CJ, I'm so sorry that the furnace seems to still not be functioning properly. What a hassle it is to get things fixed properly these days. Thanks for the recipes. I wasn't too excited about the thoughts of tea loaf but once I saw the recipe I now love it. It's something dh will like also so I'll be making that one. I don't have dates so can't make the date one but I do need to buy some dates because dh loves date bars..the ones that have the date filling and a little bit of crumble crust on the bottom and sprinkled on top. Not that he needs to be eating all this because of his diabetes but we will be having Ginny's pecan pie bars, the tea cake, and date bars if I find dates at a reasonable price..and, of course, the cinnamon rolls.I'm looking forward to seeing your recipe for fantasy fudge.

Hi Ruth - If you do make the tea loaf I'll let you know that I used 4 tea bags to steep the tea for awhile, then removed them and added the raisins to it and let that mixture sit for 30 minutes. Also, I just used cinnamon as my spice, since I prefer it to allspice. I think I'm going to slice some of this up and freeze it, since it's so thick/dense I think it would freeze well. And also that will keep me from eating the whole thing in a few days I posted the fudge recipe on the previous page. Sure wish I could have some again.

Thanks for that info CJ, I was wondering how strong it should be. I wonder if you can freeze fudge. If you can you could do the same with it as with the tea loaf. It would be great if you could have more. I, too, have a problem with having to eat all of something although I've been getting better at not doing it but, for instance, I often make cranberry bread at this time of year and I never was able to keep from taking "just one more slice"
