Hi, PMDD is Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder. I call it PMS gone wild. It's an actual mood disorder that is linked to your menstrual cycle. About 1-3 days before your cycle you have the normal symptoms of PMS, along with a SEVERE feeling of hopelessness, depression, anger, suicidal or homicidal ideation. There can be hallucinations
Does anyone else deal with this or have someone that does? It's awful and I could use advice
I have gotten a lot of support on the general board, but thought I'd post here. thanks

I was also diagnosed with PMDD a few months ago , I don't know if it will EVER go away or if I'll ever be able to loose these frustrating pounds . It is refreshing to read that I'm not the little or only one with this

Lina85- I guess I started this and never checked back. Sorry.
I'm not sure why it's so hard to get a diagnosis. I've had these symptoms for years before they said something.
I've learned that Zoloft helps and trying to tell myself "this will pass" helps too.
