Thanks for the start, Chele. You were up and at 'em early this morning. Going to YS? I'll bet your temp was pretty cold this morning because we were in the upper 20s. Will you wait til Tuesday or Wednesday to do the baguettes? We had our first downy woodpecker at the suet block this morning. I keep waiting to see if one of the doves is going to try to land on it. The feeders have been busy today.
Linda, sorry the shoes need to be exchanged for a larger size. Hopefully that will work. Glad the Christmas gift will be useable. It sounds cozy. The weight loss has probably made it a little larger than it might have otherwise been. Good idea to have the "I'm wearing smaller clothes" discussion.
Your games don't conflict today, Kathy, but will you be able to see your Noles? Best of luck to both your teams. I have 2 games at Noon and 1 at 3:30. I'm really torn on the Wake Forest/Clemson game because we watch both of them.TN plays at 7:30 but it's South Alabama and the Vols should be able to wipe them off the field (but I've been wrong before), so it may not be worth watching. If Texas doesn't win today, there will be no bowling for them. There could be openings for some assistant coaches at the end of this season. Did you have another cold morning?
Liz, hope Zoe is improving and you will have a quiet weekend.
Busy day here so far. I had the bed changed and laundry in process before 6:30. My hope was that Arya would sleep a bit longer, but you can't always get what you want. The IP has been busy with eggs, oats, and Arya's pilaf for dinners. I decided to save myself a little work and just thaw veggies for her dinners instead of doing all that microwaving. She gets broccoli, carrots, green beans, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, spinach, green peas, home grown squash, and lima beans, so it takes a while to get all those even minimally cooked. It definitely didn't take as long this morning without having to do all that extra cooking. She has enough in the freezer to last until late December. I ordered a new 8 qt Instant Pot last night that will be here on Tuesday. It was paid for with gift cards that I earned through Humana's wellness program where I get points for workouts, volunteering with MGs, and medical screenings--things I'm already doing anyway. My 6 qt IP is about 5 years old and every once in a while it has a hiccup; so this will not only allow me to do 2 things at once, but also will give me a back up if the older one gives at at some point in the future. And, when I make a lot of something like soup or spaghetti sauce, I won't have to worry about over filling. Dale got an early start (car appointment was 8 am and he told them what the problem was but they didn't order the parts š” so he has to go back next week). He'll be gone most of the day. He was going to pick up dinner at Salsarita's but they aren't accepting online orders today--again!! I hope they can get their staffing issue resolved. They didn't have this problem during lockdown. So it will be falafel sandwiches for dinner this evening. A good choice, but we don't have many leftovers. Happy Weekend to All!

Wow, what a lot of gassy food. No dog farts? It would do a number on me.
We have a lot of smaller places that do not answer the phone for lack of staff. They want you to online order and pay with credit. Everywhere there are hiring signs. AZ used to get away with crap wages because of so many immigrants, especially in hotels and resorts and agriculture. Between the COVID change and lack of immigrants, things are tough. You would think Republicans here who are so vocal on the subject and business- pro would figure that out.

Chele, thanks for the early start. Did you watch the Ohio State game? They crushed a good Michigan State team!
Karen, the colder temps aren't arriving until next week. The FSU players looked kind of chilly up in Boston. I noticed the QB had a hand warmer. FSU managed to hold on for the win, so they actually have a chance to be bowl eligible if they can beat the Gators. I wouldn't have predicted that with the way the season started. This was my last weekend with the $10 Vidgo month, so I watched it on my laptop. The FSU/UF game is on ESPN, so I'll be able to watch. Good luck to your teams!
Waving to everyone. Hope you have a good Saturday.

Still cool mornings but 80 plus intense sun mid afternoon. Nine degrees too warm and sick of wearing summer clothes since April.
city picks up landscape refuse Monday so I sawed off some small reachable tree limbs interfering with others tout on the curb. Then before I ran out of ambition, I harvested a bunch of little Japanese eggplants that are ripe and made pasta ala Norma, often called Sicilian pasta. I can freeze the leftovers.
Hope your weekend is going well

Happy Sunday. We didnāt go to YS yesterday. The Farmerās Market is closed a d we didnāt need anything from the orchard. Iāll do the baguette dough on Wednesday and let is proof overnight on a in the fridge and bake Thursday. Our feeders have been busy as well. Probably good idea to get a backup IP while you can. You never know these days what will be in short supply. Sushi for Thanksgiving sounds good.
Linda, I hope the larger size shoes work out. We saw a crew of migrant workers digging trenches for underground cable lines and wondered how the company had managed that feat.
Kathy, I thought about your poor BIL during the game. I hate big blow outs like that, because I always feel sorry for the crushee.
It is a lot warmer this morning than yesterday morning. We are supposed to see rain all day. Thatās better than snow. We have to go to CVS for prescriptions today. I doubt if we will venture much farther than that. Iggy wants to cook. Today is stuffed zucchini, I think.

