Another beautiful day in the village. It truly is lovely here at this time of year. I will try to go outside for a bit today, I think. We talked to our granddaughters last night and heard their news. It was a good day AND the scale was down this morning...new low of 154.6 - Hooray!
CHERRY: Don't hurt yourself moving the microwave!
BEVERLY: I don't know how you stay away from the sweets when you bake.
LYN: Hooray for the drop on the scale, thank you for telling us the topic of the meetings, glad your husband was there to pick you up after the fall and that you didn't break anything. I hope you bounce back quickly and that you figure out how to get the turkey cooked and dinner on the table.

Good morning. Congratulations, Cathy, on your new low. Keep it going. Sometimes it seems that the closer you get to goal the slower it goes. As far as the microwave goes, it is a matter of dragging the box out the door and down 3 steps to the walk. The box has a hand hold which will make it easier to move.
Lynn, hope you heal quickly. Cooking the turkey shouldn't be much of a problem as you (or your husband) just stick it in the oven and let it cook. I guess I'd throw a couple of potatoes in the oven to bake and get some salads from the deli. If dressing is important just adding liquids to a mix shouldn't take much time or effort.
Today I'm going into town for a blood test and I'm going to get my COVID booster at the same time. It's partly cloudy today and still not very warm, but it is supposed to clear later and get up to about 44. I'll take as many days like this as possible.
Have a nice day, friends.

Good morning friends,
Nice day here today, after a day of mostly rain yesterday, the sun looks inviting.
They are still working on the house. They had said that it would probably take them 4 days, we are now on day 7. They still have at least 2 more days, then they will get a whole new person to put up the gutters & that should take a day. I was hoping that it would all be finished before Thanksgiving, but it may not be. After waiting for almost a year for them to start on it, I will not complain. So far, it looks really good. The windows that they have finished the trim on look brand new. Looking pretty good for this 54 yr old house.
Lynn, please be careful. Glad you are feeling better. What are you preparing for the Thanksgiving feast? I have to make the turkey & dressing (here in the South, it is called dressing), mashed potatoes & gravy & a couple of pies. The girls will bring the rest. They bring all the veggie side dishes. Thank goodness it is only once a year, else I would weigh 500 lbs.
Cathy, You are doing so good on your weight loss! It is just amazing! Does Lebanon have any celebration similar to our Thanksgiving? Your village seems so lovely.
Cherry, your quiet Thanksgiving sounds pretty darn good. I wouldn't mind a nice quiet day of watching the Parade & catching up on some rest.
Have a great day my friends.
