the summer I hope.
I think I told you that my boss was either having a bad day or a change of heart about his willingness to let me work more days remotely. He didn’t come out and say it but he acted a little put out when I mentioned 1 to 2 days. It’s funny because the day before he was pretty much begging me not to leave. He said he wanted to work out whatever arrangement we could. I think he is under an off a lot of pressure right now and it’s possible that my news of leaving was just the straw that broke the camels back that day. He’s on the West Coast traveling now and probably by the time he gets back things will be fine. Human resources wants to talk to me this week they were very positive about me working remotely full-time! Talk about mixed signals, but in the end I think my boss will have the final say. Besides, I really don’t want to work for someone who is not happy with the arrangement. That would not be good for either one of us. There are several people on our staff who work completely remote or one day in the office, but my situation is different and supporting him solely at his level as a VP with so much on his plate. He loves having a gatekeeper even if no 9ne is in the office! Ha.Maybe the higher powers are telling me that it’s a good time to retire. If I’m repeating stuff that I already told you, I apologize. It’s been a long few days.
Off to bed. Oh, DH and I were at home goods the other night buying mattress pads quilts and new pillows. It’s just like being a newlywed in some ways. A lot of our stuff was getting pretty tired and we hated to bring it into a brand new house. It’s a good time to start fresh. I earned so many points at Macy’s with the new carpets but I was able to buy many sets of Martha Stewart new bath towels so my linen closet is filled with nice new fluffy towels. Some of our towels for getting pretty worn too. I’m not always great at replacing that stuff. I think of you, Sue. I probably could use a good dose of your organization and sense of decorating style. Have a good night everyone. I plan to work from here tomorrow and fill in some unpacking as the day goes on. Then I will drive back to the hotel for tomorrow night, have a crown at the dentist on Tuesday and work in the office for a bit and then come back here for the remainder of the week. We plan to officially vacate the hotel on Friday. I have to pack up my remaining stuff on Wednesday and DH will stay there a couple nights since it’s so much easier from work for him.
Good night all for the second time!
