Good morning friends. Slept well, woke up early but feeling refreshed. My eyeglasses finally came in so will be picking them up at some point today.
Other than that, nothing much going on here.
I'm slowly pecking along with the new changes on WW site.
Wishing all a peaceful and OP day and will TRY to pop in later

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Hump Day!! We have a chilly 33 dg this morning, so I guess Autumn is really here! I went to my Fitness class yesterday morning, then worked my shift at school, then took a walk when I got home. I also switched out the toppers on all my windows for the Fall/Winter season. I had completely forgotten about it until yesterday morning, so I got them out where I'd see them when I walked in the door from school, and sure enough it worked! I had forgotten them, but saw them first thing and got it done right away.
Ann ~ Glad you're feeling better. It is good to have you back! Hope the WW app settles in and you can become comfortable with it.
I heeded your note that the new WW Program was having issues with Android, so instead of installing it on my laptop, I went right to my Apple iPhone and did it that way. Mine worked like a charm. Can't say yet if I love it or hate it, but it is what it is. I don't think any of us are ever especially pleased with the changes??
Judy ~ Congrats on your move-in, and this week you will have it all! I know you won't miss that hotel. I was very surprised that your modem would not work with a PC?? I have downsized to a laptop on my desk, as I got tired of hauling my desk top into the Shop when it needed something (even though that was rare). So when I needed to replace it, I asked my guy for a laptop and he came through for me (again) and I've been happy with this one ever since.
Pam ~ I had to chuckle about the junk mail that accumulates on the counter top, as the same thing happens at our house. Especially now when we're receiving mailers from every insurance carrier in the world! We are perfectly happy with our current coverage, and have no desire to change it. I am so sorry about the snafu for your family holiday! While it is impossible not to understand your DD's reluctance, it is still sad to have a family divided! I am totally with you in hating this virus!! It looks to me like I have to add the veggies manually with the plus sign next to the word?
My DH had a cardiology appointment for a regular check up yesterday, and this time everything was exactly as the Dr. wanted in regards BP, pulse, oxygen sat, etc. He did change one medication which we were pretty sure was causing him an undesirable side effect (per the pharmacist) and picked it up yesterday and waiting to see how it works. He goes back in two weeks for a follow-up check.
The sun is shining this morning which is a dramatic improvement from yesterday when it stayed grey and dreary all day. I hope to get another walk in this afternoon.
BBL. Make a great day!!

Hey friends,
I am back in the office today from the hotel. Lots going on but as I keep telling myself...baby steps! Otherwise, I would be so overwhelmed that I wouldn't get out of bed in the morning.
I met with HR today. Our university policy is VERY flexible. He suggested I work full time remotely and come in one day a month. I am not sure that will fly with my boss, but we (our HR Director and I) talked about an end date for me at the close of our fiscal year in May. He said it so hard to hire anyone now that even if they started a search in January, it'd be unlikely they'd fill it by April. He also said we have a great many staff members working from home and he sees it as a non-issue. He wants me to approach my boss with these ideas and see where it goes. If my boss insists I come in more often, then I'll have to choose other options. We'll see. It depends on his mood. :-)
We will move out of the hotel on Friday morning. I have more stuff there than I'd like since we have been there over a month. It'll be so good to avoid those high costs and be in ONE place. It'll be weird to not have to go back and forth all the time, but such a welcome change.
I have to investigate the WW changes when I have some time. No rush there either...
I am knitting with my buddy at noon today. I haven't touched my project in over a year! The ukulele took precedence and I played last night. I love it.
TTFN...have a great day! Oh, Ann, what results did you get from the Lyme Disease test?

Very pleased with my glasses. The commute there and back was horrible as they are doing road work all over the place. I would NOT want to be a police officer trying to direct traffic. I'm happy to be home and going to relax for the rest of the day. My nerves are frayed. Judy happy you spoke with HR and I'm sure that will be fine with your boss. No results from the Lyme test. I'm still NOT patiently waiting LOL...but it is what it is. Yeah to moving out of the hotel and HOME...that 4 letter word has a nice ring to it Thanks Sue...it does feel good to be 'back'. I'm slowly getting used to the WW app and all the changes. I basically eat the same things so there's that. I will go along with it for now. I track online but I have always been a paper tracker and that's where I also write down my thoughts and such. What happened was I couldn't add my steps and kept getting the same message of you are not moving enough...good grief. Finally it is working. Still can't sync my Garmin vivofit and I'm fine with that. Half the time it wasn't accurate on the WW site anyway. So happy DH had such wonderful doctor appointment and that he is pleased with all the results Going to sit back and enjoy a coffee. Waving to Pam and if I don't get back today will see y'all tomorrow.