Kathy, congrats to FSU and UCF. The Gators are obviously beatable this season, so I hope the Noles can pull out a W next week. It should be a good game because both are 5 win teams, so somebody will go to a bowl game and someone will go home. We are definitely on the same side of that one. The Texas game turned out about like I was afraid it would. Clemson looked like the Tigers of old yesterday in the win over Wake Forest. And that was despite the QB being in this massive leg brace due to a sprained MCL. Dabo really needs to recruit a good backup QB. I guess you saw the TN game was the rout I thought it might be and they are now bowl eligible.
That OSU/MSU game was pretty ugly, Chele. I know what you mean about feeling sorry for the crushee. I cheered when South Alabama scored its first TD against Tennessee. Next week is the big game. The Blue haven't won one since 2015, but this could be the year. But then I didn't think yesterday's game would be so lopsided. I think it will be the Buckeyes and Georgia for the national championship. Those baguettes will be really fresh when you deliver them. I'm tempted to make fresh bread sans the Zo for Thanksgiving. It looks like dinner will not be sushi after all. Dale hit 4 grocery stores yesterday and found frozen FL shrimp at one and brought home 4 lbs. The man couldn't stick to a list if he tried š. He gets that from his DM. When I was in AL, DSIL made this really good shrimp and pasta dish that looks like it will be on the menu instead. I need to get a container of non-dairy whipping cream, but I think I have everything else I need on hand. It only takes about 20 minutes to fix, so I won't have to be in the kitchen all day. The shrimp there was fresh off the boat, so our thawed stuff may not be as good, but hopefully close. You're right about supply shortages and the IP. And, with it being such a popular item, they were slow in transit this time last year, so this year could be worse. Enjoy the stuffed zucchini and whatever else the chef conjures up.
Linda, I'm glad you're finally getting some comfortable weather so Micki can have longer walks. And, it's even better than you are feeling good enough to share in those longer walks. Arya has eaten a high fiber diet pretty much the entire time she has lived here. Phoebe did for the last few years of her life and had less gas than when she was eating kibble. That dog was able to clear a room! I was trying to order online from Salsarita's. When they are short staffed, online ordering always gets shut down. They won't take phone-in orders either. If you aren't standing in front of them placing an order, you're out of luck. With the number of times that has happened, I'm about to the point of just placing orders on Thursdays because I go right by one that is more reliable coming home from Osteo. The falafel place doesn't do online at all, and I call to place the order and Dale pays for it when he picks it up. They are pretty old school, but it works. I love your new avatar. So cute! We have the same problem with lack of immigrants in this state. And it's ironic because many people don't want them here at all and don't seem to realize how they make the economy work. We have a lot in the construction trades and it's taking forever to get things built these days.
Busy morning here so far. The IP and I have been making Jasmine rice for Dale and beef and oatmeal for Arya. It's workout clothes day and I need to put a loaf in the Zo. I was going to make a batch of fire cider but don't have all the ingredients I need. So that will have to wait til Wednesday. Arya and I did have some excitement a little while ago. I took her out after breakfast and a large buck that has been hanging around this week ran past us. Of course she wanted to chase, but there was no way I was taking her into the woods. I got a few pictures of him the other day and need to download them so I can change my avatar.

Chele, I always feel bad for the crushees during a blowout too unless it's FSU beating up on the Gators or Hurricanes. Karen, the FSU/UF game should be interesting this year. Both teams are 5-6, so bowl eligibility is on the line. Since FSU beat Miami, they could also be state champions with a win. Congrats to TN. I know you were expecting them to win, but you never know! I'm not a list shopper unless I have ingredients for a specific recipe, so I would've gotten the shrimp too. I'm sure they'll be delicious. Would love to see pictures of the buck. Linda, your little birds are cute! Interesting that there are a lack of immigrants, but supposedly hordes of them are coming in. I don't know why we can't come up with a system to match them with jobs and work permits. It seems like they're needed in a lot of areas.

We could have an immigrant system if it were not for political stalemate on progress. We used to.
This week will be grocery store crazy so tomorrow I have to get to Trader Joeās and Sprouts tomorrow for produce after I drop off my lace up too short shoes at shoe repair to stretch them. He is an authentic old Italian guy!
Laundry, bed change , desk work ā¦bank statement, bill pay day. Talked to db about when to safely and conveniently drop by on thanksgiving with the pumpkin pie and whole cranberry sauce his wife does not make. He is in a boot because he got an ulcer under a big callus on the bottom of his foot..something to do with hammertoe issueā¦yikes! His shoes are custom and $250 for work. He's a nurse in VA clinic, not on hospital floor.
Was going to do the old Betty Crocker chicken and dumplings using cream of chicken soup with milk, but DH wants toasted cheese and tomato soupā¦sounds good to me!
