Nothing much going on around here. Temps are dropping and we've had snow showers off/on all day. Nothing sticking to the streets.
I read all the discussion about clogs and have had pairs of them with no problems. Many of the nurses wear the Dansko clogs and others that have to be on their feet all day. Say they're very comfortable. My DD has a pair and has never said anything about sliding out of them or causing her any problems.
Noticed a lot of shortages on the shelves today. Signs on the shelves saying that shipments of things are not coming in. I especially noticed pet and bird seed, paper products but not TP, cleaning products. Doesn't seem to be a shortage of toys on the shelves or Christmas decorations.
I got lazy about mid afternoon and sat in my chair reading. Should have been doing some sewing or something but just didn't feel like it. Usually get some energy after supper and will work on a quilt top then.
Stay warm everyone in the north and you people in the south send some heat our way.

Betty, interesting your experience in the grocery store. I don't have to go until first of week. Will be interesting to see how things are progressing. I do to a small grocery store near me. When is your anniversary, you didn't say? Maybe you don't want us to mention it and that is okay too. !! A lot of nurses around here wear either Crocs or New Balance exercise shoes. I never had a problem with clogs either but this summer they really gave me trouble. It was pretty obvious I should give them up. Looked at winter boots in my favorite book catalog but do want to check out our Shoe Sensation first.
I cleaned my shower doors today. Needed the heavy duty cleaner. Spray, let sit and wipe off. Had to do it twice, that soap film is a tough one when I let it go. I do wipe down the shower when I am done but have been lax about cleaning better. A job I hate but glad it is done and looks very good. Hooray. I used to take the doors off and that was lot easier but they are too heavy for me now days.
Snow tonight but think the accumulation will be north of us this time. Up where I was born and raised NorthEast of where I live now. One year , think I was 10, we had a sledding birthday party. Winters have gotten a bit milder and later in the season now days.
Full moon tonight, really gorgeous, but clouds moving in so maybe not see the eclipse.

Sending virtual heat to you. Best I can do.
Dashed off to a little pet place by SAfeway for Micki's fish oil. Was greeted enthusiastically by a yellow lab who heard me when owner in the back did not. I like to give business to local places. Then a lot of stop with some good coupons and sales so I have everything for Thanksgiving. They were already low on Pillsbury pie crusts. We pick up the Turkey Tuesday from Hansenās ā¦branch here, the main is in MN. Then I gritted teeth, replaced the dead light net and put up the rest on the big hibiscus and the three smaller shrubs between the garage and walk to front door. Phew. A pair of Clarks to try was delivered then and the driver was excited about lights.
Off to walk dog and then do his dinner and shot.

hi owls, JUST be careful of flip flops, we know several ladies who's foot have slipped off and they sprained/broke their ankle.so easy to lose our balance at our age.
sew day was ok,for some reason I could not get my machine t o unlock .took me about an hour to get it going, looked through my manual and finally got it unlocked. I must have used the stop/start button one day and that lock it more.
then I kept dropping stuff, one project seemed to be going well and when I turned it over not,I kept telling BARB and Nita,I should have stayed home..lol
Betty did you find your stocking hat??phyl

Hello everyone
The only place to decorate is inside the fireplace. I have battery candles, greenery, Christmas big bulbs, pine cones and 2 strings of battery tiny white lights intertwined. I need batteries for the candles. All of them wonāt lite anymore. They are on a timers to go on for 4 hours every evening. So pretty. We will get them tomorrow at Samās club. The candles and greenery I keep in there all year. Add the rest at Christmas.
Our area has so many no burn days set by the city we stopped having wood fires. Didnāt want to get the gas logs because the flu will be soddered open. Then I would need to keep the glass doors closed all the time. Love the doors open. We had chimney professionally cleaned about 5 years ago and never had another fire. Soooo did the candles. I actually like it better.
I still feel really good. Yay.
The endocrinologist still has not contacted me regarding the biopsy results. Most likely she will contact me soon. The genetic biopsy result has not come in yet. She might be waiting for that.
I have an appointment with my GP on Tuesday. He will discuss the biopsy with me.
My lip is looking good. Almost totally healed. Hopefully no chapping starts up.
Be back after dinner.

Some days are like that, aren,t they, Phyl? I have a friend who did a nasty number on her ankle in Hawaii and was air-evacuated himeā¦flip flops. She had special insurance. We have it too but no travel now.
Mar, no burn constantly here and got tired of fireplace ckeaning.so I have a special stand in there that holds candles.
Connie, wondering about the eclipse too..right now an off yellow big moon.

Anyone remember when "flip-flops" were called "thongs"?
Wish I could wear clogs, I have a high instep, only tried the brand my RN DIL wears,
she thought I would like them to slip on to go to mailbox etc...don't remember the brand,
I returned them.

I slide down in clogs and put pressure on my toes. Gave up years ago.
Patti, I had a discussion once with a class of sophomores who insisted things were underwear. Yes I remember thing sandals which often had a back strap.

"Thongs" I remember had the piece between the great toe and second toe - no straps....came in rubber and dressier pairs in leather...doubt I could tolerate the piece between the toes today. The rubber ones were often used as shower shoes when traveling... Thong undies look useless to me.
