Linda, I have never been able to find the cider donuts at TJ's. They are always sold out when I go. Good luck to Bob on his "fun week". I hope he doesn't gain it all back this week. I hope you avoided and won't have a bad scale day tomorrow. I've only gained back 1 lb since I was ale to start eating regularly, so not bad.
Great to hear from you, Becky. Sorry about the IBS flare, but that all that sitting probably had an effect. Are you splitting your time between two churches now? You're right about the divergent paths of the Aggies and the Horns this year. Sometimes Texas shows glimpses of brilliance and then there are games like Saturday. You've had some chilly mornings. We have as well, but you're warming up in the afternoons more than we are.
Chele, what's on the menu for the week at your house? I made a lentil vegan Shepherd's pie yesterday and it came out a little dry, but not bad. Your Thanksgiving dinner contributions sound tasty, especially the baked one. We have a few clocks in the house that don't change automatically, plus I'll have to manually set the one in the Element. Everything is done except the Element and I don't need to hurry on that because Dale has an appointment next weekend for new tie rods and it won't be driven until then.
The new avatar was taken on English Mountain, Kathy. We're pretty much at peak here, but the higher elevations are past. We have so many evergreens on our property that we still have more green. It's a shame you had to miss the UCF game, since they won. Did you at least get to see highlights? TN has won 5 games and should beat Vandy, making them bowl eligible. I'm a bit concerned about TX, however. Clemson should get to 7 or 8 wins, but still just a shadow of their former team. Did you catch Doctor Who?
Liz, I hope you get all the PRs finished and things won't be too brutal. How's Zoe doing?
Still nothing from the vet, but the place on Arya's leg looks smaller. We're hopeful it was just an injury. Typical Monday here with cleaning and laundry. We had another low in the 30s, but it's currently 67°. Cold weather coming at the end of the week, just in time for the MG fence staining party on Saturday. The tomato plants are history and the soaker hoses are all taken care of. At some point, I need to spread out what's left of the straw bales, which isn't much. There definitely isn't enough to use for next year's garden.

Karen, our trees that change haven't even started yet. I saw a bit of the UCF game during commercials and halftime during the FSU game. I just didn't see the end where they pulled it out which was probably the best part. FSU has Miami, UF and Boston College to go and would have to win them all to get to a bowl. It's doable but doubtful that they could win all there of those. Maybe they'll surprise me. Yes, I saw Doctor Who and thought it was another good episode. Did you watch it yet? Hoping for good news for Arya. It's 70 here, so not too much warmer than you. We're supposed to get down to the 50s again tonight.
Waving to everyone. Have a good Monday.

Pretty picture, Karen.
we weighed today..he gained 1.5. And I was same as before in spite of lot of carbs day before. My clothes are looser. So I guess I lost another pound and put back a temp pound yesterday ! So that is 7 in 11 weeks. Phew.
Drove over to Phoenix for lunch with old colleague on streets because The freeways are nuts. Took 50 minutes each way. She lives on west side of city, is in her 89s, had a stroke and easily confused. Had not driven in a while and got temporarily lost, left late and went to wrong place to meet me ..called DH who told me. Sigh. She gets to be ok after talking for an hour and does not want me driving further to be closer. Last time in spring the patio there has nice plastic shields between tables. They took them down and you have people two feet away…where we have the highest rate of transmission Nationally. No masks on servers. Next time we will sit at umbrella tables on the side…farther apart. Do they lose business protecting people because the nasty ones object to other people being safe even when they are maskless?
waiting for sundown to walk dog. Very intense sun drives up temp actual with weather in 80s in shade. Black dog overheats.
