So broke my record on time of getting up this morning - 2:30! Not sure why but woke and just couldnāt get back to sleep. So got dressed, took the dogs out - they actually woke up when I opened the blinds - saw the eclipse was almost full and very pretty, more pink than red. Tried to take a picture to show Fred later but for some reason the pictures were very grainy so deleted them. Strange as everything in the yard was very clear but nothing in the sky even though the stars were very bright. But I did go back out on my own at 3:02 and saw the full eclipse. Maybe my getting up so early was my bodyās way of making sure I didnāt miss this once in a lifetime event!
I just went back outside to see if the eclipse was over and it is but I could not get over how brilliant the moon is and it actually looks bigger than it was during the eclipse! So glad I could witness the difference during the eclipse and after.

Sandy Iām glad you were able to see the eclipse. I was sound asleep.
This morning I am hoping Shragae is doing well. Also Geri. She seemed to post that she was not well.
Iām taking Don out to Rt 91 to the Illinois Eye Center which is about a 50 minute trip for us. I was able to get him in to see a glaucoma specialist since he hasnāt been checked for a while. Subsequent visits will be in an office closer but I felt he needed to be seen. That will put a big hole in our day.

Thatās the group we use. Our doctor is Tom Kirchgessner. But heās not a glaucoma specialist. What I really like is they donāt have you just sitting and waiting as we are always seen right on time.

Good morning. I guess I could have looked for the eclipse since I was awake at that time. I slept,then awake for an hour , then slept again. My leg was hurting. I think it was from the line dancing. Even though it is easy I am happy to be doing it.
Monday is the anniversary of Donās death. I will be playing bridge so I am glad of that. How could it be 3 years and I know his children and grands will have no thoughts of this. He was a good man. I will go to the cemetery on Thanksgiving .

Sandy if you get new glasses do you get them there or somewhere else?
I am asking for ideas for a savory, not sweet, breakfast. Iām getting very tired of oatmeal. This morning Iām actually eating leftover spaghetti for breakfast. Iād like to limit eggs due to cholesterol but I do eat them occasionally.

Good Morning! Just a quick hello before I head to my 2nd yoga class. The weather is better today so I will get a nice long walk in. I skipped my walk yesterday due to rain and did SS Zumba Gold instead. Down one more lb to 138. I think the food tracking and building my meals around protein is making a huge difference for me. Sandy, How awesome that you got to see the lunar eclipse. I woke up around 5 and saw clouds and hints of the full moon in one portion of the break in clouds and a beam of light through another portion. It was so cool! Sharon, Good luck to Don with his eye dr appt. Good thing you won't have to drive that far for future appointments. At least the traffic won't be as heavy as it would have been in FL. Good morning all.
Not much going on here today except they're working on the master bath and the plumber is supposed to come sometime today. Normally they don't work on Fridays since they work 10 hour days M-Th but they're working today to try to catch us up with the remodel. Looks like my "back to Jesus" talk paid off.
Sandy, I would have loved to see the lunar eclipse. I'm glad you got to see it.
Jane, so sorry your leg was hurting. I hope it feels better now.
Sharon, have you tried a savory bagel with veggie cream cheese for breakfast? Or maybe a breakfast sandwich?

Well I have found my notebooks full of line dance step sheets. But today is a gospel music day it seems. The GaithersmVocal Band will be in ft Myers in January. The last concert tickets I purchased for Don and me was for them and he passed away before that concert and my cousin Donna came from Naples and went with me. I would love to go in January but wonāt because it is too hard for me to navigate. I donāt drive that far at night. Tickets are general admission so people line up hours before and even with the walker I canāt do that. So listening to their music because I have many CDs Donna is not coming to Naples due to her DHhealth so canāt go this time.
Ruth congrats on your loss. Weather does add to my aches I did take Tylenol before the line dance and took the Tylenol PM when I was up in middle of night.

My covid and flu test were negative. I finally got meds at noon. Sleeping on and off. I did wake last night and stepped out to see 5he eclipse.

Hope Shragaes surgery went well. How great that part over with. Sheāll be on the mend in no time!
Sandy, so great that you got to see the eclipse. Just curious what time you get to sleep at night in order to function all day from 2 or 3 am.
Geri, sorry to hear that you havenāt felt well. I hope the worst is behind you and youāll be back in action soon.
Vicki, it sounds like such good progress since you lit a fire under those workmen.
Ruth, I had some luck at Marshallās on Monday. I wanted a pair of very warm insulated gloves. There was a $42 pair of āHurleyā gloves for $12.99. They have the belt around the wrist that tightens to keep the snow out. Majority of you donāt need to even think of warm gloves, I know. Also, found an adorable toy for DSās dog, for Christmas.
Iāve also been checking Macyās on line sales daily and got a fleece vest, fleece shirt, 2 fleece yoga pants and 2 pair of leggings all for $10 each. Theyāre all Karen Scott or Style & Co, stuff to wear and stay warm around the house.
Today was productive. I was up an out at 9 am after my Celery Juice & Blueberries. Yoga at the Senior Center was at 9:30 am and then Drumming was at 11-12. Itās such fun. Buzzed over to the Dollar Store and then got to the Y in time to eat my thermos of soup before SenĆor Fitness at 1pm. Itās such a good class. After class a quick stop at TJs and then home. No salt or pepper grinders at TJs. Just when I was going to stock up.
Tonight I made the baked eggplant and cooked some gf rigatoni I got from the Italian Specialty shop nearby. Delicious!
3 DGKs have arrived. DGD wants a kale shake. Have a great night!

Good evening! My hair was cut, I walked and went to the gym, and my house was cleaned. I am one happy camper! I am still working on getting my car registered in SC, but I now know exactly what needs to be done. Respectful, knowledgable people on the phone to help me and I am grateful for that as we all know that is not always the case.
Gosh darn it, I did not even know there was going to be a partial eclipse last night, the longest in many a lifetime. I would have set my alarm to see it. Just looked at some of the photographs. Beautiful. I have seen total lunar eclipses, but none lasted that long. I envy you, Sandy and Geri.
Jane, I know you are feeling good about doing the line dancing.
Yay for the additional loss, Ruth! For me it is that fiber (fruit and non-starchy veggies) makes up a huge portion of my intake that helps me maintain. I saw the full moon too and it was gorgeous.
Yes, Vicki, that speaking to you gave certainly did the trick!
So glad the tests were negative, Geri. Feel better.
I went out to dinner with my neighbor. Not a great place but it was fun. We laid our souls bare. Talking about feminine health issues we have gone through and, well, everything. I called her to say I had not talked about so many of those things with anyone and we both laughed.
Tomorrow is a breakfast with a group, then DD and I are going to Beaufort, a city on the water. Looking forward to that. I need a warmer jacket and hope they have women's clothing stores there. It'll be the first time I will spend with her alone in ages. DGD is going to see a football game and DSIL is going to AL to pick up DGS from college.

Ruth thanks for the breakfast link. Vicki I like the idea of bagel and vegan cream cheese. I havenāt tried that type of item before. Have used vegan sour cream in recipes. Sadly they are not a good source of protein like real dairy. But I do what I can.
Iām tired tonight from Donās long eye doctor visit. They had warned us it would be two hours of tests. They did dilate his eyes so I was there to drive home.
Odd but my tummy is bloated tonight. Iām trying to figure out why.
