No Excuses
* This is a daily thread for those who want to live by the philosophy that you CAN be ON PLAN EVERY DAY, whether you are doing SFT or counting points for ALL foods! * You aren't doing this to brag; you are doing it for YOU! Because YOU are WORTH IT and because WW has made this totally DOABLE! * WW gives you a lot of freedom and a LOT of options that make it quite possible to live this lifestyle EVERY DAY. * You know that this philosophy keeps you on the straight and narrow. If you give yourself an excuse to go off plan today, there will ALWAYS be another excuse tomorrow. * SO, there are NO EXCUSES!!! * This is your LIFESTYLE and it is a lifestyle you enjoy and you live it daily. * Hopefully your participation here will not only inspire YOU but will inspire OTHERS too! YES, you CAN!

121. If you live or work with a smoker who wonโt or canโt quit, eat more foods rich in vitamin C. Cigarette smoke is a major source of free radicals, which can damage cellsอพ vitamin C and other antioxidants help inactivate these compounds, and are โused upโ in the process. Passive smokers use up extra vitamin C and thus have low blood levels of this vitamin.

Interesting...had no idea that vitamin C could help resist the detrimental stuff in second hand smoke...

I smoked a pipe for a brief amount of time 40 years ago. I stopped . I am glad that smoking isn't so popular in the PacNW and lots of smoke free places. Even in France it is a lot better than it use to be.

We were just talking about this last night - how we take for granted the fact that we have so many smoke-free areas - like all restaurants and bars and public places in NY. It wasn't always like that. We were in Greece 14 years ago and people smoked everywhere - the airport, checking into your hotel, all cafes and restaurants. We talked about how sick that made us. How is it where you are, Cathy? Even in college classes, students smoked at one time. On airplanes too. We have come a long way.
