Good morning, my friends!!
I'll start us off...Colder here but not terrible.. I think there will be turkey soup on the menu today....I have a lot still in the fridge and two portions frozen for future meals....I did get rid of the carcass as I didn't have room in my fridge, so I will add whatever turkey I have.
I have been doing pretty well and am OP so far this weekend...I did go into some weeklies, but not too many.
Tree is up and considering it is our first fake one since we were married, it looks full and nice. I had to fluff all the branches, but it looks pretty full. I'll start decorating it today.
Have a great day!!

Good morning friends,
Tummy still revolting against all that I have put into it in the last couple of days. Seems as though anything with sugar in it, sets me off. It is nobody's fault but my own! Wine also has a bad after effect. I have been enjoying the white cranberry wine from a local winery. DD brought me a couple of bottles. I usually only have a glass of wine maybe once every couple of months, so I am not used to it. Thank goodness, today I will rid the house of all left-overs, either throw them out or freeze them. The wine is all gone, so no more of that. Time to get back on track!!!!! No more real temptations until next Sunday, Dec 6th. that is the family traditional cookie making day. Of course, I will be left with most of the cookies as I have a large freezer to keep them in. Hopefully, I won't be too tempted to take them out of the freezer & indulge.
Cooler here too, high today in the low 50's. Sunshine & not too bad at all.
No real plans for the weekend, just dragging out the Christmas stuff bit by bit. DGS will eat dinner with us on Monday, he will put the tree together. Can't put any decor outside, as they are still working on the house. They should be finished in a couple of days.
Lynn, This is the first tree since you have been married? You must be very excited to have it. I'm sure it is lovely. The real advantage of having an artificial tree, is being able to put it up and enjoy it as long as you want.
Waving to Cherry & Cathy. Have a great day everyone.

Bev, I meant our first artificial tree....sorry....I am very allergic to real trees and usually get sick, so we decided to bite the bullet and bought an artificial one at the end of the season last year!!
Hope you feel better!

Good morning. I usually wait until the first week of December to start putting up Christmas things. I have a smallish artificial tree that I put up. It was a fiber optic tree and already decorated but the control got lost so I put on a string of colored lights since I never could find the control for it. I suspect it somehow got put in the garbage when the kids and I were cleaning out the basement a few years ago.
I have plenty of leftovers from Thanksgiving too, especially turkey. I only got a small breast but it was more than enough for both of us. I have found a few recipes for using up leftover turkey, soup and casseroles so I'm going to try some of them. I also have the carcass of the breast I'm going to boil up and make turkey stock. Yesterday I baked bread as I was completely out.
Have a good day, friends.