Hello friends!
In spite of my foot giving me heck, Debbie and I have managed to get our walks done. My New Balance walking shoes are about the only shoes I can wear and not be in pain. Needless to say, that doesn't work well when it's time to dress up. I sang in the choir at a funeral today and managed to find a pair of suede slip-ons that were not high fashion, but did okay with black slacks.
The new WW app and I are learning our way around each other. I am already thinking the 60 oz. of water is too much even for a big water drinker. I also like my coffee and may count that. Otherwise, squeezing in 60 oz. in the afternoon/evening will keep me up going to the bathroom all night, lol. I will say that I am now under goal at my daily WIs, so that is good. My veggie intake had fallen off somewhat and that is back up where it should be. As always with a new WW program, I will try it for a couple weeks and then tweak it to something I can live with that will maintain my weight goal. This morning I had cherry almond OO and leftover shrimp & veggies with a little whole wheat pasta and some applesauce for lunch. Dinner will be baked pork chops, sweet potatoes and cabbage of some variety.
It is warm today (75) with a cold front scheduled to come through by lunchtime tomorrow. They predict lows in the 30's by the weekend. I pretty much finished picking pecans for this year yesterday afternoon. This afternoon, I will try to get some weeding done in the garden and get beets and carrots planted and hope it rains some with the cold front. I am also slowly getting the sweet potatoes dug. Lots of work for very little payoff. So far only 3 potatoes worth keeping.
DH's wound had leaked through the cast with the extra day's wait to get a cast change. However, we were pleased that the wound has shrunk some. At this point, we'll take a positive sign of any kind!
I appreciate your kind thoughts about our rift with DD3. I plan to call her this afternoon and try to smooth things over some. I doubt they will change their minds about Christmas and that's okay. I just don't want her to feel estranged from her family as we love her and miss her. It is hard enough with her living so far away.
Judy- I hope your boss is okay with the one day a month. Even if he's not, I would hope he would agree at least through winter when travel is so hazardous. If you retire in the spring and still want to work some, I'm sure there will be opportunities in your new community.
Sue - I love hearing about your seasonal decorating changes. Glad your DH's appointment went well.
Ann - Glad your glasses are what you wanted. I hear you about the traffic! BTR has some of the worst which makes any necessary trips a pain in the you-know-what.
Hope you all have a great day!

Pam so happy that you got your walk in even with a sore foot. Nothing like a good pair of walking shoes. In the summer when I wear sandals I can really 'feel' the difference. Now it's not sandal weather LOL so I don't have to worry Like you there hasn't been a WW program that I haven't 'tweaked' to my liking. I'm somewhat okay with it all....It's just a royal PITA to enter the entire NI to find points. I wonder if they are going to sell those little hand held calculators? I don't use the scan on my phone. I tried to 'get it' to work several times and just not for me. I had my other pair of glasses adjusted...now I can SEE as good as I can see out of both. I feel blessed Just came back from my final walk of the day. Carl will take Benjamin one last time. I'm already jammified and going to read a bit before supper. Sweet dreams all

Hey friends, I decided to go ahead and sign up again for WW. I have two free months and some perks. I’d rather be in from the get go on the new plan in case I have questions. No time like the present and we’ll be shopping and cooking soon! I spent a few hours online looking at more window treatments between Roman shades, black out curtains and so forth and all I get is more confused the more I look! I did a couple of chats with more people and decided to have someone come out and do a consultation to give me some ideas. A local place offers a free consultation. When the kids are here for Thanksgiving, will just have to darken the windows at night in some kind of a compromising way! I remember my son put big black garbage bags over the window while waiting for the drapery to get delivered! Whatever works because I don’t want to rush it right now. we’ll see what my boss says so I guess that will be the deciding factor. If he feels he needs someone in the office three days a week as we’ve been doing, then he’ll have to find a new person. I just won’t be able to make that kind of a commute.
Have a good night everyone I’m off to watch an episode of Shetland on my Acorn TV on my iPad. One more day in the office and then will be back at the Cape until Monday.

Pam, I’m glad your husband’s world is shrinking. That’s always great news!
Ann, There’s nothing like a new pair of glasses to make you feel good. I love getting them!
Sue, I found it odd that the PC wouldn’t work with the new high-speed Super Duper modem. This modem with Wi-Fi version 6 just came out recently and I guess it’s been an issue with a lot of PCs. My laptop from work is a pretty new version so it does seem crazy but it won’t connect to this modem but that’s what the experts are telling me. It’s always something! For some reason, Apple products seem to be much easier when it comes to upgrade other equipment.
Oh, I have some interesting news about my hairdresser/2nd daughter but I don’t want to put it here. It’s quite a tale and almost unbelievable. I’ll send a private message.
