We are all born in 1953 and are at different stages in our WW journey. This is a safe place to come and vent, celebrate or just toot our own horns. We get together every day so pull up a chair and join the fun and fellowship. We're glad you're here!

Good morning, everyone!
Cloudy outside this morning and 35 degrees. We've had rain overnight.
I didn't get to decorating yesterday as I had hoped. First, I spent a significant amount of time exchanging emails with the University of Minnesota's Alumni Market, which lists things alumni have for sale. They listed me and my books. Second, Shelf Unbound listed my novel, Defying the Ghosts, as one of their top 100 indie books for the year and I was posting that in various places.
Today is the first Friday of the month and I'm planning to go weigh in. I also need to go and check out a library book that I reserved and has come in.
Have a great day! Joan

Good morning!
I have been managing to walk around the house without my walker and I feel a lot more stable everyday. Today I am 15 days post surgery on my left total knee replacement. I saw my orthopedic surgeon Wednesday and he says that the knee looks really good, not too much swelling, but I need to work on making it straighter...
So I am doing that but boy that is not easy it hurts!
I did order a cane from Amazon which hopefully will help me if I get wobbly which I do occasionally.
My house updating is nearly done. Popcorn ceilings are gone. The entire interior is painted including all the ceilings... It's beautiful light gray that actually has a hint of a blue undertone and with my new blinds which were installed yesterday it looks like a beach house...
I'm loving it and really looking forward to the floors coming in hopefully next week or the week after. Once the horrible carpet is gone and we have the beautiful gray whitewashed looking floors installed it will make such a difference!
For some reason my weight has been going up a little everyday this week. From 123 to currently 126.2. it is very annoying because I have not been splurging and I've been staying under 30 points a day. I'm not exactly sure why it goes up like this. I know that with my body it tends to fluctuate up and down a little bit but it doesn't usually just fluctuate up over three or four day period! I really thought it would be down today...
I suppose it could be salt retention but it is frustrating when you know you're not really doing anything wrong let alone eating the amount of calories it would count for 1 lb weight gain let alone three!
I have a physical therapy appointment in about an hour and a half and in the meantime plan on getting another cup of coffee LOL.
I love hearing about everybody's Christmas plans. A friend of mine in the neighborhood is decorating our clubhouse for Christmas. She is so sweet she's brought me a couple of homemade soups while I've been recovering... I love my little neighborhood so many of the people are caring and friendly.
My little Jack Russell, Dash is sleeping buried under pillows and a blanket as usual. All is right with the world! ๐

shragae, Iโm glad everything is going well with you post surgery. Donโt worry about your little weight gain. Could be any extra meds, but once you can be more active it will most likely go down again.

Good morning ladies.
The sun is shining and it will be another mild December day with a high around 60. This won't last long but it's nice while it's here.
Well now our power recliner has decided to go out. I sat in it last night and when I pushed the button to lift the legs it made a noise and only raised up halfway. I put it back down and now it doesn't raise at all. It will lie back with no problem so it's just the leg part. I called this morning and the parts are still under warranty but labor isn't and it will be a whole month before someone can come out and look at it. So it will be the 6th of January before the service tech looks at it.
Shragae, you're doing fantastic. I wouldn't worry about the slight weight gain. More than likely it's a combination of swelling/fluid retention due to the surgery and not being as active.
Joan, I hope your books sales do well and congrats for your novel being listed in the top 100 indie novels!

Good Morning,
Itโs really foggy this morning. The fog is real thick and can hardly see the houses in my area. The fog is supposed to clear out with temperatures around 64.
Nothing going on here today. The garage door is stuck so we have called a garage door place and they are coming over to look at it. My dog is doing good after his dental yesterday.
Have a good OP day and weekend.
