Good morning all and wishing all that served and are serving a wonderful day. A thanks to all.
We shall be taking advantage of a generous discount at Hannaford's for Veteran's Day. I have my list and we'll also pick up a rotisserie chicken and a few sides so no cooking involved Loving the sound of that one. Win win with little clean up as well.
Other than that, we plan on a quiet day spent at home.
Judy happy that you have come to a 'working decision' that works for YOU. Glad that you have signed up for weight watchers. I'm still playing around with the app. I basically eat the same foods for breakfast and lunch so it's just supper that changes and I'm okay with it so far.
Looking forward to hearing about the 'hairdresser' story.
Waving and shall CBL

Hey Ann and friends,
Thanks for getting us going today, Ann. I'm in the office again and it's very quiet with my boss in CA and a lot of folks working from home. It's peaceful and I can get a lot done. I hope my new plan for WFH works, Ann. Nothing confirmed yet. HR is all for it, but I guess it depends upon my boss and his willingness to go along with it. If he doesn't, I will have to say sayonara, I think. I am not going to commute 85 miles one way 3 days a week. That's just nuts.
Thinking of all my relatives who served in the military today and especially my Uncle Jim who made the ultimate sacrifice in WWII. He ran over a land mine while driving a jeep in Italy at the end of WWII. He was an officer who had been through the worst of the North African campaign. The war was pretty much over when he was killed. So sad. We still have all the letters from his "men" talking about how great a leader he was. Handsome guy and my son looks just like him. Thank you to Carl, too, Ann for his service. My neighbor at the Cape was a Navy Seal. He's still a very strong guy battling cancer and other things and doing pretty well. He never gives up!
I will be doing more investigating with my WW app to learn about my personal plan. I would rather be in on it from the get go when we are all learning. Plus, I got free months.
Tonight is our last night in the hotel for a while! I did talk to the manager who told me that if I decide to come up and work and need an overnight, she'd give me a smokin' deal on a room and let me bring the dogs in early. Can't beat that. Also, when we go to CA in December, we are going to board them at our usual spot. So, we will drive up and drop them off and then stay at "our" hotel so that we can leave our car here for the week and get a ride via the usual van service to the airport. Traveling to Logan/Boston airport is not as easy from the Cape. We have not found a limo/van service yet. The hotel manager okayed our leaving our car at the hotel during our vacation in CA. Then we'll can pick up the dogs and go "home" to the Cape much easier when we return. Traveling lightly will be the name of the game for us.
I hope everyone has a nice day and I'll drop in soon.
