Yesterday was a quiet day at home. I had critter chores since hubby was in Beirut - he left before I woke up! Not sure what we are doing today. He mentioned going out BUT it is Friday and he doesn't LIKE going out on Fridays or weekends so???
CHERRY: I have never heard of turning a bottle on its side to get it to open...interesting. You must feel great having that chore dealt with. Will you do more canning this year?
BEVERLY: Hope you find cute cool clothes to pack for Florida!
PAM: Snow? Still? I hope it didn't snow and that summer will soon be there...or at least that spring will finally kick in for real.
LYNN: Hope you are having fun and not working too hard!
Good morning. I turn the jar on its side because it is easier to get at the side of the jar ring that screws on to the jar. The key is tapping the ring while turning the jar to break loose the ring where it is stuck to the jar. I don't know whether I will do any canning this year or not. I always like to make salsa, so perhaps I will do a batch of that if I have a good supply of tomatoes. The other thing I may do is some pickles, although freezer pickles are much easier to make. They are sweet pickles though.
I got shelf liner yesterday, so today I'm going to line those shelves and get things put back in place. I also never got to planting those seeds, so that is on my to do list also.
Have a great day, beaches.

Good morning girls, Very nice here this morning, they are calling for storms tonight though. I have to take my doggie into the groomer today, he just hates to get his toe nails trimmed, so I let the girl at the groomers do it. He will have to stay at the kennel for the next 2 weeks while we are in FL. My friend who usually keeps him, is sick and can't take him this time. DD works in Nashville & is gone 12 or more hrs per day, so it is very hard for her to keep him. I will just leave him at the kennel & DD will probably pick him up & keep him on the weekends. Both sons are very busy & one of them is going to be out of town himself. Plan on going to Hobby Lobby while he is at the groomers, would like to find a new inexpensive wind chime. My yard is beginning to come together, now the hard part, to tend & weed it all summer. It will really be grown up after our being gone for 2 wks. We have a guy that comes & mows, but that is all he does, no weeding of flower beds, etc. GS is spending the night with us tonite!!!!! He says he is going to miss us so while we are gone that he just wants to sleep over, I sure do love that kid!!! Enjoy your day.
Quick check in. Planning to invite my sister and her sister in law over for pasta tonight. They are cat sitting another sister's cats while they cruise. The temps are a bit chilly, but no perception yet. Have a great day beaches.
Hi all...we had a crazy day yesterday. DH had to go for a test, which took most of the day most of it because of technical difficulties with the equipment. All was well, though...Then we had to rush home for DNiece's confirmation. We were unable to make the church, but we did make the dinner. DH had a trial t oday, so we weren't able to stay for the whole dinner. The amount of food served was unbelievable!
I was down .4 and am determined to make a bigger dent next week.I know I have to rev up my exercise!
